This is still one of my faves. That straightaway between the 405 interchange and Hayvenhurst is my favorite section of the freeway, especially going southbound on a clear day, when you can get a really good view of the mountains.
I drove this route to work for years, I’m from Thousand Oaks. I live in the Midwest now. However, as crazy as this sounds of the biggest mistakes that I’ve ever ever made in life was the day. I left Southern California. E what specially a huge mistake since Thousand Oaks is so beautiful. I’m gonna come home someday very soon (hopefully real property prices will drop a little bit first and SoCal well the increase in my new area in the Midwest. I will gladly say goodbye to this crazy cold place ….forever).
@Cyrus992: That's a good question. Perhaps it had more to do with economics, than anything else? The last building to be completed within the Warner Center, I believe was in 1995? Most of it was constructed throughout the 1980's.
@Juliansworld: There's one simple answer for the traffic patterns along the 101 in the San Fernando Valley. The Warner Center (employs over 40,000 people) often draws people from Los Angeles *TO* Woodland Hills in the morning, and then vice-versa for the evening commute.
@Calif0rnIan: You mean while the video is rolling, itself? I list the song artist and title at the very end, in case you weren't aware. Hope this helps. :)
the furthest I have taken this freeway was Solvang which is in Santa Barbara County. Anywhere you go past Vertura, the signs are going to say "101 San Francisco".

Thanks for the videos.

Nice ride, especially enjoyed 4:18 to the end. Like the new notation arrangement too, thumbs up!
Great video Brent. I remember the summer of 2007, taking this stretch of the 101 to Camarillo every weekend. Brings back memories.
That song is out of this world thumbs up
I drove this section of 101 a few months ago, and was quite surprised at how fast people drive. I was going 70, and getting passed!

@Calif0rnIan: Oh, and for this song, it's Deadmau5 - "Outta My Life" (Touch Mix) w/Billy Newton-Davis.

Awesome, Brent! Thanks!

You should start including the song names in your songs more often. :D I think we like a lot of the same time of music hah.
