He's going "deep, deep, deep undercover" into the chic wilds of Southern California, unleashing his arsenal of blazing gunfire and rapid-fire gags against a gang of international munitions smugglers. Back, too, are Judge Reinhold and John Ashton as Murphy's crime-busting sidekicks. And Top Gun's director Tony Scott keeps the pace fast, furious and funny.
This time, Axel Foley returns after Captain Bogomil was almost assassinated during a shooting and must now investigate a series of robberies they like to call the “Alphabet Crimes”.

Billy Rosewood trying to sneak in the shack without setting the alarm,didn't work.and he and Taggert went in a panic grabbing weapons from right to left.LMAO!

This final shootout is a stark contrast from the first film. Rosewood and Taggart spent most of the shootout pin down in the first film. Here, they managed to hold their own and even managed to get the Bad guys on the run.

that 'Fuck Rambo' line was indeed personal as I believe Sly wanted to do the original BCH, but did Cobra instead, so this, and the Cobra poster in Billy's place, are subtle nods to this..
Coincidentally, Sly got to play a Beverly Hills cop in Tango and Cash (another 80s action/comedy gem) a couple of years later.

Billies limp wristed shot at the bad guys truck was the most unrealistic part of all 3 BHC's 😂😅 of course Jerry Bruckheimer produced it.

The gun play in this movie is so so bad. Dudes firing shotguns with no recoil. Billy dual welding pump action shotguns. Hell about half the shots didn't have muzzle flashes.

Terrible sequel, awful editing and far too many continuity errors to ignore. A somewhat rushed sequel because the first was a big hit. Still, it's not as insufferable as Beverley Hills Cop 3, and coming to Netflix next year is......Beverley Hills Cop 4 🙄
You know what? I have to agree with you. Tony Scott was a great action director but Paramount rushed this into production and gave Scott the job because he had just scored a hit with Top Gun. They rushed this as a summertime release for Eddie Murphy and it was a success. But you’re right. It’s inferior to the original.

"A somewhat rushed sequel" Excuse me? how is this Rushed? I seen Sequels Rushed out a Year Apart from one Another! This movie had 3 Years it might not be as good as the 1st Movie but I probably would watch this if I saw the Trilogy Today on DVD or Blu-Ray also I'll go see BEVERLY Cops 4 you Spelled it Wrong!

Yeah, but it was the 80’s. Police back then we’re not armed like they are now. Even Axle’s semi auto Browning was unheard of for law enforcement. That why Tagert made a big deal over Billy’s auto 12 gauge.
