Just booked it for February. Been wanting to go for so long. Was been turks and caicos or exuma but I feel like Exuma beaches look better .. Did u feel like u needed a 4x4 vehicle or would any car be fine?
Congrats! You're going to have a great time. I would highly recommend renting a Jeep. That's what we had. We had some crazy rain that caused flooding on the streets and dirt roads and we had no issues. Also, the roads have a lot of pot holes so having a vehicle with higher clearance is really nice. Some of the roads are dirt roads too. We were the only ones at Cocoplum Beach because of the flooding on the roads due to rain.
Hey Mackenzie, I'm so excited for you. It's such an amazing place. We booked through Exuma Water Sports. I was actually looking at google earth and identifying some of the beaches you have explored to see if they are worth visiting and your video is so helpful that it makes it easy to see which ones we should visit. I read that renting a car maybe challenging when its peak season. Who did you rent your car from? Thanks again for a very informative video.
Ask your rental as well. We always rent a cottage that comes with a 4wheel drive and a boat, right on the beach down in Rolleville in front of the sandbar around Man-O-War Cay.
We were there in June and we had crazy rain with flooded streets, but we rented a Jeep and were still able to get around. It would rain for 4 or 5 hours and then it would be clear again. The locals said that was the most rain they had in a long time. The said it's normal to have rain in June, but not that much.
How many days did you spend there in exuma ? How many days would u say is the perfect amount??? Also, every place u went was beautifully and seemed like the weather was perfect with no rain.. what month did u go?
We spent 9 days in the Exumas. That was perfect for us. It allowed us to explore all these beaches and go back to our favorites. We went in June and they had a lot of rain. The nice part is that after it would rain, it would clear up like the footage you're seeing. Hope that helps 😃
Oh that stinks that you didn't see any fish. Did you snorkel along the the left side of the beach along the rocks and piers? That's where we saw the fish. I guess everyday is different in what you're going to see.
We wanted to hit the cut/lazy river beach, but Minn's Water Sports doesn't allow you to go that far. Man-o-war Cay is the farthest they let you go. We also ran out of time to fit it in. We are definitely going to do that on our next trip there. It looks so fun!

Hello Jordan, do you remember the length of time when you left Man-O-War Beach (your last destination) and head back to George Town to return boat? Would you say 30 minutes or 45 minutes? Thank you!
It's been a while so I don't remember exactly, but I think it took us about 40 minutes to get back.
@@JordanOutside ok thanks for the info, so we would have to leave at 4:00 pm.
@@trangkev That sounds about right. I would ask the person you rent your boat from at the shop just to make sure.
what drone did you use to get the footage?
I have a DJI Mavic 3.
@JordanOutside yikes. I hear February is the dry season so hopefully I'll have better luck.
Hi, Jordan!
When did you record this video, because all the beach is quiet don’t see wave!
What time of the year were you there, there's no wind!?
We were there in June.
What company did you book your excursion with? Very helpful video! Planning our trip for November now 😁
Hey Mackenzie, I'm so excited for you. It's such an amazing place. We booked through Exuma Water Sports. Here's the link: exumawatersports.com/tours-rates/full-day-007-staniel-cay-swimming-pigs-tour/
You can also watch our video that is specific to that excursion: ua-cam.com/video/L9qd6402FD4/v-deo.htmlsi=TYWRqgb8cLafjnY8
Hope that helps 😃
I was actually looking at google earth and identifying some of the beaches you have explored to see if they are worth visiting and your video is so helpful that it makes it easy to see which ones we should visit. I read that renting a car maybe challenging when its peak season. Who did you rent your car from? Thanks again for a very informative video.
Thanks for the kind feedback! We rented a jeep from Airport Car Rental. This is their Website: www.exumacarrental.com/
Ask your rental as well. We always rent a cottage that comes with a 4wheel drive and a boat, right on the beach down in Rolleville in front of the sandbar around Man-O-War Cay.
Hey! What do I need to provide (documentations) to the boat rental company in order to rent a boat like yours ?
Great question. I provided my ID and a valid credit card. That was it. I did make the reservation in advance.
Thank you!
Which time of year were you there, and how much rain did you experience?
We were there in June and we had crazy rain with flooded streets, but we rented a Jeep and were still able to get around. It would rain for 4 or 5 hours and then it would be clear again. The locals said that was the most rain they had in a long time. The said it's normal to have rain in June, but not that much.
@@JordanOutside Thanks!
@@JordanOutside awesome. Thanks for the info. Can't wait to visit there one day. Looks beautiful
In february the water sea is ok?
We were there in June. I don't know what the sea is like in February. Sorry.
Went to Jolly Hall beach today . Didn’t see any fish.
Oh that stinks that you didn't see any fish. Did you snorkel along the the left side of the beach along the rocks and piers? That's where we saw the fish. I guess everyday is different in what you're going to see.
So you missed going to the Lazy river beach ?? You passed it multiple times , it’s probably the best spot in all of the Exumas ..
We wanted to hit the cut/lazy river beach, but Minn's Water Sports doesn't allow you to go that far. Man-o-war Cay is the farthest they let you go. We also ran out of time to fit it in. We are definitely going to do that on our next trip there. It looks so fun!
What is that excursion called that’s exactly what I want to do!! Looks so fun!!
Hey Jessica, you'll love it. Here's the link to the exact excursion we booked: exumawatersports.com/tours-rates/full-day-007-staniel-cay-swimming-pigs-tour/
@@JordanOutside do you think it’s worth it even if I am going to stay in exuma? It looks really fun.
@@jessicakilburn Hey Jessica, we really second guessed if the cost was worth it. After going, it was definitely a highlight of our trip. For us it was worth it and we highly recommend it. I don't get anything for recommending this excursion, we just really liked it. If you can afford it, it is worth it.
@@JordanOutside awesome! Just wondering if I should rent a boat or just do this excursion. But I think I’ll just do the excursion and rent a car instead. Thanks for the advice!
Did you fly into George Town ? And did you stay on Exuma?
Yes, we flew into George Town. We rented an Airbnb. Here's the link of where we stayed: ua-cam.com/video/W9UZOEdTyB8/v-deo.htmlsi=C8Lwt5HX_jAyRtxb
How much did the boat rental cost?
We rented the boat for 2 days and it came out to $287. We rented through Minn's Watersports in George Town on Great Exuma. Hope that helps 😃
@@JordanOutside$287 per day?
🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thank you 😃
