I seriously love everything about you. Your style, your organizational skills, your neatness... please post more organizational videos! Those are my fav. Been a subscribing for a long time now and always love your videos !
I thought of a really cool idea randomly the other day. I wanna try staining terra pots with black tea. Just brew up a super strong batch of tea and soak the pop in it. I can’t stand the awkward orange look of fresh terra cotta pots. Blech. The tea should darken it perfectly. And no chemicals or paints
Stephen Bailey That's a great idea. I have 4 grandchildren (boys) we get for the summer. They love to follow me around in the flower beds and I try to keep them busy with easy not messy crafts. We paint rocks, chalk the sidewalk , they each have watering cans, etc. I cant wait to do this. The really small pots would be great then they could maybe do thumb prints and pop in a succulent or a battery candle. Great idea. If you have more I'd really appreciate your thoughts. God bless
Love this video, I was thinking of painting some pots white and then I saw this video, explains why my succulents in a glazed pot aren’t doing so well. Look forward to more plant videos
I love this I can't believe I'm just seeing this video now! I use terracotta pots for all of my succulents I even have a huge strawberry pot that I'm going to do this on!
Thanks Christine, always love watching your videos. I love the way the pots turned out, so beautiful. I am in awe just looking at them sit on the banister out in the shade with the succulents. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love these short, fat, round pots! I was thinking of trying to find some for a while now, and then you find a whole flat of them! 😄 I really like how you made them look with the paint. I'm super excited and looking forward to more plant and potting videos! Thank you!
I love the look of white washing the pots! I also buy Behr samples in black, white and primary colors for decades. Cheaper than small craft paint bottles. We have rocks in our yard naturally! I looked for the small granite ones and put one in my paint containers. They are the heaviest for size. Even when the paint dries out some I can add a little water and shake to use it all up!
This was nice. Love the weathered effect on the pots. The pots are so cute. Thank you so much for sharing. Enjoys these type of videos..very informative and in ways so very relaxing! These type are the best! 😊
Hi Christine, my name is Sonny Murphy and was watching your video on white washing terra-cotta pots. But then I noticed the pots you were using and WOW! I have been all over the internet trying to find this style low belly pot and have had no luck. I first saw these pots in Sedona, AZ and love them. WHERE DID YOU FIND THEM PLEASE!!!!! Thanks
I love this idea for transforming terra cotta pots. An option for building on your idea is to use a non-toxic milk or chalk paint, if you intend to use the pot for growing edible herbs or vegetables.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I have lighter coloured pots and then some very dark terracotta coloured pots and I hoped there was a way to give the darker pots a lighter shade to make them match the lighter pots better and this is just perfect for what I had in mind. Thank you very much.
Hi, I look forward to using your technique! I just hope that the paint won't get all bubbled up with the humidity from the water. You didn't use a sealent, I guess it's not need it?
Such cute pots! And they turned out great! I Question…. Do you treat them with something so the finish doesn’t run in the rain? I have a set of pots with an Aztec design, and chalk finished…. They were great, u til it rained. Now the chalk finish is runny, or just altogether gone.
Your aesthetics in everything is just GOALS, literally! And I’m SOOOO excited that you’ll be doing more succulent/plant related videos! Was definitely one of the very reasons I subscribed to you 🤗🤗❤️ And it’s so awesome you’re living in my home town (I currently live in LA)! It’s nice to see familiar places you visit around Tucson. 😁
Hi. I love the look of whitewashing. I wonder, can you use any color to do this or will it look odd with colors other than white? I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything that was whitewashed in another color.
I think if you wanted the color to pop more, doing a coat of whitewash and then going over it again with a color wash might help. :) I was thinking about the same thing
The pots turned out really nice. I like toning down the orange and had never considered your technique. The cacti look beautiful and am looking forward to seeing more of them. Have been putting off watching You Tube videos for a few months hoping that there will be enough to get me through the cold weather which has hit us hard in the last week so. Loved the last video when Michael was interviewing you - it was a mini-documentary and so very enjoyable. Hope you both have a great weekend. Oh - and, would be interested to know how Michael's green glow-in-the-dark radium glass collection is coming along.
Love this. Will the paint eventually fade over time from weather if it's just white emulsion with no top coat? I want to have a go with some pots I keep outside ☺️
I watched a video where the person( pretty sure it was Planterina) put their terracotta pots in tap water and the minerals that dried left that same white cast. Just a natural alternative ☺
Those pots (with the caudron shape) at that price range are like impossible to find. Can you give your viewers any tips on what company might stock those? They are awesome
awesome! I would love if you could do a video explaining which kinds of pots you're supposed to choose for which kinds of plants. I'm a beginner, and I have no idea 😀
Love the way they turned out abd live that background music you use in the end of the video (what is it called, I would like to use it too, did you get it on a specific site?).
Just curious. Will water eventually seep to the paint and be absorbed by the plants after a long period of time? Looking to paint it more concentrated but am worried about it.
Good find on the pots, where did you find those? I might have to do a road trip to Arizona next year. Your nursery’s seem to be a tad more interesting than ours here in central Cali. All the good shops are either up north or down south, nuthin’ in the middle ☹️. I’m always watching out for your videos, look forward to all your plant videos. Your an inspiration for all the Vegans out there, unfortunately I’m not one, but I don’t mind watching those videos either ☺️. Looking forward to your future vlogs. 💜🌸🌺
There is a nursery by the name of Pistils in Oregon that sell these pots. I've been looking for ages and finally found them. They will ship them to you.

Those look SO much nicer with the orange toned down and white washed like that! Thank you for sharing!

A sage green or light blue would be pretty

f
My guess is latex
Hi!
I just recently found your channel n I’m in love. Thank you for great info and style . I’m learning from you greatly.
Awesome video. Love the clay pots. Would you happen to know style name of that particular style terra cotta pot?
those are so beautiful!
Christine!!! How do you keep your String of Perarls looking so healthy? Please help!!!
Looks great! Thanks Christine :) Love your plants
Great idea! The white washing will also cover up any salt stains etc.
I watched a video where the person( pretty sure it was Planterina) put their terracotta pots in tap water and the minerals that dried left that same white cast. Just a natural alternative ☺
So pretty I have to try
Beautiful!
so pretty
awesome idea thank you for sharing ;)
Great idea
Yay an actual easy DIY.. decorative planters can be expensive.
make an updated succulent garden tour pleaseeeee
Love!!!!
Those pots (with the caudron shape) at that price range are like impossible to find. Can you give your viewers any tips on what company might stock those? They are awesome
Will the painting of the pot better help to seal it so it lasts longer?
Yes. You could use a spray with a matte finish.
Hi love these cute basin type pots!, where did u buy them? Can't seem to find these type at all...
awesome! I would love if you could do a video explaining which kinds of pots you're supposed to choose for which kinds of plants. I'm a beginner, and I have no idea 😀
What type of paint did you used, oil or water base?
Love the way they turned out abd live that background music you use in the end of the video (what is it called, I would like to use it too, did you get it on a specific site?).

Is the paint latex?? Thanks!!
does this affect the porosity drastically?
look great 😊
Thanks for sharing. I tried it with a brush; it didn't go so well. You could also add some green to make it look like moss.
