I like you guys. Always have. Always will. I totally respect differing opinions, but I hope for the love of God, you two didn't buy into this whitewashing, apologist propaganda that the MSM so love to do. I think most of us have seen a change in this country (and not for the better). We as Americans should respect and find unity in everyone, except when it comes to such said acts. The pet ordeal isn't even the worst issue at hand.

JD did an interview this week and said he created thevstory. A lady did post something on social media and has since come out and apologized. Springfield also wanted Hatian immigrants to come to their town because it was economically failing. The additional workforce and increased revenue is helping the town. Many business owners said they wish all their workers were so hardworking. Of course every town has issues, but the Hatian immigrants aren't the cause. Trump has also talked about sending them all back, butbthey are there legally. Several bomb threats this week as well as threats to the mayor. It's dangerous and they need to stop spreading this outright lie. I feel so bad for the people in Springfield.
We Canadians get ALL your media and news networks up here and for years now have yet to stop shaking our heads . Appreciate your factual comment - we are crossing our fingers for a positive outcome this November.
They're being threatened to stop telling the truth. They are not here legally and they are eating animals there. My daughter in law moved from there just a couple years ago and still talks to some of the people that lived close by.

@@terrence6041 Not sent there. Recruited by the city to move there and help improve their economy that was failing. They are there legally and paying taxes. Business owners say they wish they had more workers like them, very hard working.

And then you have to ask where is that money coming from? Taxpayers, you and me! No town can absorb a 40-50% influx. There can’t be that many job openings and if there was then some citizens of Springfield aren’t getting those jobs. So please, tell how it helps a small town like that?!!!
@mikedougherty2243 They've been coming over the past few years, and they didn't all show up overnight.They did come legally and did bring new money. They chose to come here.. The increase in community members filled a need they had for job openings, they weren'ttaking anyone's jobs. They enrolled kids in school. There is more money spent by more people now eating in their restaurants and using services needed to live. Some started new businesses. They filled residences and businesses that had been abandoned. They are also taxpayers, just like us. More taxpayers in town creates growth. It's basic civics. Why don't you do yourself a favor and some research.
@@Turnermama so you think an influx of 50% of a towns population by just one migrant country is all legal immigrants. And yes over the last couple of years is technically overnight. You talk as if this was a ghost town that everyone left after a gold rush. Maybe you’re the one that needs to do some “objective” research! Where did their new money come from? A war torn, one of the most impoverished parts of the world? Or from the U.S. government giving more of our money away.

You don't lose debt by creating more jobs without an economical or manufacturing base to support them. What's been proposed is a surefire way to increase debt. But, change won't happen until some very hard choices are made to help the town remain solvent. Implement a (hopefully temporary) total hiring freeze. Then, appropriate all efforts towards increasing the money stream that's going into the municipality's coffers. Then perhaps, the debt incurred will decrease.
