RETURN TO ATLANTIS | RICHAT STRUCTURE, SPAIN OR SANTORINI? | PAUL WALLIS

  • Is the Richat Struture the remaining artefact of the mythical city of Atlantis? What about the enigmatic site at Cancho Roano in Spain, or the myseterious island of Santorini, or the underwater remains at Yonaguni Jima, or on the coasts of Malta, Cuba or the Gulf of Cambay? Why is Plato our only primary source for Atlantis? Did it even exist and why does it matter? Paul Wallis takes us on a journey from the Mediterranean to Mauritania, from Spain to the world of ancient Greece to plumb the depths of Plato's fascinating story. Enjoy!

    For those curious about the trigger of the Younger Dryas cataclysmic cooling event, I recommend finding and watching Antonio Zamora’s videos about a comet/meteor fragment that he hypothesizes struck the North American ice sheet where Saginaw Bay, Michigan is now, at the same time as the one that hit the Greenland (Iceland?) ice sheet. We (Americans) lost most of our megafauna species: a second species of bison, lions, giant beavers, mammoths and mastodons, short-faced bears, saber-toothed cats, cheetahs, etc.

    • @CraftySasquatch
      @CraftySasquatch 2 місяці тому +1

      Nah that's only a portion of the event. Go to SuspiciousObservers and watch the disaster playlist.
      Galactic wave and sun interaction causes a 12k year cyclical micro nova . The evidence is overwhelming. A rock hitting earth is only a fraction of the event.
      Everything you think you know is wrong and it's by design.
      I come from the camp there are aliens but they are simply past humanoid species that survive from epoch to epoch and they are the breakaway society we call aliens.
      Beware the fake war on aliens after Trump takes office.

      Antonio Zamora makes a lot of sense, especially regarding the formation of the Carolina bays and the Nebraska rain water basins. Resulting from secondary impacts of large ice boulders thrown out from the primary impact(s) into the ice sheet(s).
      Also, Randall Carlson has done tons of research into the cause(s) of the younger dryas cataclysm.
      Also, must mention the "Comet Research Group" and the channel "Cosmic Tusk".

    Reoccurring dreams of living with neighbors and strangers in shopping malls and repurposed buildings. Water is always nearby as an obstacle or crossing. The moods of my people are cautious yet calm and receptive, as if working for a common goal. The focus on getting the most out our resources is palpable yet the mood is optimistic. The skies are grey-ish with the sun trying to peek through, and I’m always surprised with how well I’m handling all this. Then I realize that it is Us that is keeping the calm. I have this dream frequently

    Paul, the key to the Richat structure is this;
    Due to an earth crust shift (as Atlantis was flat) look at the ground and the angle of the water damage. If the earth crust dumped the city at a position perpendicular to the ground and then shifted mostly back to somewhat original, then the remains would be just directly under the continent, not off the coast, though a modicam of remains might be found at a depth.

    Excellent video, thank you. I've read so many past life regressions where people talk about their time in Atlantis, like in Dolores Cannon books. They have a common theme of the elites there abusing technology and messing with powerful tech they shouldn't have been--all of which led to the destruction. There were other things too that they did which hurt people; it wasn't a good place towards the end. Many said they are back to make sure we don't end up like Atlantis again--a chance to do it right this time.
    On another note, Paul, I know you are probably too busy to make audio versions of all your books, but your voice is too good not to. Thanks again for all that you do.

    In the ancient world, the cities were built to represent the world, the creation, and the temple of the gods. The city was a representation of the heavenly city. A Spanish city that shows these qualities isn't a sign of Atlantis, it just shows that the people who built it were aware of the proper way to construct a city. Atlantis could have been both symbolic and real. The ancients knew how to weave a narrative to highlight the spiritual and the temporal in beautiful ways.

    Well said, Rev. Wallis. If what Plato said is true about human civilization ( and I believe that it is if one goes with certain aboriginal teachings of the Hopi, Dogan, etc.), then we are long overdue for an extinction level event. Who will search for Atlantis when they can comb San Francisco, Sydney, NYC, and the like.

    A few corrections here are due. Schliemann did not discover anything. The first person to call Hisarlik the place of Ilion (Troya was the name of the kingdom), was Charles Maclaren, a Scottish journalist, in 1822. The first person to dig was British civil engineer John Brunton in 1855. He was succeeded by Frank Calvert who bought some of the land and continued the digging. Schliemann was wasting his time in some wheat field in Pinarbasi, some 10-20kms south of Calvert, in Pinarbasi. Calvert was short of money and he invited Schliemann to help him continue digging in "Troy".
    Schliemann went in with a heavy hand, destroying much of the site in the process. He was a treasure hunter, not an archaeologist/scientist. Schliemann is erroneously credited with the discovery of the nine levels of settlement simply because the already announced discoveries were done after he joined Calvert.
    The fact remains that Hisarlik is not confirmed to be Ilion/Troy because although the "scientists" claim the landscape "confirms it is Homer's Troy", that is pretty much a lie because the Homer's rivers do not exist in the plain of Hisarlik. Two CREEKS exist. These two do not join, and never had been joined in the past. Then, there are no high mountains with dangerous rapids, and - my favourite - the eels do not live in either of the two creeks today.
    In fact the eels mentioned by Homer are not native to turkey at all. The eels were introduced only in 18th-19th century as fish-cultivating industry, and were cultivated for export since turks do not know the fish and because it looks like snake, they did not consume it locally until much later.
    What is the real nature, and name, of that place may remain occult for as long as the lie about it being "Troy" persists. It is an old settlement with undoubtedly long and important history, which is being butchered by the "Troy" believers. What a pity and a loss for history and archaeology.
    Elevating Platon to the status of the most important intellectual of the "western thought" is a joke and should not be taken seriously. He is the guy who gave us 'god', not that israelitic dribble called 'old testament'. If he gathered his knowledge under the influence of drugs, his hallucinations can safely be deemed just that. Not because I am a naysayer. Because 2500 years later his "visions" have still not been proven right.
    To a smart person 2500 years of research are enough proof of Platon's claims' value.

    So here’s my thought…Atlantis is the Richat structure…The Sahara was a lush jungle. The Egyptians turned on their pyramid and the power went out of control and fried the entirety of the Sahara…in process of the sudden poof of forests… water with no trees to absorb poured through the Sahara and finding itself instantly wiping out Atlantis. This started a catalyst with the Amazon and the Mayan empire which due to the effects of the Sahara had severe climate change causing the Mayan to flee their empire and thus the once hospitable empire turned into a rainforest.

    Informative as always Paul. If Solon was the source, and he learnt it from Egyptian priests, then who were they? During Solon's time it would have been the 26th dynasty as Assyria captured Egypt. Here's an extract from my book on "Unveiling the Esoteric"...
    The Ethiopians themselves might not have held the Stone for very long, considering the 25th Egyptian Dynasty - the Kushite dynasty - reunified Egypt and consolidated its power, fragmented during the Third Intermediate Period. This period, from the 21st to 25th Dynasties (1080-680 BCE) occurred due to the Bronze Age Collapse, perhaps caused by climate change, which threw Egypt and other powers into a dark age. This could have also been what caused the collapse of the famed Atlantis.
    The Assyrian Pharaohs, known as the Saite Dynasty, would sack Thebes around 663 BCE and push the power of Kush all the way back south to Aswan and Abu Simbel, near the original stone circle of Nabta Playa. There is an intriguing theory that a group of Jewish exiles built a replica temple on Elephantine Island in Aswan circa 650 BC, in order to house the Ark and/or Stone. This would have been before the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem as the Kushites were retreating from Thebes....."
    When it comes to refining metals, the Kushite dynasty were experts in metal working and refining, long before Lower Egypt started to use iron. We also have to consider Tubal Cain, which means "worldy possessions" as per the masonic 3rd degree. Tubal Cain was the first artificer of metals, one of the hybrid giants or Nephilim, sons of Lamech, the first polygamist. This meshes with the warning of Plato against hubris and "eating the apple" of chasing the emptiness of ever more wealth and power.
    However, considering that it was the Black Sea that flooded with meltwater pulse 1b, I would suggest the Black Sea as the site for Atlantis. Especially as the Pillars of Hercules can also be considered to be in the Bosphorus Strait. Plus, the Anatolian regions around the Black Sea have historically offered significant copper and gold reserves in their mountains, which is needed for the "mountain copper" of Atlantis.

    Mauretania (Richat structure) is the best guess for Atlantis. Passing the pilars of Hercules by boat you just follow the coast along Africa and you reach it. When you look at the massive striations from the air or satellite over the Sahara it must have been a massive event, wiping out everything on its way. But most importantly, what is not mentioned is two curious things: Atlantis was south of the Atlas Mountains (Maroc), and that corresponds to Mauretania, and, according to Wikipedia and other sources, the first King of Mauretania is called Atlas... Well, if that isnt a coincidence, what is?

    • @alisonholland7531
      @alisonholland7531 2 місяці тому

      As an archaeologist I find the structure fascinating, it is an eroded elliptical dome of sedimentary rock, that ranges in age from the Proterozoic (2500 to 538.8 million years ago) within the centre, to Ordovician (488.3 to 443.7 million years ago) sandstone around its periphery.
      The dome has a diameter of 40 kilometres (25 mi), with an interior comprised of intrusive and extrusive igneous rocks, including rhyolitic volcanic rocks, gabbros, carbonatites and kimberlites.
      The rhyolitic rocks have been interpreted as lava flows that are part of two distinct eruptive centres formed from the remains of two maars, a low-relief volcanic crater caused by a phreatomagmatic eruption (an explosion caused when groundwater comes into contact with hot lava or magma).
      Archaeological research at the structure has revealed evidence of human activity, with numerous deposits of pre-Acheulian and Acheulian artefacts, characterised by the distinctive oval and pear-shaped “hand axes” normally associated with Homo erectus and derived species such as Homo heidelbergensis.
      Research by archaeologists have found Acheulean sites located along wadis that occupy the outermost annular depression of the structure, where outcrops of quartzite were sourced to provide the raw materials for tool manufacturing. Tool types found in Acheulean assemblages include pointed, cordate, ovate, ficron, and bout-coupé hand-axes (referring to the shapes of the final tool), cleavers, retouched flakes, scrapers, and segmental chopping tools.
      The indicators of human habitation are, to say the least, primitive and unsophisticated.
      They've found evidence of stone tool manufacturing, including Acheulean tools (such as hand axes), in the surrounding landscape, suggesting that early people might have used this area of the Sahara Desert for short-term hunting or habitation.
      This structure was formed MILLIONS of years before Atlantis was said to exist.

    Aristotle was a student of Plato, and in his book Meteorologica he also describes Atlantis, he also talks about " ancient greeks" and what seeds we could cultivate on the moon, especially the ones that don't need water to survive...he talks about people living on Earth before Apollo brought us the moon...please study Meteorologica if you haven't already, you will be delighted. I'd like to know your opinion on this information, would love to watch a video about this book... Plutarch in one of his books ( about the manifested face of the moons circles ) I'm not sure if i translated that correctly....he writes that he believed that Atlantis sunk because the moon was brought to our solar system...also the moon is a base for the Olympians...

      Many people believe the Moon is artificial and came into orbit around the Earth relatively recently in geologic time. Apparently, there are ancient myths that describe a time when there was no moon. So, it seems that Aristotle's writings are in accordance with what some people believe today in alternative science circles.

      Thank you Paul for the updated summary of Atlantis’ whereabouts. As you got to stating the “mid Atlantic” possible location I was expecting you were going to investigate the Acores archipelago! But, you didn’t go there. I presume you had discounted it for logical reasons. Yet, it has been often mentioned as a possibility by other researchers. Though about 1,000 miles or 1,300 km west of the Portuguese coast and, definitely outside of the Pilars of Hercules and… possibly near enough for a sophisticated navy to sail to Greece and attack it!? What do you think of it as a candidate? Mahalo.

    Thank you Paul! Great episode. Iliad and Homer's Odessey are some of my favorites from childhood and adulthood! Its too detailed not to be real. Yaweh says he will send a plague if you do not pay tax, Apollo gets mad at people for stealing his priest's daughter and Also sends a plague. Uncanny! Atlantis seems to have abused their tech and advancements so... not sounding like a utopia. Maybe Mu or Lumeria was more peaceful? Very exciting info!

    So in the puzzle of atlantis Documentary, they talk about the fact that the main issue with Plato's works is that most people miss translate and place Atlantis in the Atlantic ocean and the man literally discusses that they had to completely go and re. Translate that story because, in other stories. Plato says the word for ocean in his other stories and the word that's translated for ocean in. Atlantis is not actually ocean.It's another word for like like a sea or a body of water, but it's not the same as ocean.Which completely changes the location of it and it also discusses how atlantis was never claimed to be flooded it which also changes what happened.

  • @Henri_Hofmann
    @Henri_Hofmann 2 місяці тому +2

    The most plausible theory for me, however, is not mentioned ^^
    Especially if you have read Plato, you should take Plato's tradition a bit more seriously.
    That the story of Plato is not something invented should be clear, if only because of the chain of transmission, which can be verified.
    What do we have?
    1. We have an Egyptian priest who claims that the Greeks have no ancient knowledge.
    2. It becomes obvious that not only Atlantis perished but also the ancient Greece. This fact is often ignored, although it would be the most important clue.
    3. The priest makes a statement about a period and if we add this up with the chain of transmission to Plato, we get pretty close to the abrupt extinction and collapse of populations due to a comet impact and the onset of the Dryas (a short climate phase at the end of the Ice Age). This may be the Taurid or Encke comet.
    In this event, we could count about 12,800 years, which would be relatively close to the vague statement of the priest.
    In principle, we are talking here about a flood around the Mediterranean, i.e. both Greece and Atlantis would be affected, and it could be the same event that the Sumerians report, and whose story the Bible uses with the Noah myth. In principle, everything would be connected.
    4. Assuming that this is the flood, of which several myths report, then we have the advantage of location information, because in many myths there are locations, even if the stories are of different nature. The Epic of Gilgamesh and also the Noah myth go more to the north, the Greek myth, however, goes to the south.
    It is noticeable that no story goes beyond the Black Sea and ultimately the Black Sea is also not affected, as the drilling there proves. In front of this sea, there is among other things a mountain range, but already in the Noah myth, the ark landed on a mountain before. So it seems as if the water then flowed back over Greece into the Black Sea, provided there is something to the myths.
    This also means that Atlantis should not be too far away.
    5. It is spoken of the pillars of Heracles and that is the crucial point because they marked the end of the world for the Greeks, but it is likely that there had to be at least two of them, namely in the west and in the east.
    If you take the existing pillars today, none of Plato's statements make any sense, i.e. it no longer makes any sense. But if you move the pillars eastwards near Tunisia, suddenly all of Plato's statements make sense.
    Plato described something that looked like a bay, and if you consider that you used to be able to drive from the Mediterranean to the Chott el-Jerid from Tunisia, then it at least makes sense. But that is exactly what it is, we are talking about chotts, these are all waters that are now more silted up or no longer navigable, and exactly that was the point of Plato. If you connect all the chotts, then you would have a kind of separation, like a big island, including the western underground waters that have been found.
    6. The Sahara was once green, i.e. elephants used to graze there and now no longer. Thus, the issue of elephants is also given.
    7. Atlantis was close to the sea. If the chotts are indeed our connection to Atlantis, then the sea is really not far away. Furthest north is the Chott el Hodna.
    8. Poseidon was not always a Titan of the Greeks, he is actually a Titan of the Atlanteans. In the dialogue "Critias", it is described that Poseidon had a special place on Atlantis. Some theories suspected his seat in North Africa. The point is that Poseidon plays a key role. In his story, he gave Atlas an island, and indeed the northern part of Africa is still called the Atlas Mountains today, and I already mentioned that if you connect the chotts, it looks like an island, but even parts of it are still called the Island of the West today. This term is still used to refer to the western parts of the Arab world, especially the Maghreb region, which includes Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Mauritania.
    9. The northern part of Chott el Hodna fits perfectly with the priest's description because we are talking about a plain where rectangular ditches were laid out, and the plain was also surrounded by mountains on all sides. Further north, there are even traces of long-forgotten paths.
    10. The problem with the Atlantic Ocean is not a problem, because in the old Jewish writings, the Book of Jubilees, the "Sea of Woe" or "Sea of Destruction" is mentioned. If you take the geographical indications of the old texts, especially the Book of Jubilees, the Mediterranean Sea could be considered the "Sea of Woe". This body of water is brought into connection with the "Great Rift" or "Great Abyss", which is also discussed in this book. Mariana Trench?
    Another author thought that with "Yam Ma'uk" the present Atlantic Ocean was meant, which he saw as a clue that the names used to be different, which is why the term Atlantic Ocean and Atlantic Sea lead to confusion here.
    However, if the northern part of Africa was once separated by a waterline, then it could well have been considered the same sea.

    While the impact theory is feasible one must also consider the theory that our sun has recurrent Micro Nova events like many other stars. Such cyclical Nova events would dramatically alter the topography of the Earth but also would wipe out any advancement of humanity leaving only a relative few number of survivors to start all over once again.

    Paul, the search for Atlantis, while captivating, is not crucial to understanding the natural processes that govern life throughout the cosmos. These processes, which are part of the grand cosmic cycle, will eventually bring Atlantis back to its original position as we transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius. The continent that once housed Atlantis, currently buried under the ice of Antarctica, will return to its equatorial position due to the periodic repositioning of Earth, influenced by its liquid core and irregular shape. This movement is part of a natural, inevitable cycle that will see Atlantis reemerge as a cradle of a thriving and purposeful humanity, marking the dawn of a new age. Those who can truly hear and see will recognize these signs and be ready to emerge into the Age of Aquarius, where new possibilities and understandings will unfold.

    Very good analysis and observation by Paul Wallis, and very professional, a pleasure to hear him.
    But regarding the comet 12800 years ago why don't you look at the Nibiru option ? That planet has a long tail and the evidence says that such meteors and asteroids rocks fell on Earth (due to magnetic fields interference with the Earth). And this precisely matches the theory of the Deluge and Tsunami as said so by Zechariah Sitchin. And for me Atlantis was not in Spain but there where was the main centre of Ancient Civilization. In India / Sri Lanka coast ....those cities and civilization spanned from Mesopotamia to India. 12800 years ago matches the time of building of the Pyramids around 10500 BC at the time of LEO, symbolized by the Sphinx.

    There have been some suggestions about structures similar to the description of Atlantis under the city of Jaen in Spain, more to the south than Badajoz, in Andalusia. There has also been controversy in this respect, and I cannot say if it is true or not, but, in my opinion, maybe there were trying to replicate a model of what once was the real Atlantis, hence the figure of the warrior protecting it. Possibly, Spain was not the location of Plato's depiction, but it could have been a pattern to follow.
