And a melee weapon with nothing special and sucks ass. I’m not some Fortnite kid mocking a game I don’t like. I am someone who has played CoD for years. With that in mind I can assure you they care more about the money tycoon they have created and not the actual passion into making a good game. It is why triple A games today absolutely suck

@@user-tr2mb4xs7i Honestly it’s what you define as new. Three of the “new” maps I knew like the back of my hand prior to them being added. It’s not like they are nostalgic (expect rebirth), they are from a game that was published 2 years ago. Sure there is a new original one but it is a small-medium sized map that took half a game to learn. I guess my point is that if I pay for a game (like CoD) then I want to learn new maps. I want to see truly new ideas introduced and that I can explore. But the only thing that is truly new is the skins that they charge people for

Sledgehammer really flipped the melee community the middle finger this year.
Only decent thing we got was the sword and it still has a delay when using throwing knives
If they added a katana variant of the sword instead of another color i would’ve been happy
they removed the delay already
@@M16A1gaming it’s still slow and delayed in comparison to previous games. In MW19 I could run around like a madman throwing knives instantly when I pressed the button and if someone was close to me at the same time I could melee. There’s a clunky delay that nerfs cqc for melee players. It’s annoying as hell

They have a sledgehammer execution. Maybe add one as a melee weapon with a heavy melee that crushes the enemies skull or something.

Major respect to that enemy for allowing you to complete the finisher on his teammate. I do that to when I’m playing a respawn mode. Now if I’m playing like SnD and see an enemy doing a finisher on a teammate I’ll stop it from happening.🤘🏻🤣
The heavy attack on the sword was to give a counter to riot shields as it ignores the shield be they holding it or on their back where other melee weapons cant(Thats the swords nitch basically is to break through riot shields). I doubt theyll add the heavy attack to every new melee weapon. Also they lessoned the throwing knife delay on the sword(which TKO covered lol).

I have a sneaking suspicion that they might make different Blueprints for the Soulrender. Like maybe a proper Gladius, Bastard Sword, simple Machete (perhaps a slasher reference?), or even a Wakizashi (I say Wakizashi and not Katana because the Katana is a 2 handed long-sword, Wakizashi is 1 handed short-sword.). it has the animations, and it has the size.
I was just talking to my brother about how they could make a mastercraft Katar like weapon that would be the predators wristblades if they do a collab for the next movie

The new maps are good. Growhouse is Sphere from COD Vanguard. The dog execution is the exact same as all the other ones. You should check out the ordnance gloves, they did a buff on them where you use equipment faster.
You get a Blueprint of the Bootyplug if you buy all of the Godzilla X Kong bundles. And considering they have executions from what I've seen, I think you're going to get it

A little heads up for ya,TKO: there’s a new vest for players like you that adds quick fix. Only downside is you lose the tac equipment for your loadout, so no smoke grenades or stuns

It's always cool to get a new melee weapon even if it's nothing crazy, but this really couldve just been a combat knife skin
The snoop dog has a special finishing move, it only shows up when you equip it from battle pass

Long sword , katana , bisento , scythe , sickle , baseball bat , axe , sledge hammer , the crucible sword as a blueprint
tbh, I can't see them adding anything as long as a polearm. Would be cool, though. I can already see it having a possible lunge animation like a bayonet and giving it more range. Perhaps its niche would be the bayonet sprint from WW2/Vanguard where it gives a faster than tac-sprint speed and higher lunge range.

I think it would have been better if they had made the melee for this a quick punch, like a jab or something, and made it maybe the fastest melee weapon or something. What’s the point of a new melee weapon if it works exactly the same as one that already exists? What if the next melee weapon was some kind of spear? Like a short spear with a round shield or something, where you can throw the spear and retrieve it, and potentially block some shots with the shield. It could have a short execution animation where you run them through and completely impale them, or you impale their head up through the chin. Or maybe…what about a zweihander?

Heavy melees for every single melee going forward would be broken. The balance for the soul render being slow is that it can do a heavy melee through a riot shield. Heavy melees on fast weapons would be bad for balancing.
