I misread the title as "Twisted but it's just Nick Cage" and I spent a whole minute trying to figure out where Nicholas Cage was in Twisted before i clicked on the video.
Nick Cage needs to be in more shows. I know he did the music for 'Holy Musical B@man!' (which is awesome) and was in the band for 'Firebringer' (which is ALSO awesome), but I wanna see him PHYSICALLY in a show again. He's just so great and talented and funny! And his performances in 'Twisted' show it all perfectly!
Sophie Don't you mean the Blue Wish Granting Shapeshifting Really Funny Djinn of the Lamp? He's my favourite character in the musical too. *LOL ROFL* 😂😂😂
I genuinely lose my shit at the Sultan talking about how he pushed in his penis every single time I watch that scene. The buildup? Perfect. The voice? Perfect. The mannerisms? Perfect. Nick Gage? Perfect. It's gotten to the point where I start hysterically laughing the moment he speaks because I know what's coming
Whenever he’s imitating the characters voices from the original movie it’s literally so amazing. Then baker from Beaty and the Beast and the thief from Aladdin sound just like their originals and it’s sooo amazing 😂 The thief scene is incredibly underrated
I effing love Nick Gage!! He's so funny as all his roles! He does a wonderful Scar impurresion(couldn't resist the pun lmao), his Sultan lines put me in stitches every time, and he's amazing as the Genie! He's just too amazing at acting! Thank you for doing a video about his epic roles in Twisted!
I’m almost certain the movie references that he says when he’s genie is completely improvised, they told him to just make as many movie references as he can
Ok, I'm a musical and pro wrestling fan. This got recommended while I watched Nick Gage, the wrestler who died, robbed a bank without a mask, and asked what a Squirtle was, in that order. For him to share the name of the musical actor who gave a monologue about pushing his finger in his junk... ...I don't know which one to feel bad for!
There's something amusing with how he switches from the goofy high pitched Sultan voice, to the smooth and melodic Scar voice, to whatever the fuck is going on with the Djinn, in the span of like 3 scenes (yes you can make that argument with like half the cast but whatever).
Twisted was the second StarKid show I ever saw (the first was AVPM) and on my first watch, I legit thought he was Tyler Brunsman with a fake moustache on.
spoilers in case you haven't seen the full show yet. the fact that The Sultan's story is actually a key plot point never ceases to both make me laugh & baffled at the same time
I thought the name Nick Gage was familiar, and it was, it's the name of a Pro Wrestler who specializes in hardcore/death matches I've watched a few matches of
Wade Winston Wilson AKA Deadpool Merc with the Mouth: The Blue Really Funny Shapeshifting Wish Granting Djinn of the Lamp is like the Best character in the "Twisted the Untold Story of a Royal Vizier" show *HANDS DOWN* saying all those bits of movie quote dialogue lines instead speaking like normal like the Princess, or Aladdin or even Ja'far himself. Nick Gage you funny b*stard!
Is it weird that this kind of explains the whole musical?
Somehow no.
why are people dying in the streets, why is the kingdom plagued by theft, why am I not a cat?
I kinda wondering why Joey wasnt in this
mARIE. THE BAGUETTES. HURRY UP.
Doesn’t art like this belong in a museum
Nick Gage is the Joey Richter of Twisted.
Oh my God
YOU'RE RIGHT
Genius
Damn. You right.
I misread the title as "Twisted but it's just Nick Cage" and I spent a whole minute trying to figure out where Nicholas Cage was in Twisted before i clicked on the video.
If it makes you feel any better i only realized it because of this coment
I didn't realize until your comment. I watched the whole video convinced that it was Nick cage.
bro same, but it was even more confusing because he *looks* like nick cage
This really makes me want a Nick Gage/Jeff Blim collaboration. Just imagine if the Jinn/Aladin conversation had happened on stage.

He was also in National Treasure!

The Sultan’s pause never fails to make me hysterical
The best kind of content
I had no idea one guy played ALL THESE CHARACTERS I’ve seen this show like three times?! He’s amazing
Between Joe as achmed and Nick as the sultan, the voices in this are better than the live action
And Dylan as jafar
Sugar dates
Sugar dates and peas
Sugar dates and pistachioooooooos
idk why i love this line so much
This triggers my fight or flight response and I can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Oh, it's both.
The way he communicates/looks at the audience when he’s the genie is EVERYTHING
The Genie is quite possibly my favourite ever starkid character
Sophie
Don't you mean the Blue Wish Granting Shapeshifting Really Funny Djinn of the Lamp? He's my favourite character in the musical too. *LOL ROFL* 😂😂😂
You’re doing dead God’s work.
No he's doing the duck's work
He had the audience in the palm of his hand as the djinn
I genuinely lose my shit at the Sultan talking about how he pushed in his penis every single time I watch that scene. The buildup? Perfect. The voice? Perfect. The mannerisms? Perfect. Nick Gage? Perfect. It's gotten to the point where I start hysterically laughing the moment he speaks because I know what's coming
The world needs more Nick Gage.
I love how the genie only talks in movie quotes
Just his little smirk when he’s quoting the movies is just what makes the performance ten times bigger, and Dylan’s reactions too
I don't understand why he hasn't been in more shows! Each of his characters is so vibrant and funny and he has such a unique look
Nick is finally getting the recognition he deserves!
Yes!
"Many years ago." Always sends me
Can we just appreciate the fact that he was the only one in Twisted who didn’t have a fake mustache?
It kills me when Dylan yells at him "CALM THE FUCK DOWN"
The thief scene might be my favourite scene in the show
Everytime he's present and acting in future shows, he can only speak in movie quotes from now on
Nick Gage does a spot on impression of Robin Williams... Holy shit lol
I JUST NOTICED WHEN THE SULTAN IS ACCUSING JAFAR ABOO TRIES BITING HIS HAND OFF
This guy is legendary.
I didn’t read the title right and went “woah they got Nic Cage to be in one of their musicals?!”
Whenever he’s imitating the characters voices from the original movie it’s literally so amazing. Then baker from Beaty and the Beast and the thief from Aladdin sound just like their originals and it’s sooo amazing 😂
The thief scene is incredibly underrated
Someone must have clicked the dislike button on accident! They probably don't know what's a dickfour.

the only character better than genie in this play was achmed
The Djinn costume gives me Teletubby vibes

Does anyone else hear Robin Williams in Nick's Djin? Like, every line he said sounded like it came straight from the mouth of our late, great hero.
He needs to be in more Starkid shows
10:10 Him breaking character and laughing at his own reference is my favorite joke in the whole musical
Can we talk about how on point that Jimmy Stewart impression is??
There's something amusing with how he switches from the goofy high pitched Sultan voice, to the smooth and melodic Scar voice, to whatever the fuck is going on with the Djinn, in the span of like 3 scenes (yes you can make that argument with like half the cast but whatever).
I love that he got to sing one of the songs he wrote at Homecoming.
Bro I didn't realize he was the sultan so that's fucking sending me but also how is his scar impression so good?? Like damn dude go off
4:03 best line/line delivery ever
THIS MAN DESERVES SO MUCH MORE RECOGNITION
Nick Gage as the Genie never fails to make me laugh
I don't understand any of the references but the djinn scene still makes me laugh so much :3
Twisted was the second StarKid show I ever saw (the first was AVPM) and on my first watch, I legit thought he was Tyler Brunsman with a fake moustache on.
Genie is one of the funniest Starkid characters ever
spoilers in case you haven't seen the full show yet.
the fact that The Sultan's story is actually a key plot point never ceases to both make me laugh & baffled at the same time
Oh wow I forgot how much I fucking adore the genie ughhhh and also as always I would die for dylan
I wish they had him in more musicals. He is hilarious!
at first i thought his name was nick cage and i was like 'NICE'
This is just a summary
of the entire musical
This video taught me that Nick was the sultan.
THAT WAS ALL HIM?? His impressions are fantastic
I LOVE this man and I need MORE
Jim and the Povolos!
Who has the audacity to dislike this
Jafar
I thought that said “Nick Cage” and I was like 👀 i don’t remember that
I am 100% sure all the genie's scenes were ad-libed, and there's nothing that no one can say to convince me otherwise
Especially the dick for joke
Dylan's reaction to it is too perfect not to be
Nick Gage has amazing range.
so many people like me, thinking you said nick cage
God how is he so versatile
They are so good that I didn't even recognize that he was the sultan too
I'm playing the Djinn in a couple weeks, can't wait to do this with an audience!
awesome! have fun!!!
the sugar dates and pistachios is so satisfying

Why wasn’t Joey in this musical?
I dunno, probably busy doing something else
Joey lived in LA at the time.
nick gage = nic cage
