@@CajonMaster I haven’t played in months. Other things going on. Just started again and found out the cajon really works well for American blues. Pretty simple patterns for beginners.
I just had something interesting happen. I put my phone on video and put it BEHIND my cajon. The audio has much less snare noise on the bass notes than what I hear while I’m playing. 🤷♂️
Thank you so much for your video, It is awesome! I just placed an order last week for a Buleria with the new tulip tapa. Even more excited for it to arrive after seeing this! The passion behind these is truly special.
There is something unbelievably special about artisan-made products. Even with the machines, it takes so much work to get the right wood and a steady hand to keep it from falling apart. Traditions like these are passed down through the centuries and hopefully for many more to come.
Wow I have been waiting to watch this since you posted it, just needed the time. And it was well worth the wait, what an incredible video and well made. It was great to watch and I have learnt a LOT. I am thinking about replacing my current Cajon and I think I know which one to go for next :) Thanks again Felipe you must be very pleased with your unique Cajon, I'm looking forward to listening to it being played 👍🏻
Amazingly done. What an awesome process to do it. So precise, so mind blowing! I heard the sound of it from your other video and its so great! How I wish I can have Meinl cajon too... You rock man, nice vid! 🤘
@@CajonMaster i have decided that Artisan Minera Line would be great for me. The relation cost / benefit work for me, and here in Germany the price and delivery cost are very affordable. Thanks for all ur help!!!
For a comparison and please…no disrespect to you or this video, have you seen on UA-cam how a Kopf Cajon is made? How Kopf selects their SOLID 3/4” thick natural woods? How Kopf uses a finger joint to clamp and glue the 3/4” solid pieces together? How Kopf vacuum seals and sandwiches their Tapa face plate? All of this makes their Cajon sound deeper, richer, warmer with a fantastic response! I would check Kopf Percussion out!
Great video. I hope the maestro does wear protective gear when he isn’t showing you how to do it. All that fine sanding dust and aerosols can’t be good for your lungs.
Hate to be that guy, but: When in the segment about the Tapa he says „it‘s natural for the water to flow down, so the veins of the wood grain need to point down“, I‘m pretty sure the wood veins are pumping water *upwards* inside the tree…
Felipe, what a great video. I’ll bet you had a great time. And now you have a custom cajon. Fantastic
It was a great experience my friend :) Can't wait to start sharing the videos with the new cajon ;)

Great to hear you are back and motivated. Blues is great on cajon. Have you seen my blues shuffle tutorials?

Great point! thanks for the words.
One note though, I hope Pepote and his crew normally wear masks. A build-up of wood dust both crude and fine is not good for the lungs. 🙂
Yes he does. And all the workers as well.
This was an amazing video. Thank you my friend.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely wonderful!!! Love your choice of tapa as well!! And the 3 Amigos playing, whooo!!!
Thanks so much!!

This was such a well-produced and educational video. Felt like I was there with you. I kept imagining Mr. Rogers on a neighborhood visit, haha.

Sangat menarik, masyarakat, musik dan cajonnya ❤❤❤❤❤
Wonderful video! I chose Meinl for my cajon and accessories. My next cajon will be an artisan series.
Good choice!
DE VERDAD QUE ESPECTACULAR. Creo que termine de ver el video que me faltaba. Que genial. Gracias por ayudarme a elegir mi primer cajón pro.
Happy to hear that! Let me know which model?! 👌😉

Thanks for the video, Felipe. But I have a Pepote's cajon and it's a real piece of crap.
Really? which model do you have?
A Martin Röttger Signature. It sounds like a fruit box. I use it by the lateral por practise.
