What was your favorite part of the vlog? :)
Love watching your vlog for me there's no favorite part but watching you recording your work outs and your cooking always makes me to stay to the end of your videos... 💘 you stay strong we are for you😉😉
The entire vlog!!I have always enjoyed watching all your content from makeup to workouts to cooking and everything in between
That it’s almost 40 minutes :D
@@Mariely1 lol yes testing to see what you guys like more- longer or shorter vlogs. Will compare views/engagement to my last vlog I posted to find out! :)
@Maria Casella aw thank you so so much maria! appreciate that 🙏
My favorite part of the video was your calm tone from the beginning to the end. My favorite nurse is calming and reassuring. The good nurse has a genuine compassion for people. The good nurse never takes anything a patient says personally when that patient is in pain, scared or sick. The good nurse is always patient, kind, understanding, attentive, and respectful always to the patient. A good nurse loves themselves first, and then they can share that love with others. A good nurse respects themselves first, and then they can share that respect with others. Patients see the good nurse as an angel of mercy. I always do.
Love that, so beautiful!
@@ForeverYours0727 thank you. You are a beautiful spirit in this world and your patients will see that because you are well on your way to becoming the good nurse we all need.
Been a nurse for 10 years and I can say that having nursing students can really throw off your day and interrupt your work flow. Sometimes you’re stressed and trying to get through your day because if the start of your day goes badly the rest of your twelve hours can be hell. I’ve also seen situations where nurses have a hard time multitasking and can open up areas of liability. For me personally it’s hard because you’re trying to be kind and teach at the same time and it can just be mentally and physically draining. That’s the reason nurses kind of dread it, it’s nothing personal and we all understand.
That said most nurses love having a competent student by the time they’re in their last term because then they’re really helpful! Haha. Good job and good luck!!!
Great to see from another perspective! Thank you!
Thank you for your hard work, selfless dedication,Nurses are so very important and I know when I was in the Hospital more then once my Nurses were very caring, understanding, really showed the bond that nurse have with eachother,I do think I’m general Nurses are underpaid, over worked and if they didn’t have the passion and heart to care for the sick, young and old and elderly and everything else that we don’t even know about-Thank you Thank you and God bless you and keep you healthy and safe
When you don't want to go, you always end up having a good one. I think it has to do with the stress of the day. You want to mope at home and be lazy but in reality that workout is going to help release all the stress and anxiety 😅 🙌🙌🙌
exactly!!!! so true
I can really see the drive & determination you have to complete your program. Been watching for a long time & have to say I’m super proud of you for being a positive example, not just to your younger viewers, but all of us who watch your videos. Great job, Kayleigh!
I haven't checked in on you in quite a while and have to just say that I am so happy for you and proud that you are kicking ass and taking names. Good for you ...🙌 Watched you waaaaaay back in the day and have seen you go through all the trials and tribulations and come out stronger and more level headed.
So so proud of you Kayleigh! You’re such an inspiration and like an older sister to me. I’ve been watching your videos for a long time now and it’s nice to see your doing great things for yourself ♥️
Thank you so much!!
I LOVE the week in the life concept!! Also you are doing amazing with everything. School with other life stuff, even day to day stuff, and going to the gym is exhausting.
Thank you so much! It's a lot on my plate but felt very organized this week even with the added filming/editing. Hopefully I can keep this up!
My wife just graduated and got a new job to be a neonatal nurse practitioner while having our first child (hardest thing ever) totally understand taking time off, and I wasn't even the one taking classes....I feel like I might could pass some of them, from helping my wife study lol - it is scary with the babies, but alot easier to deal with than adults....at least that's her preference. But she makes great money and will always have some type of job availability. She did research nursing for a while which gave her alot of different experience. So many things you can do with that....I know you have mostly a female following, but I've been a long time follower since you and Matt... but love to see you doing well and grinding out school and killing it, you're going to do great things!
Thanks so much! Good luck to her being a new nurse!
Thanks for vlogging your nursing journey! I’ve been following forever and I recently decided to go back to school and pursue nursing so it’s definitely nice to know it is possible!
Love this vlog ! Day in the life is so good 👍
Had a rough week, thanks for posting this really real vlog. Been following you for ages and you are such a good person. You deserve the best. See you soon in another vlog 💙
I love all of the nursing school content! Starting my OB/Peds rotation in the Fall!
Excited for you! It's a whole different world than medsurg haha
I thoroughly have always enjoyed watching your content and just you as a person! You're such a genuine soul and I can relate to that! Thank you for making time to create content!
I like seeing your realistic meals! Good luck this semester :)
I love your vlogs!!! I have been following you for over 10 years and I love your journey. Truly inspiring! I’m not in nursing school but I went back to school a few years ago to become a registered dietitian and my dietetic internship starts this fall! Seeing you start your clinicals makes me so excited for my rotations to begin soon! I love seeing how you organize your workload with life, working out, meals, etc. it’s so interesting (and motivating) to me!! Looking forward to more vlogs, good luck in your summer semester! xoxo
You have come so far girl. You should be so proud 🥹💪🏼🙏🏻👏🏻
I love seeing what you eat and your workouts!! You’re going to be such an amazing Nurse!
Thank you so much!! ^_^
I love these videos! It’s good seeing you hope all is well!!
thanks so much!
Keep your chin up girl and keep grinding!!! You got this!!! I am so proud of you!!!
Thanks so much Jessica means a lot to me!
I'm happy to see another video! I completely understand the feeling of not wanting to workout. It's not just stress but I'm so damn tired after 12 hr shift and dealing with depression. I push myself to workout and I'm always glad I do. I just workout on my days off. I'm glad you are doing ok, take care of yourself dear. Love ya girl 🥰
Yes working out on days off is so much better haha Thank you always for your support! XO
Yessss love the work out parts! That green outfit looks bomb on you! ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you girlie! Appreciate it! It's from fashion nova - I'll link it in the description ^_-
I'm happy you're going to do more vlogs. I always enjoy them! And we get to see Kota more too!
Yay! Thank you!
I spent the last hour searching for your channel because I followed years ago and I randomly thought of you. So glad you’re still making videos. Subscribed again and I’m excited to catch up :)
Hope ur finishing up summer strong! Ur almost there
Kayleigh, I can't wait for you to start blessing us with some nursing vlogs or day in the life as a nurse! Keep your head in the game girl! The end goal is near ❤️ long time watcher of yours! Love you and stay safe!
Thank you! Can't wait either! It will be so soon :)
I work in a local hospital in Arkansas as a housekeeper. Having done CNA work before, it hurts to see our nurses struggling. I think fresh faces and perspectives are welcome, but you also have to understand, and respect, those who have been in the game a while. You can learn SO much from them, including what you wouldn’t personally choose to do. I’ve been watching your content since I was a teenager, and it’s been amazing seeing your growth!
Thank you! Yes It's nice to be paired with both new nurses and nurses who've been there for years to see how they each do things. Then I can eventually figure out what works best for me using all their valuable information and tips!
Im scared to be a cna for this reason cause i know it’s hard out there but ik it will help me be a better nurse. There is always something to learn from people who been in the game
@@Mariely1 it’s honestly worth it. You learn SO much as a cna. An cna can make or break a nurses shift.
@@laurenhartness29 Agree completely!
It’s so inspiring to see how far you’ve come! You are super awesome and love to see how determined you are. I also love to see that although you are super busy with school you still make room for working out and eating as healthy as possible💚💚💚 I recently became a phlebotomist ( not as difficult as RN lol) but you were one of the reasons I decided to do it! It may sound weird but I’ve alway been fascinated with needles and blood 🩸 every time I needed to get testing done I loved watching from beginning to end and now here Iam working at a blood bank, my goal is to work at a hospital one day!
I love when you upload. You look great as always! 😍
Thank you so much!!
Great vlog I wish you the best of luck for the rest of your nursing journey you got this have a great rest of your weekend and a great start to your week
Thanks so much Melissa!
Pod was great Kayleigh
Thanks so much for checking it out :)
Wow after her absence Kayleigh is reallllly blessing us with these vlogs! 😍😍😍 this one & the last one are my favorite vlogs ever. Longtime follower, since before you really got into working out. So proud of you! 💕 PS I got the leopard shorts from last vlog and love them 😄🙌🏼
thank you! the shorts I'm wearing in this one (blue) are from the same link :) I ordered them in nude/brown too because I loved them so much!
Kayleigh, you are THAT girl omg can I be you❤ srsly such an inspiration, girl you are living life, growing, and thriving!!!!
Haha thank you so much xD Trying my best!
Glad you're back, love seeing how you and Koda are doing and i even like the nursing stuff considering giving someone a bed bath or helping on the toilet would be my personal nightmare LOL. I totally respect nurses because I could never do that job!! Keep up the great work and I was curious how you've shifted your studying to be more successful on tests, since that was something you realized you needed to change a while back?
Lol it's really not as bad as you think! The patients I have helped so far truly couldn't do it themselves, let alone even really speak. They were so out of it. But those that could speak were so sweet and felt very bad having me do it but I reassured them that that's what I'm here for, no need to feel that way!
Hello
Awe so cute Kota wanted to hold your hand. 🥰
lol yes that's always been her thing since the day I got her :) I never taught it to her!
Your dog seems SOOOOO sweet & gentle
she really is! such a sweetheart :)
Really enjoyed the vlog :)
yay thank you!
Yess!! I was so excited to see another video Kayleigh. I feel like some nurses get really overwhelmed when having a student nurse, esp my first semester since we aren’t able to do much. Clinicals are exhausting. One of the nurses I was with was on her first day and she was new to south Texas. I know for her she was hoping I speak Spanish so she wouldn’t have to use a translator. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case but I was glad to watch how she was able to manage it. I start my nurse externship any day now. The hospital were doing clinicals at made an exception for us to start after our first semester since we’ll have all but one clinical with them. Im hoping to learn IV’s before we start up again in 3 weeks
Will you be taking the next gen NCLEX?
Good luck this next semester!
Good luck Kayleigh!! I completely understand the stress of nursing school. I became a nurse in the Stone Age . There were no computers. Everything was handwritten. Nursing Care plans you had to go to the library for guidance.
Hello Shirley
Kayleigh youre so inspiring! I hope you meet a smart and handsome doctor, you’ll be the cutest power couple ever! Wish you the best on your journey 💜
Haha thanks so much Karen! I have a boyfriend xD
I looooove getting students!! It’s another set of hands to help❤️
I had horrible experiences in clinical where the nurses told us to go to a back room and “look at charts”. Would never do that to students!!
So happy to see you again. I can’t wait to start my journey to be a lpn . I’m a mom Of 4 so I’m scared I will not make it but I’ll try my hardest. When I was little my mom took care of seniors and she really loved nursing but couldn’t study for it. You have to love to work with people and help them to be a great nurse. So proud of you 👏❤️❤️😘
Yes so true! You can do it!
@@ForeverYours0727 thank you ❤️😘
Looove that your back! ❤️
thanks so much jennifer!
I used to teach clinicals for nursing school. I enjoyed it very much. I don't think I would like having a student now unless I had some time to prepare. I admire nursing students still wanting to do this job with COVID. Many have dropped out. I would think vlogging nursing school would be so impossible but you seem to be killin it!
I have been watching you for so long and I just want to say how proud I am of you and for doing so much all on your own. I totally wish I still lived in FL so we could be friends ❤️
Thank you so much!! Appreciate it girlie :) XO
Hi Beautiful!!!can’t wait to watch 💖
Hope you like it!
That sweet note from your bf 😍😍 You are killing it!!! Giving me inspo to get started and better my health 🤩
i love when he does stuff like that - so cute :) yes girl, get it!
Your dog is adorable…he’s gonna miss you when you start working! He’s probably soooo attached to you! My daughter is a nurse and worked in a hospital doing 12 hr overnight shifts … it was very difficult and did it for a while but thankfully a job came up in a cardiac out patient facility working 8am-4pm and no weekends which was a home run for her! Good luck with nursing! And hope you will continue with you tube?
As a nurse on the floor I usually didn’t mind having a student nurse however there were days that I just wanted to go in and just do my job without explaining everything to a student because it does slow you down. It’s also unfair to just have the student do all your “dirty work” and not give them the opportunity to learn new skills like IV starts,
Foley and so forth.
I am so proud of you and where you are headed. Wish I could know how Matt is doing.
Thank you! Yes I agree. Last semester I did all the "dirty work" and didn't get to learn any skills. Hopefully this semester will be better :)
So happy to see how far you have come! Ive been watching you since the very first video and the growth is amazing. Keep pushing! Super random but does kota go to a doggy daycare while u are at the hospital? Or is kota good to stay home while you are gone?
Thanks so much I appreciate that! My bf is on opposite schedules than me (he's on nightshifts) so when I'm at school or the hospitals he's at home sleeping with kota and when I'm with kota at home, he's at work lol Worked out perfectly xD
Keep it up! It will be well worth it. I’m a nurse, in hospital administration now. I had my share of crying myself to sleep from exhaustion. (Not to mention, I was pregnant and then had my son while in nursing school). It will be over before you know it.
I needed this after a breakup
aw feel better love
As a nurse and having had students in both the hospital and home health settings with me generally I enjoyed having the students and teaching/explaining as long as the students were engaged and interested. I have had instances where students were very disengaged and basically just wanted to get through the day doing the bare no in and could care less about learning or any of the education- those instances definitely added to the stress level because they could potentially do something incorrectly that could lead to a serious error as well as the nurse having to co-sign and put their license/credentials on the line. Overall it was usually a positive experience though, make sure you ask questions if you don’t know or understand how to do something and be open to learning from the nurse you are with and it can be a very beneficial and positive experience 😊 I will also say it’s not always the student, my experience in nursing school I also had my fair share of nurses that were disengaged and seemed very bothered or just had a bad attitude and complained the whole time which made for very long clinical that was not very beneficial. Good luck with all your clinicals💜
Is this semester your last ? I feel like it might be since your doing accelerated route. Best of luck Kayleigh. I randomly thought of you. We will be here when ur ready and less stressed with school cause ik how hard it is.
When I was bedside, I enjoyed having nursing students who were proactive and helped out. When students would just sit down or just shadow me for every routine thing, it gets old lol
Sounds like you’re at a level 1 or 2 hospital or a university hospital lol that was me 3 years ago had to park three blocks away in a garage far away from the main hospital 🥲 love that you’re documenting your journey
Love the video
I've been practicing as an RN for 7 years and am currently in an NP program. I personally love having students, and I have had them for 5 years. I think I do well with them because I am not afraid to say I don't know something, and that is a quality that I hope all my students learn. I went to nursing school later in life after I had already gone to a 4 year college and graduated and I feel like that helped me retain information because I finally knew how to study! It takes a lot to throw me off my game at work since I've been at the same place for 7 years, and if a student working with me is willing to work and learn, we both get something out of it. I get 2 sets of hands and students get to learn! I always build debrief time in during lunch or at the end of the day so if they have questions that I can't address right then, I can always let them know we will debrief later.
Love that! I hope I have experiences with nurses like you
@@ForeverYours0727 also one of my favorite Dunkin coffees is the Iced breakfast blend with vanilla shot and toasted almond shot with either skim milk or almond milk! Good luck with all your clinicals!
I wish I would have finished my school if so I def would be working in L&D!
I’m an MA in derm….❤️it!
You are looking amazing love watching your vlogs! Yes keep vlogging it’s interesting to hear about your rotations!
Oh I think I'd really like that too! Appreciate the love :)
Great vlog. Love these types of videos.
Glad you like the vlogs! Thanks girl
Hi Kayleigh! Great to see that you’re doing good! I really enjoyed this vlog. What lip combo are you wearing? I’ve been looking for a brown ish lip liner that works on pale skin. A lot of the ones I’ve been trying look like I ate chocolate and it’s on my lips 😂 also I love your workout outfits, would you mind sharing your favorite brands to shop at?? Also… WHAZZAAAA 😂 love you!
Please also share the lip gloss you topped it with on some days!! Looks bomb!!
I love your blog style. Nowadays everyone tries too hard to be the same. Very authentic and real ❤️ been a subscriber since before u met the one who shall not be named lol
Wow u super smart Kayleigh
haha no but trying my best xD Thanks girl
Miss you Kayleigh! Hope you’re doing well.
doing very well girl just stressed trying to finish up school - so much going on at once lol Appreciate you
I understand ❤ so proud of you! Glad you’re okay!
It’s tough having to teach a student when you’re already stressed and stretched thin. BUT when I’ve had students that come prepared to learn and are helpful, it makes me enjoy teaching them. Some tips I can give are: Know your meds (why you’re giving it, side effects, what to look at assessment/labs/etc. before administering). Ask questions when you don’t know (and you’re not going to know a lot of things, and that’s fine, but it shows you’re thinking and interested). If your nurse is busy, ask your instructor to help you. If you have down time, help answer call lights - this helps so much and we all notice who sits around and who is helping. Hope that helps and good luck with clinicals!
Thank you for your input! Totally understand where you're coming from and appreciate your comment!
I don’t think I would be able to work in those units with as much ease as you - at least not right away. You show so much poise in how you handle going to each unit, meet everyone, prepare for everything, etc. Just wanted to say that because it’s not easy to do.
Appreciate your comment - thank you! I never thought about it like that before but I'm happy you brought light to it :)
She is soooo cute extending her paw for you to hold! 😆🤗❤
Hi Kayleigh do you use any pre-workout if so what do you recommend?
Not at the moment! I seem to have a lot of energy in the mornings when I wake up lol I'd rather save my caffeine intake for clinical/classes/studying
I'm curious what you thought about the radonda vaught case. I know your channel isn't about the politics of nursing, but since you're entering the field, I'm curious. Do you feel nervous about entering the field? Do your nursing courses touch on this? Do you feel that she should have been convicted?
Love your channel by the way. You're so well rounded and doing great. ❤
What dressing did you put on your shrimp w/ rice? And where did you purchase it?
It's a left over from pollo tropical when I went with my friends the other day lol It's the garlic sauce
What shoes do you wear or recommend for clinical? I have to buy new ones and don’t know what to get
Brooks I hear are great. I got Nike Kid one's that are very narrow and hard/stiff lol Don't recommend
What car do you drive now, Kayleigh? Love the interior!
Thank you! It's an accord :)
Hey Kayleigh, I miss your vlogs hope you’re doing ok
You should make a protein mug cake I make it every morning soooo good add some peanut butter and fruit ❤️
I do make them sometimes! So good :) How do you make yours?
Hey girl! Been subscribed for years! I was just wondering what little Koda does while you have your long hours out of the house? Just curious as a dog mom too 🤍🤍
My bf is home with her :) We are on opposite schedules so she is never alone!
@@ForeverYours0727 oh yay! I was just curious, I hate leaving my pups alone. 😂😅
@@ForeverYours0727 does he live with you now? that's awesome since you had that scary issue a while back. Has it been ok since?
@@hoofgirl31 It's not him - my bf I've been with for 2 years now is a different person lol

Haha that's awesome girl! Get it done!
Can you share a link for your lunch bag?? Thx
Yes! Here's the link :) bit.ly/3wD6DxM
girl you should go into cometic nursing!you would be so good at microblading, lip fillers, or laser tx and you can make $500-$1K per day!
Thought about that! Would love to shadow a nurse that does it but unfortunately it's not in our rotations xD I hear it's also harder to get those jobs
I haven’t watched fully because I have zero patience but do you think you would be a travel nurse?!idk if that’s the proper name-I missed your meal prep and workout videos
yes i would strongly consider it if after a year of being an RN I send in my applications and I don't get into CRNA school.
I'm in Texas. My mom was doing it for the past several months until recently. With the Covid restrictions lifted here, the pay isn't worth it due to decreasing and then having to pay for lodging. Just cheaper to stay in the home city and commute to one job.
kayleigh i miss ur videos girl... 😢
I miss you so much. I hope you'll have an update soon.
Hello Chrissy
you’re so calming, you’re going to be such a great nurse ❤️ can we be friends?! (all the way from Los Angeles 😅)

What specialty are you hoping to go into?
I'd like to become a CRNA so going into ICU after graduation!
Hello Jessica
Have u done a foley ?
Not yet! Hopefully soon being that I'm in OB now!
I remember I liked ob rotation in nursing school
When I was in labor to have my own child my morning nurse said she was experienced as well for years and made a mess of my vein when drawing blood, she blew my vein plus didn’t know how to collect urine. She also put the Iv bag on the wrong side,So not every nurse is good at skills. Just keep that in mind skills are everything.
LOL!!!!! 😱

What song plays in your video?
I use epidemicsounds website!
hey, what's your height?
you look pretty!!
Ha! Don't even put your little butt cheek on it🤣 I had a feeling you were going to say you had a good workout. I never tried seated cable pulls, wish I had a buddy to workout with just to show me things I am not sure of. Btw, I used to draw blood in the hospital and hated doing the little babies😢
when do you graduate? are we getting a boyfriend q&a soon??
Did you get a new car?!
I did! Perfect for getting me to and from school right now. The jeep always has problems (not the most reliable) so i only use it around town and for kota, not for long distances. And the mustang is manual (sucks driving in traffic) and I don't want to put miles on it as it depreciates it's value.
Where are youuuu Kayleigh
