I developed Alopecia Totalis about 9 years ago after my sister passed away. The doctors said it was the stress of her death. It took a few months, but I became completely hairless. No manscaping needed here.
I had thinning hair anyway and I have just accepted my baldness. If I could get any of my hair back it would be my eyebrows and eyelashes. You don't know what they do for you until you no longer have them.

Thank you..I'm definitely gonna give it a shot.. I never thought I would be in a situation like this.. Having no hair is something manageable and sometimes looks pretty good (for instance on you). But having no eyebrows and eyelashes is something that really really hurts. Fingers crossed for everyone who fights out there. I know how you feel. We are not alone ❤🤍👌

For those of you asking about eyelashes, do not use it on lashes. You're not suppose to get it in your eyes at all. If you use it on brows be careful not to get it in eyes.
If you want to try something for lashes, you can try Latisse. No guarantees, of course, but Latisse is designed for use on lashes where Minoxidil isn't. Latisse still requires a prescription, however, where Minoxidil is over-the-counter.

I'm SOOOOOOO glad I found your video. My 10 yo son has Alopecia and he's starting to lose his eyebrows. I think he's been handling it very well with the hair but the eyebrow lose it taking the depression to a new level. My concern may be that he's too young to use this product. What age did you start using the product? How long before you started seeing results? Any feedback you can give me would be amazing!
P.S. There is as study that came out by Dr. Valter Longo that I think you may want to look into. My son it too young to try it but you aren't. It's the fasting mimicking diet. Forget about the diet part....the results of the study are what's dope. In short, when you fast for 3 days (or mimick the fast) your body goes through Autophagy (destructions of cells...bad ones too) where you're bad cells die off and then when you begin eating again your immune system regrows with healthy cells. It's found that 20% of the time autoimmune diseases disappear. He targets more severe cases like cancer, diabetes, MS, etc. But the point is that by fasting you can possible rid your body of the cells that cause you autoimmune disease and replenish them with healthy cells.

Nevergiveup hello! I tried this for a month honestly and didn’t see any results, my eyebrows were falling off everyday and I just ended up getting them microbladed. Maybe I didn’t use the product long enough but it just depends on the person.
Yea bro there are thousands of people who can't grow beards( including myself) that use minoxidil and grow full grown permanent beards. It literally works.You should use it for a beard then u'll have the crispy bald head beard look👍 and your eyebrows look like they are in good shape bruh. Peace.

Update... I’ve been using rogaine for about 9 months and have seen a little growth. But I have added magnesium oil to my routine and am getting better results.

Im a little late man but I’ve had alopecia since I was 5 and I was blessed enough to have my full set of hair back but in the last few years my eyebrows have been falling off and thanks to you I feel like I have hope 🙏

Cheers this video really helped alot, i have only had alopecia for less then a year, before that i had long thick healthy hair almost to my shoulders then started coming out in handfuls. This is the first video ive braved up to watch and had me an tears the whole time yet comforting hearing someone else that has this and how they cope.
Are your eye lashes real? I have lost EVERYTHING bar a patchy beard (eye brows and lashes, pubic, arms, legs, allthe fine hairs too, even toes let alone completely bald haed) just before I turned 31, i have only just been to see a dermatologist after 9 months of waiting (due to covid) and was ignored by every thing I said because its what I have learned on youtube and google even the 2 hour lecture I watch from one of the worlds top dermatologist.....
And i have just been diagnosed with alopecia areata because I have some facial hair left.. then she referred be to a website that the hospital use and "safer source of information" and it relays everything I had told her but in sort.
Two of my cousins have alopecia. It is clear that you have learned so much having it! Hair does not make us good people, struggle does! It's good that you can show your vulnerability here. Thank you so much for sharing, we understand the struggles and what alopecia (hair loss) does to a young person’s self-esteem especially when you also lose your eye brows and some lose their eyelashes too. The negative comments and 👀 you get from others can be heart breaking. We have tried numerous products on our child. I will give this a try too. Fingers crossed. 20 year old dude here. Been bald since I was 6, lost my eyebrows end of 8th grade. They grew back over summer while practicing for highschool football. I'm a sophomore in college, my left brow has started to disappear again though around this time last year. It feels cool to see someone in a very similar situation to my own. For the last 14 years I was the only kid I knew who went bald as young as myself, but luckily there were 2 others with the autoimmune disease at my grade and high schools. Though they were about 4 and 6 years older than me respectively. Just cool to know theres more people out there going through the same struggles. Also you're handsome as hell and I'm an uggo lol

Thank you so much for this. You're right. There is no video on people with alopecia areata that are missing eyebrows. Recently, I have been losing only one of my eyebrows is thinning out. I started my first steroids injection. Hopefully, with this rogaine, it will make it grow faster. 🙏🏻 I, too, have prayed and cried over mine to grow.

Thank you for this, i havent had eyebrows for 2 years now, tried a lot of topical treatments and they havent worked, I was about to give up! It gets so tiring filling in my eyebrows everyday 🙄 ill definitely have to try this out. Lost half an eye lash to and it wont grow back 😔

I don't understand. I've been suffering with this for years and having to constantly get steroid shots in my brows to keep them. My dermatologist told me that rogaine would NOT work at all because it's used to cure male pattern baldness which is different to alopecia. I'm really confused now. I don't care about the head. I just wanna keep my eyebrows...
bartdude82 May I ask your experience with the steroids. My little boy who is 9 just got diagnosed with Alopecia. His hair on his head and brows is falling out. I’m scared to put him on an oral corticosteroid because I have read all kinds of different side effects from corticosteroids

I don’t mean to sound rude, but something seems a little off here. If that works for your eyebrows, why wouldn’t you use it on your head? Plus, as others have said, you have eye lashes. Somethings not adding up here. Help me understand.

I've had alopecia for at least 3 years now. It does suck not having full brows. I do wear wigs, but eyebrows really frame your face. I brought the eyelash serum, which does work for my lashes, unfortunately it doesnt work so well on the brows. So thanks to you, I'm buying some rogaine tonight. You should try straight minoxidil and they mean use it for up to a year when hair falls out its probably the shedding process

I have some eyebrow hairs but they are really transparent and especially on the ends of it, it looks like I have 1/3rd of a brow... Will this help? can I actually get a full brow from using this?
You should check you theroid ,My eyebrows start to fall from the last 1/3part,and I found out that I have hypothyroïdism ,and lack of iron, even I took the medication and fix it,my eyebrows fall down ,now I have only sme few hair ,Im using minoxidil and Im starting to see some few regrowth hair again

@Romanian Nationalist it will work for any hair growth people use it for facial hair too it's work for me on all 3 areas. Liquid form is better you can get it off eBay for cheaper just search minoxidil 5%

Hey thanks for this video I have alopecia Areata I think that's how u spell it 😉 I started losing my hair when I was about maybe 9-10 years old and it messed my life up bad it was hard for a young girl to go threw something like that from going to school having lots of friends to people who just loved making fun of u it sucked., the doc told me I would never grow my hair back i have almost all my hair now I don't no how but one day I started wearing wigs and I got so done with watching my hair fall out I didn't wash my head for like 1 week at a time and my hair started growing back. And it kept getting longer and longer and now all I'm missing is a couples patch in the very front of my head thank u for all this much love from me

I went to the dermatologist yesterday and he said he couldn’t do anything for me; I expected he would say that . 🤷🏻♀️ Gotta keep moving forward until there is a cure.

I don't understand.. Alopecia comes from the immunesystem being overactive. So how does that thing work?
For many, Minoxidil won't work. It depends on the person and their unique alopecia situation. Not all forms of alopecia stem from an overactive immune system. Some forms respond to Minoxidil and some forms don't. Only a doctor can determine the specific form. I've tried Minoxidil in the past and the only thing it did for me was give a rash without any extra hair growth, when used as directed. I had to stop using it to get rid of the rash. Who wants to live with a rash constantly? I'm happy it works for this young man, but it won't necessarily work for everyone.

You should try microneedling/dermarolling them with the minoxidil if you want eyebrows like rock lee from naruto. Just had an eyebrow shaping accident which i'm using the combo to recover from lol

That doesn't really work, thank you for sharing but other people have different versions of this, you are very lucky you are a handsome guy and flooded with those type of comments, but most people aren't. The best thing to do is to take oral minoxidil tablets that's one of the only ways to deal with it, even then one day it will just go away even with injections to the scalp

@@RaviNayak_ Unfortunately, I haven’t had any improvement yet. I ended up buying the rogaine, but I haven’t been consistent with it even though I do put it on the majority of the time. I had been putting the rogaine on my goatee and I saw improvement in that though lmao. Only thing I’m able to do is find acceptance with it. It makes it tough looking in the mirror and always realizing that I don’t have my eyebrows anymore, but it is what it is for now.
