They are a great crawler if you only have one,you got the right one definitely hook up both servos for dig and over drive you won't be sorry.give the stock body one of your patina paint jobs it will look awesome, leave the interior out for a lower center of gravity
Oh yeah you’re gonna love it, I have the VS4-10 Pro, been driving it for three years still ain’t broke nothing lost a screw here or there Yep you’re gonna love it dude yeah we’re here watching 👍👍😎
I run the HobbyWing FusionPro 2300's in all of my crawlers and trail trucks. They are worth every penny. I also use Reef's servos in everything. They're bulletproof and powerful.
The Fusion is a pretty sweet system. The program card works the same as the 1080 with a couple different settings. I have one in a crawler, one in a Tamyia semi and one in a converted Bruder Mack snowplow.
I’ve got both a straight axle and portal phoenix. I have had trouble with dirt getting into the transmission around the shift levers on both. I highly recommend cutting the shift levers off just after the set screws and putting block-off plates over them. The Proline 1985 Toyota extended cab is the perfect size to bolt to the Phoenix plastic cage and act as a direct replacement for the big FJ cab.
You really should set up the dig its alot of fun and it chages everyhing when crawling also just my opinion i deff would consider a bigger steering servo ,
The vanquish kits are very nice, I've no interest in a vehicle that won't struggle it's way over a pebble though...As for a body? Anything but a proline power wagon...maybe a lexan 4runner or something?
4:50 I think you missed a bearing in the pinion gear here. Maybe not but worth noting it’s commonly missed and cause problems if so. If you get back in it for the hardened gears maybe a good time to do this too and prevent gear breakage down the road.
I missed a lot of things building this. I did go back once I realized it. Had the wrong sized bearings in the front portals, 2 or the trans gears are the same size but one is deeper than the other. I have tested in since this video and it is working perfectly. There were a few steps in the instructions I’d have done differently lol
May not like the fusion in the vanquish, holmes hobbies is a good motor if ya change down the road. Glad to see you get another linked rig , and didn't you have the rc4wd linked truck??
If you want it to really perform, lock out the od in 30%. I know your way more scale, so don't fight the process, just use the performance the give you. 😉
@@RCeveryday Oh, great. I thought I could use it as a driver figure for my Phoenix Vanquish. But the figure can't bend the legs and such. Many thanks though.
@@RCeverydayYou should get a dedicated set of shock pliers. I have a pair from ProTekRC and they're fantastic. They even work great for assembling steering and suspension rod ends.
After watching the video, it has made me think I wouldn't mind one for hardcore crawling. But if you wanted to run a hard body on it, want about the 85 SR5 Hilux with a bobbed tray, just a thought?
I think you should definitely put the rock lights on, it'll add more scale to it while looking cool AF. 👍👍
i love the fusion system i have a few of them in trucks. awesome setups save a lot of space on the chassis as well
You should build it with the servos and all of its capability!!

It’s definitely a tank of a crawler; I’ve put about 40 miles on mine and still going strong
J'adore ce que tu fais 😮

To make that worthwhile you should find a program box for hobbywing system, it makes a difference for servo power..
Get the rc4wd 4door Toyota Tacoma (Z-B0169), it’s lexan body, I think you would like it!

go hard body all the way i have 3 vs410 . cant get away from scale i love all scale build
If you are going for a full-on crawler setup, are you planning to go with an LCG type chassis eventually?
May not like the fusion in the vanquish, holmes hobbies is a good motor if ya change down the road. Glad to see you get another linked rig , and didn't you have the rc4wd linked truck??
YEah, I still have my old red TF2 thats linked. Still my favorite rig

The OD was miscalculated by VP, its about 46 percent. Unusable, stick to the stock 6 percent.
The vs410 is more of a trail/scale truck to me. Awesome trucks though!
I don't use the dig much but the adjustable over drive and 2wd is awesome!!!
Nice build. Can you say where did you buy the scale figure standing there at the end?
That my Bob Ross figure. I got him on amazon. There is a link in the video description to my affiliate store I have him in there.

Hahahaha i forgot the hardened gears as well. Ive saved them though. Both of my phoenixs run 4s without issues! One has a 1410 castle 3800kv🤣🤣🤣
use micro servos gives you more room for interior i made lots of them on my work laser and brake
Hey try the blazer body on it
Wrong wheelbase bud.
Do you wanna sell the hardened gears?
I did already
Please look into your inner ratrod and come up with something that is YOU pretty please 🙏 🎉
Watching you put needle nose pliers on the shock shafts make me cringe.
😂😂 I cringed while doing it

put one of your rat bodies on it
it's not.
traxxas is much better
