This is my HD 1080p Let's Play / Walkthrough / Playthrough of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX for the PlayStation 3. In this let's play I will fully cover the HD remastered English version of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, now for the first time officially released worldwide. I am doing this Let's Play on the hardest difficulty the game has to offer, CRITICAL MODE.

Before watching I honestly thought you'd half ass this but holy shit you went in with the editing, recording, clips, etc. I already have the Ultima Weapon lol but this is definitely the best guide out for it and will definitely help people who are having trouble getting the UW. Started working on it yesterday. Did 8 hours of straight work (pre-editing), woke up this morning and started editing, which took about 4 more hours.
After the render, put in the 60+ clickable annotations on the youtube video (1 more hour) and here we are.

i was looking for this exact kind of comment before even attempting to get ultima wep in kh2.5 fm. i just got mine in kh 1.5 and it took me ~10 hrs of game time to finally synthesize it.
itsssdante Campregher same here. The worst part was: proud mode. A nightmare to collect the needed materials when it a wild goose chase. for whatever reason the clocktower boss was hard, even at lvl100.
That’s only cause sone genius decided to incorporate new final mix synth items from those damn new heartless which where a pain in the ass to farm up
Here is a tip: If you don't usually synthesize, then the Ultima weapon might be blacked out. You need to have a certain level in Moogle Synthesizing, but I think you only need to be the first level. You have to synthesize items until your Moogle Exp runs out, and if you level up, just once, it will say that you can use Bright Crystals and Energy Crystals. And by synthesizing the Ultima Weapon, you get almost to a full level of Moogle Exp.

HexFlamer Besitula Can't you also level up the moogle synthesizing to a point where S rank items are automatically halved, removing the need for the energy crystal in the recipe?
Forgot Other Password Yes! That works too, but all the effort it needs is to grind the same item(s). Bright crystals are needed as well. (Hence why you need to synthesize until Bright Crystals and Energy Crystals are usable.) I'd say it's your choice, but it depends on whether you need to synthesize *other* materials to get to S-Rank-Material-Halving. If that is the case, it's a win-win, because you got other important items and the ability to synthesize the Ultima Weapon with your Moogle Level Abilities.
HexFlamer Besitula What sucks about that is that even if you do both you'd need one more orichalcum + to make the ultima weapon +... which actually isn't fully coded anyway.

This is easily the best guide on YT for the Ultima but I just want to state one thing that I had an issue with that didn't seem he mentioned in the video, You need to have at least a level 2 Moogle Lvl to make the Ultima, I had all the items in the list everything was complete I double check but couldn't seem to make it. Look everywhere until I decided to make a item and found out you need Level 2 Moogle. So if you have al items and can't seem to make it make a weapon, I made Donald's Save the Queen and I instantly was able to make it. Aside from that great video, Thumbs up for it.

I remember in Vanilla kh2 you could get ultima in like half an hour or 1 hour at most... Now in 2.5 you gotta actually level your drive forms and level up to get all the items found in the cavern of remembrance :l + the Shrooms ughhh

Energy Crystals can be dropped by Bookmasters. Bookmasters can be found in Radiant Garden.
It’s not showing where I can use the energy crystal to bring the 13 down to 7
Your moogle level should be something around 3 i think,
Try leveling up your moogle level.

i didn't know how much easier ultima was and how close i was to that final ori+ until seeing this video. i was fully ready to make every other thing in the moogle shop first[since that's how it was in kh1 & kh1fm], but once you told to take a look at what i was missing, not only did i have a newfound motivation to get ultima weapon done, it allowed me to make that extra push to go for making stk+ & stq+!
