Lindo trabalho.. tive exatamente um desses da empresa de brinquedos Bandeirantes :) o meu era vermelho com rodas brancas dos bombeiros, com uma luz vermelha imitando um girolex em cima do capô.... um grande abraço e parabéns pelo serviço.. trouxe boas lembranças... :)
Fernando, tive também um Jeep desses do exército nos anos 70, que bom ver que é um canal BR pela caixa dos Correios, Tramontina e Burigotto...

Eu tive um desse vermelho.
And yet here I was crying with each and every disappearing strip of that beautiful patina. Could have easily left the main body as is with maybe just a little protection applied to preserve it. Tomatoe/tomato

There is something very special and delightful seeing things restored. When a kid receives something so special he/she will remember it when they are old and grey hairef.

This is without a doubt one of my favorites. Being a veteran and a huge fan of the old Willys Jeep.

Brings back memories of my Jeep in the 50's, made by a UK toy company called Triang. Great restoration of one of the timeless toys of yesteryear, well done on saving it from the scrap heap.

I had Triang Trains when I was a boy. I never knew they made larger toy's such as this Jeep.
Yep they made tractors as well. An amazing toy company especially when my Aunt worked for them!

Grew up in the birthplace of Willys Jeep so this has a special place in my heart, if you don't know someone in Toledo who works for Jeep then you are not from Toledo lol.

Wonderful restoration. My brother had one of these, but his was bright red. Too bad, it is no longer with us. You do awesome work.
I painted on rust converter on some rusty fender from a 1929 Pontiac, to help them from getting any worse. When I got to them, the converter turned so hard I couldn't sand through them. Good Job.

Wonderful! My grandpa and uncle customized a fire truck pedal car for me in about 1968. Grass Lake VFD all the way! I really enjoyed peddling around in it!

Thats a top job. Wish I was 7 years old again. Always wanted a WW2 US Willy's jeep even now at 67 years old. Very nice job well done.

My brother had one like this. I think the mid 60s. He also had all the GI Joe dolls too.

I LOVED This ! Good Job !!! The only thing I would have done differently is I would have replaced the headlight glass with new instead of painting them yellow.

omg i remember my cousin had one I wud sometimes pedal around in when we went to his place. i was very very young and really wanted one for myself but we did not have the means. still was very cool to ride in the one of my cousin abt once every year when we went to visit. so many childhood memories.

I had a similar Jeep in the 1950's, but the body was aluminum and the wheels were solid.
