Dark Slavic music... Remember where vampires come from... contrary to popular Dracula stories (very young in fact), not from any Romania, of course. Even contemporary word "vampir" comes from Old-Polish term "wąpierz". Just like werewolves (not just people changing to dangerous animals, known in many cultures, but that specific half-man beasts on two legs), vampires are creatures from Slavic mythology.
You can find word Vampire in all Slavic languages. There are lots of written information on Serbian villagers digging out corpse's to drive a stake through it. Well... just putting this out there, you do know romanian, like any other language, has 3 main layers - the three pillars which mainly contributed to its creation. One is slavic. The second highest percentage of words inherited from other languages in the romanian vocabulary is slavic (15%), only beat by the 70% of romanic descent. Aaaaand Dracula is the product of an irishman's rich imagination (Bram Stoker :) ).
