Perhaps he should've been more elaborate in his initial statement, but AJ is a competitor and just like Lane Johnson earlier this year, is trying to hold the offense accountable. He wants to win a Super Bowl, and this is a Super Bowl contending roster right now, with a significant opportunity to actually snag a title THIS season. But, we need Jalen to find his way back to 2022-2023 Jalen, or even 2021 Jalen. Some of his passing numbers this year are the worst they've been since his rookie year. And that's not necessarily all on him. Some of it is scheme. Some of it is better execution by the other 10 guys on the team, including Brown himself, which he alluded to today. The passing offense is something that a lot of fans have been complaining about this year, but when an actual player acknowledges that it's been a problem, suddenly HE'S the bad guy.
It bothers me that they are 11-2 and this “veteran” is acting like a child. It’s a team game - and a vet should know that starting locker room drama only hurts your team. Seems selfish and a lack of focus on the big picture. You can be upset you aren’t getting enough targets, but a vet should know better than to take that to the media.
Jalen did play for bama after the natty. He got back against Georgia the next year and saved bama when Tua went out.
