    it is the story of rise and fall of Nan Madol although the re-enactments are from re-enactments of Polynesian history (i think it’s Hawaiian King Kamehameha). what is presented here is not far off of Nan Madol history but it would’ve been cooler if you hadn’t used these re-enactments and rather kept to cgi, sketches or other material/content that you can find that are actually about Nan Madol. i know there isn’t much available but some people may take offense to what you did here due to cultural awareness/sensitivity. one of the often highlighted points about the Isokelekel overthrow of the Saudelaur reign is the act of bravery by one of Isokelekel’s high ranking man, if im not mistaken. it’s said that as the 2 sides fought, Isokelekel’s men retreated. that official rallied Isokelekel’s men from retreating by spearing himself in the foot and into the ground and yelling out something along the lines he wouldn’t retreat any further. his side saw this then fought back and defeated Saudeleur and his men.

    Saudeulur dynasty : dinasti sedulur
    Berarti sedulur (bersaudara)

  • @DBT1007
    @DBT1007 3 роки тому +5

    "Sadulur" disini sepertinya memang bahasa suku utama kita, suku Austronesia. Nenek moyang kita ini berasal dari Pulau Formosa atau Taiwan. Dan skrg Taiwan "dijajah" oleh orang2 Cina dari dataran Asia Timur..
    Sadulur bukan bahasa jawa sepertinya.
    Suku/etnis Austronesia ini nantinya akan beradaptasi di daerah2 yg mereka tempati. Ada yg jadi Melayu, Melanesia, dll. Dan Orang Melayu pun berkembang menjadi orang Melayu asli, Padang, Batak, Jawa, Sunda, dsb. Dan dari suku sunda, terlahir suku betawi. Suku betawi adalah orang2 sunda kasar yg mendapat pengaruh dari berbagai budaya karena banyak orang2 yg mengadu nasib di Jabodetabek atau jaman dulu disebut Batavia atau jaman dulu lagi disebut Jayakarta. Awal munculnya suku betawi mungkin sejak jaman2nya Jayakarta.
    Dan itu hanya sebagian kecil dari perkembangan etnis/suku Austronesia. Etnis Melanesia sendiri juga berkembang menjadi beberapa jenis etnis/suku. Makanya orang Sulawesi dan orang Papua itu beda. Orang Papua dan orang Hawaii itu beda. Dll.
    Edit: Btw, utk org id yg heran "kenapa pake bahasa indonesia?", yaa karena pemilik channel ini adalah orang indonesia.

    Soo, the basalt for the reef structures was transferred across open ocean on dug out catamarans and then worked into buildings with stone tools ? Hmmmm, there are local ledgends that explain Nan Madols creation a bit differently, I guess Academia considers them children's stories. But stone tools and Catamarans, pretty outlandish as well .

    Disastrous explanation of Nan Madol. Naked men with chiesels and ropes building temples to worship gods in the middle of nowhere. There is a connection with Gunung Padang. This City was made in an age with a lower sea level. You have to consider the continental platform as non submerged land and then everything gets connected to a very old civilization.

    It is shameful that National Geographic have made up this mishmash of Polynesian and Micronesian cultures, to virtually end in a battlefield scene from Lord of the Rings. The weight of these millions of basalt 'logs' are so immense, it defies understanding of how this megalithic culture came into being. After numerous visits to the Bishop Museum in Hawaii, and visiting Nan Madol twice, I have come to the conclusion that this area punch's the back end of the Bible right back to over possibly 20,000 years ago. There is also Yonaguni Island, one of the Yaeyama Islands being the westernmost inhabited island of Japan. Where sunken antediluvian remnants of a civilisation remain. We have to be far more curious than leaving academics and intellectuals cozy in the air conditioned offices - to control the narrative.
