My interpretation of the video, which could be WAY OFF: A metaphor of his life It starts with Ronnie being crowned. This could represent him feeling he’s really made it when he was performing with Escape the Fate. Then when Ronnie is just being his genuine, expressive, yet younger radical self, he gets into some trouble and stands before the court which is the room of black coats when he is shirtless in this video. In the video, He is then found guilty and thrust against the cross feeling the weight of his guilt, shame, sorrow, and grief. He dies which can represent captivity in prison. In there, he wrestles with his internal dialogue of leaning toward good or evil. This is the white and black angels in the video. He chooses to reject the ideologies that dictate good and evil and just be his best self. In the video that is when he blows all the angels away. After being released from prison, he had nothing, this is him resurrected wandering in the desert in the video. He finds the cave and suit of black armor. This is him starting Falling in Reverse and becoming the Popular Monster.
Yeah personally I'm guessing that's not how it was written. But that is a really cool interpretation of it. I mean i guess it would make sense though considering the song is called "prequel", as the prequel to his fir career.
I love what you said, great reaction. That's one thing I love about Ronnie. He's very open and honest. He admits his faults and wants to be better. Just like the rest of us should.
Just like the name of the band, the videos were released in reverse, if you start with prequel, then Ronald, then watch the world burn, they tell one continuous story. Ronnie is a master of underlying tones, and double meanings, on top of great lyrics, amazing vocals, and extraordinary cinematography, plus the band is heckin good too! The suit at the end of this the same one he is wearing in the other 2 videos. I would actually prefer longer reactions from you, most people just rant and waffle, you actually seem to get it, you break everything down well and appreciate it.
I find it funny that while hes being honest about his mistakes and who he is ,people here feel the need to defend him thats hilarious his honesty is refreshing😊😊😅😊👇👇👇👇
First video of you I've seen and I already freaking love you. The amount of reactions that I've seen that haven't even acknowledged the clear diss to Escape The Fate for ditching him due to the jail stuff... its unbelievable. I got it on my first ever listen but reacters haven't got it after numerous listens. Also I think you need a "LIKE" counter. You said like way too many times in just 30 seconds 😂
@Валерий-е5ы3г dude, they didn't. I saw a lot of reaction videos at the time of release and nobody commented on it.. Not everyone listening to the song/band or newer fans are even aware of his history and havent gone back.. so..
Ronnie has Epitaph Records deduct money from his share of the revenue to help fund these videos. He says he doesn't need a new car. He'd rather make good videos for the fans. ❤
This song instantly became one of my favorites off the album. It is so good, and the final part with the angels is legitimately just peak falling in reverse. Watch the world burn is still probably my #1 but prequel is top 3 for sure.
DANG, Ray!!! this song must have really fired your neurons...I've never seen you engage this deep with the material!!! don't get me wrong I LOVE all your reacts...but this one went deeeeeeeeeeeeep, thank you!!!
the reencarnation that needed to reborn to suit it up and go back to change his reputation. Ronnie is simply ART. people who say crap about him they do because of the hate... i dare not even 1 from those could write and create such an interesting way of music.
You were right on point about how Ronnie owns his past and his faults. I don’t mind the length of the video because you have great points to make. Some other reactors get way off topic and then I get bored.
So I REALLY recommend diving into some of Ronnie's past personal life, especially his legal situations. Everyone. It'll open your eyes to a LOT more of the meaning behind his videos and songs. Respect for basically agreeing with the whole, "My hands aren't clean so I'm not pointing fingers. I am what I am. Best thing I can do is own it." There are a LOT of things said about him that are blatantly not true. Like, pretty serious accusations lol Definitely will give you more respect and appreciation for him as a person and for his music. Also, love seeing people nerd out for their videos the way I do lmao Also also, the videos from the new album are meant to be watched in a sequence. They tie in together. You're welcome :)
I like how the angels look just as creepy as the demons and he just blows them all off. Thing is, we gotta find our own way. We are all cynical, egoistical and hypocritical. Most just live the illusion that they are or became better than others by following orders. You have to get disillusioned, be "abandoned by the gods", before you can live by your own rules (despite knowing it won't end well, it rarely does).
_Prequel_ was my introduction to Falling in Reverse, and upon first listen... I wasn't sure I liked it for whatever reason. Probably because I was expecting metal and he was rapping, which isn't an issue, loved DMX during the 2000s! As well as the fact it was cinematic/orchestral and not metal, which again, I love that powerful cinematic style music, I just wasn't expecting ANY of this... 😅 Then I watched Aileen's reaction, and now yours, and with each subsequent listen I'm liked it more and more. Second listen, and I was already liking it, as I dropped my expectations/preconceptions. Third listen, and now I'm *_appreciating_* it, both visually and lyrically, but _especially_ the latter! They're powerful lyrics and he's really calling out our society, but also personally for him. In between first and second listen I took in some Shorts that shed light on Ronnie, which is what really helped me to understand and appreciate the song, as well as the visuals. Now, when he gets crucified and belts out those lyrics, I honestly get choked up! As someone who suffers from his own shit in life, I recognize that part comes from a place of real pain for him... and I empathize. To me, it conveys a breaking point for him. Everything before that was how everyone is acting towards, and taking about him. He reached as point where he could either give into his struggle and lash out (the dark/evil), or, ignore them and be righteous (the light/good)... He opted for a bit of both, staying in the middle and be himself, neither good nor bad. But yea, the one thing I noticed was the part where he walking with the group behind him. He stops, turns, and sees they're mimicking him. I took that as a jab at "sheeple", blindly following their idols and will do whatever their idol wants, becoming puppets. Which is not what he wants for people to do with him. (I could be _way_ off base though 🤷♂️)
I also think this song and video *_deserves_* a followup "unpacking" video, after you've listened/watched it a few more times and are able to process it all. Just my 2¢ 😁
The dopest music videos belongs to Rammstein last album, BUT, Ronnie follows their steps with his own style. Actually, I'm not sure if the red light from the sky is a reference to Rammstein but I think it's posible.
Basically, for the prison story, he's the one who was charged with murder because “brass knuckles” are banned in the state, whereas the guy died from a pistol shot.
No. He was charged with violating his probation because he had brass knuckles on him at the fight. He didn't get charged for the fight. The guy who was involved got off on self-defense. After his probation violation he left state to perform with ETF and got violated again. There's a failed drug test in there somewhere too. That's when he went to prison.
you missed the rattle snake sound and also something few people have pointed out is the eyes clearing up of the the man and the woman like ronnie is lifting the veil from their eyes
Noticed the Butterflies when he was pinned to the cross. I've noticed that with a few other bands recently. The butterfly represents change/renewal. It's just strange more and more groups starting to use butterflies on there music videos like they are telling us something?. Or why use butterflies then?.
_"[Force] Wielder? The Jedi and Sith wield the Ashla and the Bogan, the light and the dark. I'm the one in the middle, the __-Bendu-__ Ronnie."_ An amazing line from the _Rebels_ animated series, said by an ancient creature they come across on a planet. When the character he's speaking to (Kanan) first stumbled across him and Kanan asked what how name was, the creature said "Bendu". However, it's my personal opinion (which I haven't seen shared elsewhere), that Bendu isn't really his name, based on that quote above, as he says "I am the one in the middle, THE Bendu", not "I am Bendu"... To me, that was a subtle hint that he was a "Grey" force wielder, something the franchise hadn't recognized post-Disney's acquisition. All this is too say, I think Ronnie is implying he's neither good nor bad, but "chaotic good" - willing to do/say what's necessary for the good of everyone, even if what he does/says isn't what people like.... Ronnie is definitely Grey in that sense. All this is to say, I agree with your Star Wars assessment, as I saw similar, _and more!_ 😋 Or... he just might be paying homage to the typical Angels and Demons art, where both sides tug at a chosen one. 🤷♂️😅
the ear tags being on pregnant women is both apropos and incredibly depressing. it's like the big organized stadium is the cleaned up face of society but the dark place where he finds those women is the terrible hidden realities of what is happening to many people
Ronnie has come from a history and changed into someone better for himself. All his music is for himself showing his struggles and the hatred from those that don't understand him, but bully him. Ronnie has opened my eyes musically with his love of how he creates his songs and those music videos. He always has meaning in them with those small eggs being planted. Like the black crown disappearing and developing as his tattoo on his forehead.
He went to prison! Prison is not jail. Jail is a vacation/sleepover. Yeah, things have happened within his life, but he owns it. And to the person that says he is not a hardened criminal, really doesn't know what happens in there. Ronnie speaks truth and doesn't sugar coat things. Speaks on personal experiences.
He went to prison because he was standing next to him when his friend hit another guy with brass knuckles (this guy himself called them to a fight) and he died in the hospital.
The MOZART of our generation. Ronnie has insane vocal range, he’s also maxed the duk out in creativity. And just as important his LYRICISM is approaching/ rivaling EM. also wanted to add. Or just violating probation. After an assault charge where he brought illegal brass knuckles to a fight. Where his "partner" killed a guy, but was ruled as self defense. So Ronnie had 5 years probation which he violated and got sent to prison for 2.5 years.. Calm down sailor.

it is the Prequel to everything he started with the Escape The Fate line which was his first band some of the music is from Popular music some vocals from Im not a vampire(operatic) the choirs in the background as well some scenes from Drugs and losing my mind songs ideas from zombified and Voice in my Head the suit from the last 2 videos and part of Voices in my head as well the cadences from several of his songs as well so it all ties together his whole artistic life is in this he is genius even things like all the hate he gets online from regular people and also from other artists he didnt hold anything back at all . I like your reaction to this alot
@@pearpiece97 really? what are you an English teacher? I was just trying to pass on some information and wasnt worried about being proper with the way I wrote it I still conveyed what I wanted to didnt i. No one needs or asked for you to have to correct me and try to ruin my day my dude.
@@willeymiller4760whether you like it or not the English language requires punctuation for our brains to process sentences one at a time. You can spew all the information you want, but if our brains struggle to read/comprehend it, you may as well have said nothing at all.
This is the ‘Prequel’ to everything he started with the ‘Escape the fate’ line, which was his first band. Some of the music is from popular music, (Did he mean Popular Monster?) some of the vocals from ‘I’m not a monster’ operatic; some of the choirs in the background as well. Some scenes from ‘drugs’ and ‘losing my mind’. Song ideas from ‘zombified’ and ‘voices in my head.’ He also reused the suit from the last two videos, and part of ‘voices in my head’ as well. The cadences are a nod to several of his previously released songs, so it ties together his artistic life. He’s a genius even through all the online hate he receives from normies and even other artists. He didn’t hold back at all!
He isn't really a hardened criminal, he went to prison for carrying knuckle dusters (and I think not turning up to court for something) in a fight where some one got shot, he was not the shooter or aware the person even had a gun. The other two charges for *ape and domestic violence were all thrown out for no evidence he even counter sued. So he's not a harden criminal! - even the incident with the mike stand was an accident and all is good between him and the fan that was injured.
I respectfully disagree about him not being a hardened criminal. I got a fun fact for you bro, most people that go to prison aren't violent, but they are made to be due to the mental and physical abuse of the inside of the prisons. I've done three years in prison, and just 2 months of being in prison was enough to break me and cause me to be "hardened" to be able to survive the rest of it. So when Ronnie says that, it does not mean that he's done crazy crimes, but that it hardened him.
He went to prison NOT for carrying knuckle dusters in a fight, but for PARTICIPATING in the fight, which was aggravated by the use of knuckle dusters. I know that it's in the past, and he is a different person today, but don't cover up what really happened.
@@christianrobey1723 I understand, I think I was just looking to high level and not considering things that happen to you when you have been to prison. Glad for the clarification.
If you're worried about (from your perspective) blathering on too long during a pause, move those to after the video. You seem to record the intro after the reaction, so if you then edit your reaction to move long-winded exposition to the end and add to your intro with a statement that you've done so, the real fans will watch the reaction and then the breakdown. Food for thought.
Ronnie went to prison because he and a few others went and fought other people out in the desert of Nevada. One of Ronnie’s guys shot and killed someone. Ronnie DID NOT kill anyone unlike what people like to spread misinformation about and was found guilty of battery with substantial bodily harm and to owning brass knuckles which are illegal in Nevada. He was put on 5 years probation but then violated the terms of probation and went to prison for 2 and 1/2 years because of that. But he turned himself around and is where he is now. I really respect him for being able to turn himself around and get sober after all that.

I like your reaction to this alot
Punctuation, my dude.
Mike stand
Yeah let's see you do a DAY in prison. Trying to pick apart the lyrics for "lies" is nerd ass behavior.
@@christianrobey1723 I understand, I think I was just looking to high level and not considering things that happen to you when you have been to prison. Glad for the clarification.
Reac hanumankind
Its a biblecul
If you're worried about (from your perspective) blathering on too long during a pause, move those to after the video. You seem to record the intro after the reaction, so if you then edit your reaction to move long-winded exposition to the end and add to your intro with a statement that you've done so, the real fans will watch the reaction and then the breakdown.
Food for thought.
How cows are tagged and how people got vaxxed.
You are very pretty but you talk a lot in the sense that you first watch the video and then you give your opinion.
PNW?

Ronnie went to prison because he and a few others went and fought other people out in the desert of Nevada. One of Ronnie’s guys shot and killed someone. Ronnie DID NOT kill anyone unlike what people like to spread misinformation about and was found guilty of battery with substantial bodily harm and to owning brass knuckles which are illegal in Nevada. He was put on 5 years probation but then violated the terms of probation and went to prison for 2 and 1/2 years because of that. But he turned himself around and is where he is now. I really respect him for being able to turn himself around and get sober after all that.
You should've spoken more! 😊
Ya definitely not, bros adhd is driving me crazy and I have crazy adhd I’m vibing with her and the. Bllanananana with her mouth over and over again 😂😂😂
