250$ and if the will to enhance fits the bankaccount its doable with 2000-2500$ to get down the weight with 3kgs+ and up the speed as well. Wheelset, fork, brakes etc. Aliexpress do some deacent deals on good products. Not just crap.
Before anyone yells antichina at me 😂, where is 90% bikes made..? Taiwan and China. Period.
This bike fits most wallents and that is what it should be out on the market. Probikes is desirable, yes! But most of us dont have sponsors. We ride to enhanche condition and to have fun, and even to get to and from work etc. Splendid video and keep it up.

I just found your channel. My Trek 4500 is getting old and needs some TLC, I’m thinking of selling and getting an Ozark Trail. I must admit, not crazy about the color, but I could live with it.

I'll tell you, it kind of grows on you! I swapped out the chrome fasteners for black ones and with the WTB tires it really stands out.

I really want to get one of these to experiment with. Like putting on a set of 26" wheels I have laying around.. Maybe an E-Gravel Bike setup with the spare 27.5" ebike setup I have..

It would be the perfect bike for sure. Sturdy and internal cable routing

good video. Every time I see one of these videos about this bike, it makes me want to buy one even more. I have a specialized roll elite "entry-level" bike that was around eight or 900. And I'm sure it's a nicer bike, than the explorer, but at under $1000, any big brand bike still comes with entry-level crappy tourney, sunrace etc stuff. There is no way my bike is five times better than the Explorer. To my knowledge, you're the only person that has mentioned a critical consideration with this bike; which is at this price point you don't have to tiptoe around with it. People talk about how crappy Walmart bikes are, but if you think about it, who mostly are using those bikes? It's children typically. do you think they're being really careful and respectful of their bikes? No, they're throwing them down in the driveway, They're leaving them out in the rain, and they're jumping ant infested plywood ramps with them. & they last for years. and there's 10s of millions of them being rode right now. I wonder how long those 2-10k carbon bikes would last being treated that way. im looking at buying a gravel bike now, and what ppl want for used junk is insane, and forget about buying a name brand. they'll want 2-300 off the new price for a 10 yr old worn out bike. thanks again

Happy to do the videos and review of this thing. Tomorrow I'll be taking it on a 60 mile gravel ride. Stay tuned for a video of that! And if you haven't subscribed it would be cool if you could!

I absolutely love the bike. The dropbar wouldn't work for me... backaches. Went for flatbar 15° rise. The original derailleur would quickly go outta whack with indexing. Swapped it for Shimano rd-m310. $28... shifting is much better. New Vespeton tires 700x38. Today I'm going to upgrade the brake rotors.
Is that California gym in the background?
Looks like the same model as mine.

Not sure about the gym truth be told. We got it for free so... Lol. Glad your bike is riding better with little upgrades like the derailleur and tires!
