Canny video, see ya getting a bit of a studio setuo now. Editing with the integrated video and switching between feeds now too. That screen looks very vivid, for the price if ya not running a bmw, that unit will probably make more sense as it doesn't make use the wonderwheel.
Your is only video that showed the back of unit mounted, thanks for that. Also how many cm does the unit come out from mounted bar on bike, as on one of my bikes it might block tft a bit.
Hi, Ive just ordered my first bike for 15 years so I'm out of touch with the tech, I love my android auto in the cars and want it in my bike, I like the look of these but am wondering what's the advantage to these over installing android auto on my phone and using that? (Apart from dash cams)
So if you mounted your phone there are a number of drawbacks which usually are not wanting to mount your expensive phone on your bike in case it flies off or you crash, the vibrations can affect the camera modules on phones with OIS and also phone screens tend to suffer in heat with prolonged use and often don’t get bright enough compared to dedicated units. I’ve used all kinds and while you absolutely can use your phone it’s always a risk. Plus phones don’t tend to be as glove friendly as dedicated bike units. I’ve used a phone on a quad lock countless times and it definitely works but there’s always a trade off
@TheStammeringBiker Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question, much appreciated. I think fitting one of these will be one of my first jobs when she arrives.. cant wait 😆
Great review Paul. I've just received one of these, which appears to be a re-branded version of the Aoocci c9 max that I was expecting. TBH, I wasn't entirely happy about this but it seems to be the same unit. However I was expecting the power lead to have a positive and negative only as was shown in a review by the 'Bingly Wheeler' This unit also has a yellow switched live, so this makes the wiring install less straightforward as I have a switched live socket I was intending to make use of at the far rear of my Tiger 1200 so I'm unsure of what I should to with the yellow wire!
Great video Paul, decided to get this on your recommendation for my GS, do you know how and what app you use for video playback on your smartphone. Many thanks.
You’re very welcome! And I think I put a link to the app in the description but if not it’s called Viidure and you can use that to connect directly to the unit and access the stored footage :)
Possibly, it’s designed to run directly off a 12v feed from the bike so it doesn’t come with a USB connection. However I have tested both the C6 Pro and also the CHIGEE AIO-5 Lite on my bench using a USB cable which has a built in step up converter and they seemed to work just fine. So I think potentially you could do the same with this but I cannot say for sure and how long it would last unfortunately.
Hi Paul, hope you are well, Can I just pick your brain, did you have the silver side panels powder coated or are they wrapped, just noticed them in a previous video and I want the same look? Many Thanks Jay
Hey Jay, I was considering having them painted but I opted for some stick on gel stickers from AliExpress, they look “ok” and make the silver less intrusive. Happy to share the link :)
@ I was going to see if I could get them powder coated but just wondered if you had and how they turned out. P.S thanks for the discount code on the Aoocci, bought my Mrs it for birthday 👍
Hey, currently running with the CHIGEE as I like the ability to be able to remove it easily off the bike. Not there’s anything wrong with the C9 I just prefer to be able to take it off the bike
@@TheStammeringBiker thx for update, chigee is a tad expensive for me so probably looking to grab a C9 in new year and then work out a quick release bracket that connects to nav prep. 👍👍👍
@@bully8711 if I’d been spending my own money I’d probably have found the CHIGEE a little steep so would have gone with either the C9 or the Carpuride W702 Pro
No it doesn’t have its own built in GPS chip but I’ve not found this to hinder the navigation in any way. I’m waiting for my C6 to arrive so I can compare
I have the C6 Pro ready to review, will hopefully get the video out soon. Both are great units but I need to test the C6 more before I can say. They are VERY similar to be fair
I don’t think anything is really theft proof, to steal it quickly I think you’d have to cut the wires in order to get away swiftly then it kinda defeats the purpose. To remove it intact wouldn’t be a quick job but I don’t think it’s “anti theft”
Physical buttons have there pros and cons Makes life easier, especially with gloves on but its a weak spot for water ingress. Lets not kids ourselves these are cheap so won't hold up once they get used and abused.

Nice review sir. Virtually the same as the Innovv 6" unit.
Certainly seems incredibly similar! 😎
They probably build it for Innovv and just change logos etc
Great video Paul thank you soo much for the shout out buddy ❤
Very welcome mate! 🥰
Great video! Did you check how accurate the TPMS was in the end?
Thank you! From memory when I went back a compared it was reading high by about 2psi compared to the TFT :)

Definitely mate! I think there is possibly a remote you can get for it as I’m sure I saw mention of it in the UI.

I’m honestly not 100% sure as I’ve now removed it but it does stick out a fair way to be honest

I wired both the red and yellow into the switched live feed which seemed to work ok for me but yeah I was also expecting just 2 wires

Thanks for the vid. Can you use any map app on this without connecting to the phone?
No unfortunately not, all of this units regardless of the brand aren’t standalone devices they need a connection to a phone :)
Can it be powered by powerbank

Fair point, water ingress is always a worry when it comes to any physical buttons or ports
