Don’t worry about learning everything. Nursing school just teaches you the basics you need. Once you’ve been a nurse for 2 years, then your actually competent, and even then, there are new things you will continue to learn. I’ve been an RN for 9 years and remember how tough it was starting out in nursing school, but you’ll do amazing, Your positive attitude will help you a lot! Good luck in your journey!

You don’t learn everything you need to know about being a nurse in school. You learn so so much once you actually work in the field so don’t stress!! I never even started an IV in nursing school. I’ve been a nurse 10 years now. You will be a great nurse!! You got this!

My nursing teacher once told me that you will feel clueless at your first job but when the time comes the knowledge will just come to you. Also you learn all hands on through work. The other nurses are very helpful and work as a team
She was so excited about her pen light lol that was cute 😂 I get it when I was in nursing school I was so proud of my lavender stethoscope.
Yay! Congratulations! Have a calendar available to help organize all the class work due dates. Sim labs. Clinical days, etc color code things too! And make sure to give yourself plenty of breaks in between studying sessions.

Kayleigh you’re going to be just fine. Like the others have mentioned, nursing school teaches you the basics. You’ll learn everything you need to know when you’re actually working as a nurse. I’ve been a nurse for 32 years and have been a preceptor for many of new grads. So excited for you.

I just started in August and omgod its stressful, but don't be discouraged. Long hours, but i've never felt as fulfilled as i do know even just being a nursing student.
Yes, that's what I've been hearing! This semester isn't bad so far but I know next year once I start taking 6 classes at a time again it will be hard for sure
I did an accelerated nursing program, one year, it’s do able as long as you put the work into...took 5 years off to raise my boys now my old NICU job is taking me back :)

You seem so happy I’m so excited for you! I am a nurse and I know how overwhelming it is in the beginning but it is also a good journey with good classmates they help you get through it. You won’t remember or learn everything you to spot on start as a nurse and continue learning on the job and continue to have in service trainings also. You got this! Nursing school is definitely a beast. I'm currently in my second semester and I struggle with anxiety about it, especially the exams. My biggest advice is to be confident in yourself and you will succeed.

Let us know how the accelerated program is! I’m 25 and just started going back to school taking my gen Ed courses. My best friend is a nurse but she did a traditional nursing course to get her BSN RN. I’m itching to get through school and get into my career and I’m so curious to see how an accelerated program goes because I would love to actually get done with everything before I turn 30 🥴

We got ourselves an air fryer and we love it! So far we have made sweet potato fries and sweet potato patties in it and they are so good (been on a sweet potato kick lately 😋 😂)

@@ForeverYours0727 we buy them already cut in the frozen section at Walmart. The fries are from Alexia and the patties are Pictsweet Farms Yam Patties. We just follow the heating instructions and the sweet potato patties my mom puts ground cinnamon on it before putting it in the air fryer. We just put them in frozen and they come out perfect 👌🏻

Omg I can’t believe I found you again! I remember first watching way back in 2010 when I was 18 years old. I’ll be 30 next year! I haven’t seen you in years. I think the last video I watched of you you were still with your boyfriend who’d you’d been with for years. Are you two married now or not together anymore?
I am currently doing prerequisites for the nursing program at the community college im going to . Would u say its better to do a 4 year nursing university or a 2 year nursing program? I am also currently doing a CNA program its a prerequesite for the nursing program. Omg! I would love to win that scrub ! College is no joke so expensive will help me to at least no worry about spending more on scrubs
It's up to you and your learning style! I personally chose an accelerated program one because I'm old af so I wanted to finish as fast as possible to get out into the field but also because I know that I can mentally do it. Based on how I performed taking 6 prereq classes all at once in one semester and successfully getting A's in all of them, I knew that I could handle the work load. If you're young and you want to learn at a slower pace then I'd go for the longer program!

I have a B average I say. I am 30 years old. This is my first year attending college. My college offers and rn program but not sure if its accelerated Im going to ask. The only problem is that there is a long waiting list for that program, so my plan is to go to phlebotomy to at least get a job in the clinical setting and then keep applying for the nursing program. I know you will do great! Getting is to me ia the hardest part of the program. I love your dog !
Choosing which program depends on your situation. It will be way cheaper to get your ADN in a community college and then transfer. I lucked out since my CC also started offering BSN online, so right after I did my 2 years I started online classes. Some ppl finished their BSN degree within a year. Plus I qualified for financial aid so both my ADN and BSN were completely paid for.

You don't NEED to have prior experience in a hospital/clinical setting to get accepted. I didn't have any and still got in. Although I do believe my 4.0 GPA in prereqs helped a lot. Maybe if I had a lower GPA they would have wanted to see some experience. There's a few girls in my cohort right now who have had prior experience, one did phleb too right before! So it's up to you, definitely won't hurt anything!
