One of my all time favorites. Missed the finale in the sixties, FINALLY saw the final episode a few weeks ago on UA-cam. Now watching from the beginning.
Some inaccuracies in your video: - "If a fan missed even a single show, they'd certainly be confused while tuning in next week." This is not true. Each episode was self-contained. The only exceptions were a few 2-parters. - The train footage was not from the American comedy you mentioned. It was from a French film. You can even see French writing on the side of the train. - "Much of the show's music was also recycled." It was only a few music cues, lasting a few seconds each. And they weren't stolen from other shows. They were taken out of the studio's vast library of audio files. - "During its 3rd and 4th seasons, it dropped in popularity." The TV ranking changed when the weekly schedule changed. But the show was very popular throughout its entire run, and still winning awards and critical acclaim. The series was not cancelled because of poor ratings. David Janssen chose to quit the show because he was physically tired and starting to have health problems, and he was going through a divorce. He eventually died of a heart attack 13 years later.
I remember watching this show in syndicated reruns in the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s and 1980s. I had a girlfriend who was born on August 29th, 1967. She was born on the day the final episode of The Fugitive aired on TV. Every week, a new city, new job, and unresolved plots. Have all seasons on DVD 📀.
The Incredible Hulk tv series in the 70's followed the same basic formula of The Fugitive. David Banner was simply a fugitive that transformed from time to time into a superhuman rampaging green beast.
This was before I was born but I saw some of them in reruns and also saw the movie version. Thank you for another great video Facts Verse and I hope you have a wonderful evening 🌟

I've seen the Twilight Zone on Blu-ray and it looks incredible. This great series deserves the very same treatment and should be preserved in a pristine state.
I know that when my parents first watched an episode, it was only because another show that they liked..... didn’t air that night. My mom flipped to its channel and we all were fascinated after seeing him run from that train wreck. It would have been nice to have seen the first 5 or 6 episodes, but we kept watching until it ended.
The acting was really great in this show. It was really well done by everyone who participated in it. But in the show itself, Kimble in several episodes saved Gerard's life. He also saved his wife's life in one episode.. And even his son's life in another episode. It's bad enough that Gerard is not thankful, but couldn't he reason that after Kimble did all that, that he could not possibly be a murderer. In the last show after Kimble was exonerated, Gerard holds out his hand and Kimble shakes it to show there are not feelings. That's not the way I would have reacted.
What channel is that on? I never even knew there was a new version of the show, although I do remember the short-lived second version from a couple of decades ago.
The same fugitive story couldn’t be pulled off today. In the mid 60’s information moved much slower than it does today. In those day’s newspapers, three TV network news sources, radio and word of mouth! Today, it’s not plausible for a fugitive to evade the law for years and years! It was a stretch even then! The only way for a new Fugitive series to work would be for it to be once again set in the 60’s.....
The fact that I never heard of a 2020 version proves how insignificant it is lol. Can't replace David Janssen and Barry Morse, even the movie with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones which I like a lot couldn't top them.
I remember the one armed man had a hook hand and he raised it to kill doctor Kimble at power plant and it hit a power cable and he was fried from it. I’m not sure if it ended that way or not I was a little kid.
This is a happy memory for me.
Both myself and my late Mother loved this show
I had little in common with my Dad but we both had this ehow in common.
Great program. Loved David Janssen.
Yes it was, I Loved Him Too.
Very good actor
This was a family show in my house back when I was a child....enjoyed it.
Saw all the episodes while a teen. Never forgot it! Best shows at that time.
Yes I also saw a Lot of them-I also like the new version with harrison ford and Tommy lee Jones.
One of my all time favorites! Janssen was a fine actor and passed away far too young.
@@shadboy New? It came out in 1993 LOL
@@kendallrivers1119 True but they keep re-doing it like h. ford & t.l. jones!!

The Fugitive and Dallas were my all time favorites ever!

David Jansen said more with his eyes than he did with words.
His rare smile also conveyed a lot
Never missed a Show..
Watched the show as I was a kid! it even aired twice a week sometimes! it was such a great series and it made an equally great movie too!
Yes, I remember when the movie came out...... I wasn’t sure how good it would be. Wow it is very, very good.

Episode still come on TV and it is very good

I felt the name of Bruce.Banner was changed in The Incredible Hulk to David to pay homage to David Janssen.

Thank you so very much for the ❤️ Facts Verse 🌟
Please upload all the episodes of this favorite series. Thanks
I was a huge fan, I still watch it on MeTV.
NBC and CBS both turned the show down fearing it might cause a backlash from law enforcement.

Well, these are noble sentiments, but what do they have to do with this video?
Perfectly cast.
Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?

I used to watch that in the regular time but I was younger and then in rerun David Janssen was the best
Yes he was the best.
The TV show "The Incredible Hulk" and the 1987 series "Werewolf" were inspired by "The Fugitive".
The Prisoner was another popular series with some clever twists (for its time)
"The Prisoner" featured Patrick McGoohan, who also played the lead role in "Secret Agent". Two great TV shows.
You could still follow the series even if you missed an episode or several episodes. What is he talking about?!

I'm from Beloit, Wi. Didn't know that it was supposed to be his home town!
David Janssen was and is the only Fugitive.
Thanks for watching!

i thought season 3 was filmed in color
Just Season 4.
Today, we call the narrative approach to television serial storytelling. Babylon 5 is another example of effective narrative television.
To this day I cannot figure out why the one-arm man decided to climb up the amusement park ride instead of finding a ground-level exit.
I don't think you even said the name of the star, everybody else but not him.
@D Lopez David Janssen
@D Lopez We ALL make mistakes my friend. : ) Takes a big person to admit it.
I have the newest one with Harrison Ford.
I really like that movie and have watched it many times. To me, this film was done so very well, that it was a tribute to the original.

Peter Rugolo was not mentioned.
Yeah, the music was incomparable!
