Gameplay of Daytona USA 2 Power Edition (Advanced, Hornet Classic, Automatic Transmission) with a steering wheel with force feedback on Supermodel 0.3a-WIP. First time playing.
And yep, supermodel 03a supports widescreen.
To get widescreen just add this to the end of the shortcut/command line:
-res=1920,1080 -fullscreen -wide-screen
Note the minor graphical glitches in the cars' textures and the checkpoint/final lap signs.
We really need to see at least 1 video on youtube of the Hornet on Daytona 2 actually winning in 1st, thumbs up if u agree

it does. i use a Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller (3rd party XBox 360 controller) and i also put some settings for the controller sensitivity, because by default i think it's way too sensitive.
All SCSP audio in v0.2a sounds distorted because the ROMs are incorrectly byte-swapped. This has been fixed in recent builds of v0.3a, which is not officially available but can still be obtained by building from the source code repository (Supermodel is open source and the latest pre-release source code is available to all).
Well, there is the Gran Turismo series that counts down from 24 hours in an Endurance Race. Once the timer runs out, just finish your current lap and the race is over.
Now that you mention it, I COULD be buying a bigger monitor to make good use of my graphic card. I'd better find a bargain or something lol.

What exactly do you mean by "distorted"? It's possible that your computer is not powerful enought to emulate the model3. Try activating multithreading or reducing the screen resolution, and If that doesn't work, you'll have to play the game without sounds at all.

you can also play in 1920x1080 with a Core i5 750, with full framerate.

i have a 22inch LED-backlit monitor and it go up to 1920x1080. Those monitors are cheap-priced now i believe.

my monitor native resolution 1920x1080
XResolution = 1920
YResolution = 1080
FullScreen = 1
WideScreen = 1
+8and Haven't played this thing in years. I use Supermodel UI to select the screen resolution, fiddle with that and you should be able to get what you want.

add this to the end of the shortcut/command line:
-res=1920,1080 -fullscreen -wide-screen
you can change the -res parameter to fit your screen resolution

Can you give the download link to the emulator + the ROM? I couldnt set it up, never got past the network screen

In the menu configuration before the game starts, hold the start button then do the pattern

Then after download, extract with winrar (download from official site)
Then u can download model 3 ui
Also extract with winrar.
Then adjust the configs of the ui
Then download the mame rom
Daytona USA 2: Power Edition
I recommend downloading in
Wowroms and
Coolroms
Also put the mame rom in the file directory where u should put mame roms to be played, after this u can play with keyboards(rawinput)
Xinput(x360 cont) and driving board (dinput) and play.
playing with keyboard needs more practice
