I would invest in a spiral upcut router bit if you're going to be doing bowties (or any engraving really) on the regular. If you've already got the jig, why not use the scroll saw to cut out the bowties instead of the table saw. My blood pressure went up 10 fold watching that. Also, you're not the only one that has slammed one of those blades into the hand. I've taken to wearing a cut resistant glove whenever I've got no other good options.
The scroll saw doesn't have a reference fence or miter slot. In retrospect I suppose I could have clamped down a temporary fence to cut them out. 🤷♂️ As for the router bits, you're right, I definitely need an upgrade from the little keyhole bit if I want to do more inlay like that in the future. And as for the spatula saw thing, it's good to see I'm not the only one who has been attacked by those things. Stay safe! Thanks for watching!
Great job for an amateur. 👍🏻
Thanks Jane!
I have a first aid kit in my shop now because of that saw.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has been attacked by such a simple tool. 😂
