The parts are marketed as brand new, cheaper but brand new. Amazon once sold a brand new inverter but when the battery was inspected it was found to be 5yrs old. Advice to all consumers: make sure you inspect all your cars before every service or repairs bcs they also take the good parts from your car a replace them with older parts and many car owners never check for this.

Companies are putting profits ahead of their customers. Being vigilant could save your life or save you a lot of money one day. I bought an apartment frm a very dodgy company (did not know at the time of purchase), I did not know anything about building and construction but I took it upon myself to educate myself and inspected everything. According to the contract of purchase, any defect or malfunction was covered by the company at no cost to me because I had not signed a transfer of ownership form. All the defects and malfunctions I reported were repaired at no cost to me. My neighbour made the mistake of taking the sellers at face value and he signed the transfer of ownership form without thoroughly inspecting his unit. within weeks, he found out that there were so many wrong things with his apartment but he was no longer eligible for free correction. His geyser was faulty, the oven was poorly installed and defective, his bathroom door on a rail was not properly installed either. he is looking at a R15 000 that he must fork out to fix the problem. Had he inspected , this fix would have been done at no cost to him.
