Same, difference was $300 Australian at current discounted pricing here, so seemed a no brainer. Unreal sound out of the box, even on "not true" atmos Netflix, but I guess it comes down to what you expect / have heard. I'm very happy!
on my jbl bar, the voices seem to have no bass. I've already tried the equalizer and also turning off the smart voice function. What can I do about it?
I wonder about total number of cycles (battery char/discharge) of the batteries in the speakers. I doubt that JBL reports that number but I wonder for how long those batteries will hold their nominal capacity. 10 years of normal daily use? 5 Years? 3?
Are you sure about the 4k@120Hz? I read about that in some reviews that this bar has some trouble doing 120Hz passthrought 4K. Can you do some review with a Xbox Series X or PS5? Great video by the way.
Using HDMI passthrough on this soundbar My PS5 detected 120hz and I was able to set 120fps mode in fortnite without any issues Additional info: Using Sony X90L and provided PS5 2.1 HDMI cable. Connected sound bar to 2.1 eARC port on TV . Connected PS5 to HDMI port #1 on soundbar
I have a question, if you leave the detachable speakers in the soundbar, do they still output sound when connected to the main unit while charging or do they only work when detached?
They work while attached as well. I just got this last night and I am beyond impressed. After spending 1k on this system I had buyers remorse as it was in transit to my home and then I hooked it up. This thing is absolutely amazing and brilliantly thought out.
I have a question. Can I mount this on a wall? if so when I attach the side speaker is the magnet strong enough to hold them in place or they need to be laying in a flat surface?, Great video! Thanks!
The rear speakers are not loud enough. On low mid or loud. The only way I got them to be loud enough is during the calibration process put the speakers like 5 feet away for cal 1 then place them far away for calibration 2. It works great now and I actually have the rear set on low to mid .
Hello, can you explain what you're talking about? I'm thinking of buying this soundbar, but I've heard several comments saying that these rear speakers aren't loud enough. I found this kind of problem strange for JBL equipment and products (precisely because the brand is famous for its robust, powerful sound). But did you manage to solve the problem? Do your speakers have good volume now?
can someone help me? I'm thinking about buying a jbl 1300, is it good for music? I have the option to buy a Yamaha stereo amplifier and column speakers, which will be more powerful? JBL or Yamaha amplifier and speaker?
@@marc_nificent90 thats literally the entire point of the product to be wireless. Buy a wired sound system if you want permanent rear speakers. Btw it takes like 5 seconds to move them really not a big deal.
If you love sparkles like tweeter sound go for JBL it's has bright sound than Sony. Also bass is more deeper. I tried both A5000 plus subwoofer along with JBL, but JBL won even if sony claims 360 degree audio.
Can this be wired to a projector? Specifically, 1) Plug in a Fire TV 4K/Apple TV into the Soundbar. 2) Take the Video from the HDMI out to the projector Will the above work? I'm interested to buy this, but am unsure if this will work.
The only problem is the battery life. Once those batteries die you can't replace them and the warranty will have run out, so you are forced to keep them plugged in for use. That is a major problem.
@@YoD85 absolutely, if you search there's a guy that pulls his apart on YT and it's a typical green cylinder battery which I'm sure you can buy out of China.

Fantastic review - great stuff thank you, going to get either the JBL 1000 or the Yamaha True X Bar 50A. I just wanted to ask where did you get the low profile white gloss cabinet from, i really like it and looking for something exactly like that in white too!
Great review...thanks...i have a question pls. I heard someone say that if your tv has ARC but no ATMOS sound, the rear speakers will have no sound! Is that so? And if you do have sound, will it be in atmos effect? Thanks
@@WhatGear So basically my tv has ARC but no atmos but i have the full NETFIX bundle that transmits Atmos if you tv supports it, will i have Atmos coming out of the soundbar if NEXFLIX is transmitting Atmos although my tv does not support it? If not, is it worth buying the soundbar jbl 1000 if your tv does not have Atmos?
Arc, unlike e-arc which can pass through Dolby true HD. Arc can only pass through Dolby Atmos, but a lossy dolby atmos version (not lossless) not that it's going to make much difference to a non Dolby Atmos pass through TV. A non Dolby Atmos pass through TV can only pass through Dolby digital plus and best. Even though it's not 'object based audio', don't let it put you off coz it's not a huge difference, especially to a novice.
True the surround sound is very low but it's about the soundbar not arc,I used the bar 9.1 on same tv the surround effects were superb but now 1300 there's very small or no sound
@@WhatGear Yes sir. Same with the JBL Bar 1300 & Samsung Q990C. If you test the HDMI pass through with Next Gen consoles like the XBox Series X and PS5, it would only output 4k 60 but not 4k 120. The only soundbar that I’m aware of that has HDMI 2.1 passthrough is the Sony HT-A7000.

What an innovative product it is. It ticks all the boxes. Quality stuff brother✌️
How does this compare to the LG S9QY with adding 140 Watt LG Rear Speakers (SPQ8-S)?

They produce sound.
Can it be mounted above the tv?
What's holding me back is the tweeters are wireless battery operated and you can't keep them disconnected permanently
You can buy you would need to run USB C cables to them.
@WhatGear who wants to consistently charge them up or plug them in permanently to kill the battery life in due time that's not well planned out
