Hello Boosan, I have joined your community website and is very informative, explained in a simple language! I have a question as below I would like to know the clear market cap distinction for large, mid and small..in some websites its mentioned as large being top 100 nifty companies, mid being next 150 companies and small next 250..if I search like that in screener, then it comes to large>100000 mid - 30000-100000 small - 10000-30000 but in google it says large >20000 mid - 5000-20000 small
SEBI’s guidelines are as follows: • Large cap: Companies ranked between 1 and 100 based on market capitalization. • Mid cap: Companies ranked between 101 and 250 based on market capitalization. • Small cap: Companies ranked beyond 250 based on market capitalization. Currently, companies with a market capitalization (Mcap) less than ₹27,000 crore are classified as small cap. Mid cap companies have a market capitalization ranging from ₹27,000 crore to ₹84,000 crore. Companies with a market capitalization greater than ₹84,000 crore are classified as large cap.

EPS is a metric to track the profitability of a company. It’s an accounting number(not real cash-flow), which will give you an idea about whether or not the company was able to generate profit for the year. The profits they made will be reinvested in the business(growth) or they may issue dividends.
