I was lucky enough to be with him for a couple of nights on tour in 1973. When in the private part of his suite with a couple of other women, Elvis was talking about how he never sang a song that didn't have a meaning to him. He then recited that verse from this song that starts with "My woman got tired of the heartache....." and he started to tear up and turned around with his back to us for a few minutes. It was obvious that he was still having a great deal of trouble over his marriage breakup and his little daughter being with Priscilla. Elvis was a very deep and sensitive person. He read to us from another book at that time that he was so interested in. He carried a suitcase of his favourite reading material with him on every tour. God bless this man...
Elvis the greatest singer ever he song from the heart ♥ loved him this song was sad but wow so amazing when elvis reached the high notes loved it loved him ♥️ 💋 elvis the king 👑 rip elvis 👑 ♥️ 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎧🎸💐💐🌹🌺🌺
HeyJAYY , glad you reacted to this song. He has a lei around his neck because this was live from HAWAII and it was the first television program that was sent around the world is satellite and 1.5 BILLION people watched it live. In over 40 countries.
This song was written by and originally preformed by Marty Robbins. Keep in mind that Elvis lost his twin brother at birth, his father went to prison when he was a child for a short period time, his mother passed away in 1958 at the age of 42, and he had just went through the divorce in the year prior to this performance in Hawaii.
Right before this concert his wife left him for another man. He was heartbroken and don’t think he ever recovered. You should play his gospel songs. How Great Thou Art is one. There are many.
My question is where were you 60 years ago? This is one of my favorite song by EP ♥️♥️♥️ RIP Elvis A Presley 👑👑👑 Obviously your not that old. But giírrll he is the king. I thought everyone knew EP music.
Elvis said after his movie career and the deaths of MLK & RFK he only wanted to record songs he felt, his voice was amazing, one of a kind, I love knowing younger people are discovering him... You get hooked,
He added this song to his stage show right at the time of his separation to his wife, Priscilla in 1972. They had a little girl named Lisa Marie who was 4 at the time. They divorced a year later.
Elvis just knew how to bring a song to life and hit you right in the heart. You should do the song My Boy, the lyrics just kills you, and the way he sings it just goes deeper.
Oh.... Aloha from Hawaii... the last time he looked REALLY good.. and sounded even better. I remember watching this on TV when I was just a little bitty kid... and being mesmerized by the power of his voice and the honesty of his emotions. I even remember having this on 8-track... got it for my 10th birthday along with a portable 8-track player... I wore that tape out! This was also the first worldwide telecast... with delays of course.. and the US showed it at a later date to avoid broadcasting opposite the Super Bowl , January 14, 1973... it was broadcast in the US on April 4th of that year.
A beautiful powerful song Elvis looks great in his outfit s he gave another great performance of this song Elvis on tour 1972 my personal favorite version thank you have a good day 😎👍🏼✌🏼
This is from Elvis Aloha From Hawaii shown by satellite around the world live!!! Never been done before at that time. A lot of money went in to this and it wasn't sure if their was going to be any problems. It was seen by 1 billion to 1.5 billion people around the world . Another first for Elvis. You can get the dvd at amazon. you will in joy the concert the songs and excitement . Any songs you react to from this is going to be great
THE LYRICS ARE, AEWSOME, THATS WHAT I LKED ABOUT, ELVIS, HE SANG SONGS ABOUT PAIN, VERY DEEP SONGS, HE TOOK THE, WORLD AND SHOOK IT UP GREAT LYRICS. GREAT SONG THANKS JAYY.
As great a performer as Elvis was such artists can't do much without the talents of great song writers such as country balladeer Marty Robbins, who wrote this one. It was an era of extraordinary all-round talent.
Elvis was at his peak when he was singing Gospel. This song was in the genre. I encourage you to listen to his gospel. He was good at Rock, but his roots were elsewhere.
This was the first via satellite concert around the world. This concert was a benefit concert for Kua Lee Cancer fund. All of the proceeds went to the Cancer fund. I believe Elvis’s salary also. They we’re supposed to raise $25,000 but they raised $50,000. That was huge in 1973. The concert was called “Aloha from Hawaii “. I was in 6th grade then.
This concert he was at the top of the mountain.... power success money then there were no more challenges for him, he and Priscilla were on the outs and we all know the sad ending ....
I really enjoy your reactions especially to Elvis, it's great to see younger people finding Elvis's music and giving props to the King, I would like to suggest a great song that's less heard but one of my favorites, an upbeat and fun song first recorded by the great Chuck berry, called "Promise Land" might be fun to cover both versions and see what you think. :)
“Aloha from Hawaii” was the first concert to be sent around the world by satellite! They say it reached over a Billion Viewers! I watched it with my parents. You would think we just landed on the moon.lol! Best concert he ever done! If You can find the whole thing, check it out, oh yeah, I was five. Never forget it!
1977, some of your subscribers weren't even born, he meant a lot to our generation, I was 15 when he passed. I remember the day, my mom had to tell me. I was only 15, 1977, there were so many other bands.
@ 3:56 “That rock” on his left hand, was the Aloha Horseshoe ring. Later on in his life, Elvis gifted that ring to JD Sumner. @ 4:24 talk about being in command of the ship. He truly was electrifying.
Back here again it's ok..every ELVIS sang I love, I believe baby boy his twin brother, his daughter his moma, She is his wife. I believe his first wife his true love. I'm pretty sure of this after reading books visiting Graceland. ELVIS is icon 4ever, like you he's rocked people world with different music he does...peace love respect jayyshow
This song was wrote and performed by country artists Marty Robbins all through he was massive in his own right he was so honored that Elvis did his song.
1st off you look beautiful. 2nd...yet again, thank you for sharing your emotions 3rd...a lil context - this is the same year, 1973, that Priscilla divorced him & took Lisa Marie with her.
The aloha concert was around his divorce. And the setlist of this concert shows it. This one, and songs like "it's over" etc. Shows many emotions from him regarding the divorce...that's my theory at least
Elvis was a god he loved his mom and missed his twin brother who was still born elvis didnt have a son he has a daughter lisa marie this was just a song ... if you wont to really exprince his beauitfl voice then please watch all his gospel BBking called him Gods GIFT TO GOSPEL xoxoxo peace
Elvis had already had to start taking Prednisone (a steroid) at this time in his life...although I don’t remember why. Anyway, that’s why his face looks swollen and, if you noticed, he didn’t finish belting that last note like he typically would do. Prednisone effected he’s breathing as well.
elvis presley the king of music,,,ELVIS the best singer all times,,,ELVIS the best artist all times
There is and alway's will be only 1 Elvis Presley ! I love this man.
thats how you sing a song... no one will ever be at the level of Elvis.. best voice to ever sing PERIOD
and the female would be Miss Karen Carpentar. An angel and a king, how appropriate :)
Like i say we thank you for playing
Elvis the king of music

" Woman Without Love" is one of Elvis Presley's best. A song that had great personal significance to Elvis Presley.

An astute observation. Elvis can make a sad song sound so good. Even it sent a message through itself. Good reaction once again.
"I'll remember you " is the saddest I think from aloha

As great a performer as Elvis was such artists can't do much without the talents of great song writers such as country balladeer Marty Robbins, who wrote this one. It was an era of extraordinary all-round talent.
Elvis was also the pioneers of satellite broadcast This was the 1st one shown around the world in American music history!
He’s in Hawaii, live around the world. At his best. As always
Elvis was at his peak when he was singing Gospel. This song was in the genre. I encourage you to listen to his gospel. He was good at Rock, but his roots were elsewhere.
Yes he definitely does flashbacks..if you study his life you would understand

That is the way it was back then. They singers told stories. That is why they are so relatable.
What a voice ❤
Amazing thank you for playing it
Song was written by the great Marty Robbins ...Elvis did a wonderful job
One of this mans treasures a great choice cut his TCB band always top notch

I would love to recommend “ Steamroller Blues “ by Elvis ! And pretend he is singing to you !! LOL !!
1st off you look beautiful.
2nd...yet again, thank you for sharing your emotions
3rd...a lil context - this is the same year, 1973, that Priscilla divorced him & took Lisa Marie with her.
Love our king, need to go to graceland young lady😭😭😭😭😭
"I'll remember you" from this aloha concert is soooo sad as he was thinking of his late moma :'(
I've seen Elvis perform this song. Frankie Laine made a hit. Elvis said he just liked this song
The G.O.A.T
Please react to Elvis' gospel song " Where could I go, but to the Lord" Thanks again
No auto tune. No one today can sing without autotune.
Watch the entire concert
Very passionate man I wish I could of met in person
I meant I wish I could of meet in petson
I’m not religious, but o gosh. Amazing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
amazing reacion may god bless you and your chane :)
👍🏻
Ronnie tutt on drums!
The aloha concert was around his divorce. And the setlist of this concert shows it. This one, and songs like "it's over" etc. Shows many emotions from him regarding the divorce...that's my theory at least
He was just divorced at this time.
His voice was pure power.
He got divorced at the end of 1973.
Tim is right Vicki!
They divorced in October '73.
But they were already separated when the concert took place.
Ok it was around this time. I knew they were either done
or on their way to it. He was with Linda Thompson for this concert.
I stand corrected.
He didn't write this song, but the timing of him singing it is not long after Priscilla left.
Reaction " Let me " please please please thanks 🤗✌️🎶.
Loved this reaction. Can I have a reaction to bruce springsteen 'American skin' please?
The Elvis guy was a bit of a badass
Written and recorded by Marty Robbins!
Try American trilogy from the aloha from Hawaii concert, which is same show
Elvis was a god he loved his mom and missed his twin brother who was still born elvis didnt have a son he has a daughter lisa marie this was just a song ... if you wont to really exprince his beauitfl voice then please watch all his gospel BBking called him Gods GIFT TO GOSPEL xoxoxo peace
good cover done originally by Frankie Laine !!
He sang about real life.
Marty Robbins wrote it.
Elvis had already had to start taking Prednisone (a steroid) at this time in his life...although I don’t remember why. Anyway, that’s why his face looks swollen and, if you noticed, he didn’t finish belting that last note like he typically would do. Prednisone effected he’s breathing as well.
