I'm not seeing any resale bags on Ebay, Poshmark, Fashionphile, (to name a few) that aren't crazy sky high in price. It's quite intimidating to buy second hand for such high prices. However, if one knows the websites and the trusted sellers I can see where it could be a great buy. I also will say that I LOVE your vintage Chanel Jumbo XL!!! The 24 carat gold plated hardware CC is absolutely stunning! The bag has quite a wonderful squared shape and the lambskin is in shiny lovely condition. The only caveat is the flatness of the quilting, but for what you paid and for the vintage beauty, it's sensational!!
For real! The prices are insane but it might be worth it for the better quality and the gold plating 🤩
Yes they seem to be sky high right now due to the price increases, people are looking to vintage instead. Also, I've seen lots of vintage on Instagram etc. which is causing them to become quite popular right now.

I found the vertical quilt vintage Chanel jumbo in much better condition and more complimentary to wear IMO. They are less expensive than the diamond quilt. 💙
I own one in caviar and the condition on the vertical flap is unbelievable. I also bought it before there was a demand for vintage.

I tried a vintage classic flap from 1991 today and I want a vintage one due to the 24k hardware but after seeing it in person and trying it on, I notice how much lighter the chain and bag overall is compared to my medium classic flap from 2015. In a way it felt a little cheaper.
I would like to see at least one vintage Chanel bag that still has some original puffiness. I am not a big fan of a flat quilt, to be honest.
Yes I agree they do go quite flat. Some are in amazing condition but they're quite hard to find now.

I like the vintage style but the bag looks so old and tired. the puffiness of the quilting isnt there anymore, the corners are scuffed, and the bag has become misshapen
I’m not trying to be mean but when is we a Chanel bag that work and puffiness that flat and wrinkle I think of “it needs to be in the trash”!
