The 'All Hope Is Gone' album that this song is from is the band's most political album, with most of the songs having lyrics to do with America and their war in the Middle East. The title track is another example, and musically is one of the heaviest the band has ever done being almost straight-up death metal.
honestly i’m just now getting into slipknot and this is one of my favorite albums so far, especially this song! definfitely wasnt expecting it to be so thrashy
most people are just going off of the bands opinion on the album. corey stated that this is the bands least favorite album because it was rushed, but i personality love the it so much and they executed every song on that album perfectly and doesnt feel rushed one bit
Im 3 years late to this but the adlibs for "WE WILL BURN YOUR CITIES DOWN." The reason why its so deep is cause chris fehn, clown and im pretty sure paul together with corey do the "down" part which makes the tone super deep
This is something you would’ve expected from any of the first 3 albums. It’s really the only song they’ve made since their 3rd album that I actually f w/ hard. Very technical for Slipknot like the first album was. But when they screw it up and slow it down metal style? There’s nothing that makes my aura push out more energy from within, than when I hear that part.
I discovered Slipknot one year ago and there is always something strange for me with Corey's voice (I really really love his voice). When I listen to songs like these (and Liar's Funeral in particular), the first thing I think of is : how a voice like that can come out of such a small body ?
Hey man, love your videos. It's awesome to witness you falling for Slipknot, and Corey. If you haven't yet, you should react to "The Shape" it's a absolute banger and disgustingly underrated.
30/30/150 is the opening track of Come Whatever May and its about him as well! My favorite Stone Sour record! Also Gematria is one of the most underrated songs they havent played live. The guitar riffs are probably my favorite they have ever done. If they played this live it would go off! My favorite lyric of this song is "The time of the nine has begun, get out of the way or you'll suffer as one!" Love the unity in that line! He does it in the song Scream as well!
Please react to Slipknot-DILUTED I have not seen any reaction videos to this particular song! It’s an O.G from the first album a hidden Gem in my opinion
AHIG is my favorite Slipknot album! The arrangements and lyrics are so powerfull! Hope they will play live most of their underrated songs from this album soon! 🤘🏽
Always gets me when People say this Album was "bad". Even in my eyes it's their worst album musically, but there's so much fucking great shit going on here. The Lyrics are so good and there are many songs on this album you can interpret in any possible direction. I know that they always did that but with the political themes going on there's much more to think about when it comes to reading those lyrics. I think my biggest issue with the Album is just that there were many songs that sounded so similar but we're worse than others before them, so it kinda feels generic musically overall, even tho this album still of course has its different sounds to it. But I love Corey's Growl on it and that's why it still is pretty iconic. Every time you hear this growl you just know that's 2008's All Hope Is Gone.
although 'all hope is gone' is the band and many fans the least favorite album, to me, it was really special at the time because corey brought back his low vocals (even lower than the debut and even iowa albums) after years of screaming in his high pitched vocals....since 2003 actually...it was kind of 'omg they/he's back!'
all hope is gone has one of the biggest bangers which is strangely why it's not liked "generic rock" like idk I like the heaviness and variety of this album a lot
You gotta watch the making of this album, the guitar you liked was all Mick Thomson and see him recording this song. He's a beast. Also next song you need to listen to is Purity. One of they're best.
Fun fact: They don't play this song live, simply because they hate their own album, All Hope Is Gone. Not only that, the song is far too complex and they can't remember it.
Loved the first album, it's SO GOOD. The debut EP was also great. The next album was really good too but they completely lost me after that. And no, it's not just because the singer left. Totally changed their musical style and it just wasn't for me.
The “rapping” thing is what makes nu metal what it is...true Numetal though, not limp bizkit The vocals are layered. So he’ll record himself with the low scream/growl more than once and that’s why they sounded that way
One of their most underrated songs ever. So damn hard from start to finish it just slaps.
Slipknot is fucking nuts I fucking love this band
Yes, that’s Corey Taylor’s birthday.

Idk why so many people hate on this album I absolutely fucking love it.
Probably the Republicans that the album was dissing 😂

Praise the gods. He reacted to my favorite Slipknot song. 🤘
YES!!!
That was awesome, dude. the next one has to be "Critical Darling"... an excellent song
Im 3 years late to this but the adlibs for "WE WILL BURN YOUR CITIES DOWN." The reason why its so deep is cause chris fehn, clown and im pretty sure paul together with corey do the "down" part which makes the tone super deep
All hope is gone is like a mature Iowa.

Yay Slipknot Saturday!!
... maybe on you next poll you can include “Critical Darling “...
Slipknot has never played this song live, the beginning part is a bitch to play on guitar haha and basically the whole song is a bitch to play 😂
Yep, im 6 months older than Corey. One of the most underrated Slipknot songs. I think cause its in a documentary that they hated it
The guitar by Mick is f*cling dope too
THIS COLD BLACK - SLIPKNOT
12/8/73 is Corey's birthday
If you havent done Wait and Bleed that is one of the original bangers. Also The Devil in I is a fookin amazing tune.

Nice vibeo . And good morning from Greece

I Love this song, one of my favorites from Slipknot
Gematria is a hidden gem. Speaking of hidden gems, try the song “Dirty” by American Head Charge. That band needs some love. 🤘
If Rain Is What You Want pleaseeee
i agree, 8:14 is probably my favourite verse from slipknot ever
Sorry about your struggles.
Your hard work is much appreciated!
Best Slipknot song, hands down.

AHIG is my favorite Slipknot album!
The arrangements and lyrics are so powerfull! Hope they will play live most of their underrated songs from this album soon! 🤘🏽
73 is 48 years ago as my dad is 48 and was born 1973
React to the title track "all hope is gone" by slipknot .. it kills 🤘
This is my favorite song
What you like is a tempo change or "break down" makes shit seem heavier! Love them!
On this album were the best riffs from Slipknot tbh

I like most of AHIG but .5 or WANYK are definitely at the bottom of my list
Nice reaction
Yes Corey's birthday

Next slipknot Saturday try I am hated from lowa
Man, you should do Gehenna by them, it's great as well.
We did it❤️🤝
Corey's voice is up there as far as octave range and distortion in metal and music in general
Not their best album front to back but this song is top 3 for me. A masterpiece.
Volume up!!!!!
Fun fact: They don't play this song live, simply because they hate their own album, All Hope Is Gone. Not only that, the song is far too complex and they can't remember it.
Metabolic pls 🥺🥺🤟✌️
It is Corey's birthday 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great reaction dude, check out All Hope Is Gone off same album!
Awesome
You should take a look Sylosis. "Teras" is amazing song
Yes please, I recently found that band this year and that band is good
Loved the first album, it's SO GOOD. The debut EP was also great. The next album was really good too but they completely lost me after that.
And no, it's not just because the singer left. Totally changed their musical style and it just wasn't for me.
@@PiousMoltar they should find a soloist cause josh middleton plays for both sylosis and architects
@@PiousMoltar that's very tiring for him
@@PiousMoltar josh is singer and guitarist in sylosis

YAY!
You should react to Asking Alexandria - Reckless and Relentless
The ad libs r the other percussionists...clown and fehn...there r 9...they laid vocals too...
Loved this slipknot Saturday even tho we didnt get sulfur I enjoyed it nonetheless
Hopefully next Saturday!
Couldn't you have just streamed the original blocked video? Or would it have gotten immediately blocked as well?
Please do ALL HOPE IS GONE
You should react to "Slipknot - Til We Die | Most emotional Music video" Pleeeeease 🙏
Slipknot - Prosthetic please
It's pronounced Gematria, hope that helps 👍🤘
Please react to the song Iowa
gently... please
you need to hear cowboys from hell by pantera
This is the only song from this album that I really like
You should react to Alice In Chains. Probably a famous song and then react to Love, Hate, Love from them. You'll freak out
AIC is GOAT, Cantrell is the best songwriter ever in my book
Rap music? Gematria is thrash metal
do scissors next!
First
✅
Damn bro you paused at the best fing part again!!!! Come on bro
Keep in mind that I don't know what's coming up. Also, if there are no breaks in the song then it's more likely to get blocked.
@@KurtisB ok I understand that, what if you rewind 10 seconds every time you pause would that make a difference?
Sulfur isn’t the best song, sucks you couldn’t post it
