A friend of mine who is/ was a chef passed away a week ago. He is of Chinese descent and he taught me a lot about food when we worked together as chefs. Oddly these videos which I watched on PBS when they came out began appearing in my UA-cam stream. Now I tend to tear up at the closing credits when I watch the show because the quirky music reminds of my friend. Rest in peace James. You will forever be missed.
I was married to a Korean man for 5 years and we had a whole refrigerator full of fermented food. Kimchi, garlic, radish, all types of hot peppers. Omg. So I’m middle eastern American and love eating new things. I still have a refrigerator full of fermented food. I just bought a bunch of your noodles on Amazon I’m excited to try them.
I find it interesting that he wanted Korean-Mexican to be the next big thing. He failed but Roy Choi did it with Korean tacos and Kogi truck, and it blew up and it became the next hackneyed food trend.

I don’t know where David Chang has been all my life, but man… I’m so glad I found him! This show is tops!
Enjoyed. Missing Anthony Bourdain….
Everybody who knows, feels the same.

PBS is wild sometimes, dude just dropped a slur and they just kept going
Where is the white kimchi recipe?
Actually the white is sweet. I’ve always ate it. The bitter is between the white and orange.
Korean -Mexican did take over the world. Roy Choi, Koge. One of Dave's close friend , don't know why he's hating

Dude is so insecure
That is a painful death
Roy already did it Chang you hack
David Chang's Ssam Bar opened in 2006 while Roy Choi's Kogi Food Truck first appeared in 2008.
He's Mexican!
This guy's arrogance and condescension is subtle, yet massive
Yes lol
Bourdain liked him and he was friends with him. You know nothing about him. I'll go with Bourdain's opinion over your baseless one any day.
lol, you've never worked in the back of the house. I saw much worse as a kid and I was working in terrible small places.
