Yeah definitely can't wait for part 2! I also can't wait to try this and hopefully be able to get it down. Those last two combo's are the ones I like the most! They always sound so good together, just can't get the hang of it though. After practicing with them and watching this vid over and over hopefully it'll begin to come together
Hey MaN you are god sent. Self taught old timer here, thank you for the breakdowns. Love the content PleasE PleasE keep the lessons coming. I can scratch a little (the basics) but can never put together combos, you have changed that. Bless Up.
New self taught old timer too! 42 years old and 7 months in. Working on speed and that fader-bounce for Swing Flares. Frustrating some days but I love it. Thanks!
@Shiva - one thing that’s helped me over the years is being more deliberate when practicing. For example - I’ll practice chirps ONLY for a few minutes, trying to get them cleaner and cleaner each and every session. Do the same thing for transforms, flares, baby scratches, tears, etc. The first few years that I started scratching - I would just freestyle, and I found that I would plateau quickly, because I didn’t have each and every scratch down, perfectly. Good luck, brother! Happy DJing!
After watching you I feel I have a chance at executing this. Never felt confident before... This definitely looks doable with practice... Great teacher you are

Hello. I was wondering if you can tell me what dj gear you have in this video. i just subscribed and this is the only video i saw just now. Also, where can i get my mits on a set of dj gear you have? And if so, let me in on how much it is? thanks for your help. i am looking into buying a set but don't know what? thanks
Yo! Thanks for the sub! So I’m using two rane 12 controllers/turntables, and the mixer is a pioneer DJMS9. The controllers are $799 or $899 each, and the mixer is is $1500 now I believe. If you buy it in a bundle, you can get all 3 for a discount from: idjnow.com - I use that site a lot. There’s also the rane one controller that just got released not too long ago that’s a more affordable option and incorporates my set up essentially in 1 controller. I think it’s approx $1500.
Beautifully produced content, brother. Subscribed! Side note - I just inherited a pair of 1200’s from a friend, but I’m really digging those Rane 12’s! How do you like them?
Much appreciated man 🙏🏾 Ahh, I’d love a pair 1200’s just to add to the stash and use from time to time! I really love the Rane’s tho. Platters feel grab, the motorization is great, really durable. No complaints at all so far for me!
Great vid, new sub! I'd like to see some professional DJs using entry equipment tho like an iPad/Hercules Starlight/DJay...something portable and more affordable...beginners can't afford Rane with moving platters 😆 Dope vid tho!
Appreciate the comment and the sub G! And yeah I feel you 100% - I’m trying to figure out how I can get my hands on controllers just for a short period of time to make videos and send them back. Idk about the iPad tho 😂, that’s a little rough.
I have a great problem with my serato DJ pro,How you can help me please?...It plays the BPM so fast by example ...if I play with 98 it goes down 95 and up 102 by itself
Wish I had that controller so I could tell you exactly how to do it. Have you figured it out already? If not, do you have a crossfader curve knob on the controller?
@@nanadjnyk cool. Honestly, all you should need to do is turn your knob all to the right which is also considered “fast” and your crossdader should no longer fade songs out, but only cut a song’s volume when you’re all the way to the left or right with the crossfader
