They really need to give like a safe secure or something when you glitch out or disconnect when your game crashes or loses internet its such shit to lose a streak for something you cant control.
Honestly I don’t think they care bro tbh look how fast they patched things with tombstone and where headed to season 3 with the original bug that has plagued this shiii game sense day one *CRASHING* but they patched tombstone and nerfed it to the fn ground woooohoooo go team!

@@bryanholmer107 Exactly bro or people’s games wouldn’t still be crashing the same way and at the same speed of occurrence happening over and over again… it kinda makes me feel like the whole crashing thing is there doings purposely to keep the consumer playing more and more longer and longer. I’ve not had one other game I play on my PS5 crash and glitch out as I have MW3 yeah I may have a random crash from Rocket League every now and then or Fortnite but this call of duty BS crashes every other day sometimes up to 5 times in one single gaming session and recently it crashed literally back to back on 2 different occasions I mean crashed right after it just crashed literally I restart my console load back up and within a few seconds bam crashes again, for pre ordering and spending $100.00 on something they really know how to professionally **** on there customers then you’ve got cheat developers out here that no matter how many ban waves you here Hactavision claim they cracked down on and banned still cheaters on cheaters In game I guess these cheat developers pay Hactavision off so much money and the ones that fall lower on the pay cut then others who payed more higher end up getting caught and exposed and simply the true reason why it never gets cleaned completely up is the ones that payed higher up there in money also get the advantage of continuing to wreck the game and there you go welcome to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 the simulation cycle of absolute BS. In simpler terms it’s all about the money baby f everything and everyone else as long as we get the money and that’s what they have accomplished hats off to them I fell for there tactic once again.
For anyone wondering, I'll tell you what happens.
As soon as you do anything other than the base map, you lose contamination. So, essentially, dont worry about it, unless you dont want any good gear, or are happy just hanging for a few then exfiling.
Story portals, and dark aether portals are counted as eliminations in game. So you can spend the whole match in orange or red zone banging out contract after contract, and come out at 14 contamination level after doing 15 contracts. Its real neat, since "technically" you died out twice, once when leaving base map, and another when extracting from wherever you went to.
Classic cod.

I wouldn’t know what being at max containment level is like…..being that the game penalizes me by dropping me 10-12 containment levels every time I go into the dark aether…..you know, the new content.
the containment level got reduced one tier per disconnect/going to Dark Aether, so its not only 10-12

@@JeffMinnichbach the portals to the purple crystal DMZ areas. You go through the arch ways/portals, there’s two missions that initially take you to the Dark Aether and from there you can collect a series of items to unlock a harder version of it where you can collect schematics and good loot. Look for the purple tornados on the map.

Ngl, imagine this make it that when you're at containment level 100+, like 120 to 150 your player will now able to have a free pap and rare variety weapon

I can confirm that going to the Dark Aether or a story mission will lose you a tier if you go to any one of them.
Edit: It's a gamble, it would get rid of a tier or keeps your current tiers. The choice is yours whatever you do for whatever reason you go to those areas.

I play on console and the bugs are really starting to get to me, I used to be able to brush off the occasional disconnect or game ending bug, but it’s starting to become too common. One more crash away from redownloading Cold War zombs

I was disconnected from server 7 times in the past 3 days... Lost my profile and my loadout that many times.. .it's just horrific... I"m really considering just uninstalling the game and just move onto Helldivers or something... I already gave up Destiny 2.....
The containment level system has the potential to really improve the game by increasing the cap level and adding more rewards like greatly reducing the cool down for crafting schematics, improving field upgrades, increasing tactical and lethal equipment count and so on.

the containment level bug for the dark aether (or story missions for that matter) is a well known bug within sledgehammer's devlopment team, as shown by their trello board.
hopefully its fixed today (3/13/2024 as of writing this). but if not, you can see the other bugs tracked via their trello board that ANYONE can see

FYI guys, last night I was doing an early exfil b/c I got done what I needed to and my game kinda froze in the exfill helicopter. I say kinda b/c although I wasn't moving nor was the chopper, the timer was still going (20+minutes) and the storm was moving. I stuck it out and stayed to see what happened at the end. The storm came, took my gas mask and my plates, then the timer hit 0 and it went back to zombies main screen, BUT I didn't lose anything, so it counted as a successful exfil. Just FYI if you get stuck there, just afk and let it play out.
I think I'm at the highest containtment since I've only completed act 1. Coming in with 5K and PaP discount is huge. I'm halfway through serpentinite, so it's helping.
I have noticed if you want to unlock new weapons just go to the mystery box, I got the new sword in tier one mystery box. So they are kinda worth it to open them if you want new weapons
So if I max out the containment level on an operator and then I scrap that operator and switch them out for another operator do I lose the containment levels or does it remain for that slot

I did a dark aether last night after a long chill game, regular T4 sigil in the new rift, and my containment levels actually rose!! Is it wrong to have hope they may have fixed the bug?
So fun fact about loosing your cont streak when going into the dark aether. This bug has been in the game since the beginning. If you go into your players stats the game doesn’t count leaving the dark aether as an exvile. I think the helicopter has something to do with how the game tracks successful exviles. And only reason I know this is true is because in my player stats all my “failed” exviles are all my dark aether games. It’s when you go through the portal the game “kills” your character.
I hit the max level, and then I did an experiment to see what happens when you land on the exfil chopper from above, didn't end well and lost 25 levels
I joined a random team we did a deliver cargo but the turret on the vehicle had a laser on it and was being controlled with out anyone in the seat

I've been grinding Containment level on my three characters, started to make some progress, then it was reset to 0... even after a successful exfil. This game is so buggy! Drives me insane!
I just used the haymeker in the tier 3 zone that was max upgraded and was barely doing any damage. I imagine it got nerfed right?

It was me and another player fighting the redworm I had like 30 seconds to find a decent gun to fight him with, so I went over to the mystery box in pulled a tier4 weapon flow to get it pack3 n had 12 seconds to spear
5 new Percs and I just popped one 😂 🎤 BARS also….poor craig

I am going to farm with the Flamethrower as much as I can now because I am sure 300% that with the excuse to patch this bug that going in the Dark Aether lowers your containment level, they will also massively nerf it ...
I only hit the mystery box if I’m heading to exfill and it’s super late game so I have the higher wonder weapon chance just to have a wonder weapon

I had something similar, a player parked a LTV right in front of the garage my cargo LTV was in blocking me from leaving then left it there when it caught on fire, had I not had PHD I would have died when I jumped in to move it out of the way.

Too bad I can't ever up my containment level since half the time the game dev errors me or the servers crash...
I was around a 100 or so and something happened and i went back to zero. I have been glitched out of the helicopter and killed without being able to be revived. I have gotten errors and kicked from game. Most recent i was just checking the grarage for circuit boards and then i just got closed in the truck area and couldn't get out. It was like a cargo thing started and stuck me inside. So i downed myself and got someone to start the cargo contract and they was nice enough to save me. Spent too much money on this game for this stuff top keep happening.

What's best is when I hit 104 on day 2 and on day 3 when I used that character again it reset back to 0. Good times.
Same thing happened to me, 107, exfil for the evening, come in the next evening and I’m at ZERO!
Just went to the Dark Ather…the new one.. I made it out .. went from 110 to 20 on my containment level🤬…. Did the old sigil the day before with a different character, no problem.

Mine resets every game on every operator. I can’t get past 36. When in T5, it only counts 12 levels total when exiting.

well, let's see.. I was at containment 123, deployed and when the timer hit 0, I had exactly that 0 containment.... randomly wipes out your cotainment levels now... what a great fix...I didn't take any crystal with me becuase I thought I had 5K to start with... so now you can't even count on the containment level you have... it's just awful...

Just a heads up they fixed the dark aether containment bug. It still does bug out normally sometimes but way less.
T3 mystery box is useful just to get legendary guns if the wall guns aren't good.
Bro I set a record 25 contracts yesterday doing bounties woth Scorcher in 43 min. 4 T1 , 1T3 and the rest T2 got 77k ess too. Went from 21 to 53 but I exited through the portal so I think I lost containment.
I was 186 containment level. I done the story mission with the special exfill and done the mission successfully and it deranked me to 76 containment level

I've got 1 operator no matter how many contracts I do stays at 21 and another everytime I go to the dark aether my level drops by 25 like I died in game even though I successfully exfil and won't go back up again no matter how many contracts I do
I'm curious if you have an operator at like 150 and you die, does it still take you back down to tier 9 or only take away like 10 points?? But the containment level has made things much much easier now to get into the higher tiers much faster.
If you have 100+ points and get squad wiped you go back down to 75. Doesn't matter how many past 100 you have.
I was at containment level 88 with one operator, then it went back to 0 for no reason. This game is so glitched!
