Madison’s hits and serves are soooooo powerful she’s amazing. If she got the unforced error count lower, she’d be almost unstoppable

It seems that Madison Keys has finally found the sweet spot between power and consistency. Blasting everything worked fine as long as she was on, but if she was the slightest bit off against those who were fast enough and could counterpunch, like Kerber and Halep, she was usually dead meat. I think her former coach, Lindsey Davenport, looked at Madison as a faster version of herself and so had Madison hit out on every ball like Lindsey used to do, but maybe there is only one Lindsey Davenport, who routinely blasted everything so effortlessly and consistently.
It's not as if Madison couldn't hit a ball with less pace and more spin before, but it only seemed that she would do it when her "A" game wasn't working. Now, it looks like she's incorporated it into her strategy, that she's found out that hitting a deep ball 90% as hard and giving it a bit more shape is almost as effective but a lot more consistent, and she can still bring out the power when she needs it. If she can stay healthy and keep up her form, she can beat anyone, including Osaka when Naomi is playing well.

Not doubt about it, her game is tailor-made for clay. It gives her a lot of chances to hit the big forehand. Halep, Muguruza and others would have to keep an eye on her as a threat at Roland Garros.

Great match from both players. Keyes definitely deserving of a win after all the hard work and effort, now finally reaping her just reward!!!!
Would be a great investment to add some variation to her strokeplay and bring someone like Hingis on her team to take it to another level. Even a limited input over a short while will make a huge difference. Believing in herself also means that you always believe "I can be better than that" and take the steps to make it happen.
A positive mindset will ensure that her name will be written on the courts of many of the major tournaments!!!!

At 4:50, Caroline would still have her racket on that ball. I disagree with the female commentator. Caroline was en route to meeting the ball a few feet behind the baseline and the trajectory of the ball wasn't that angled. The commentator also forgot the fact that Caroline is very quick, too.

Where is the ladirs rank No. 1, Naomi Osaka? The on ewho fired the coach who made her rank No. 1 and let her win Australian Open, and US Open with such a short period of time? She must have imagined that herself did achieve the feat without the fired coach! I will watch her closely if she will ever return to her glory soon. What a girl without the sencsee of gratitude toward her coach.
