  • This is a video of my wife and I using Henry 555 LevelPro to level our 132 sq. ft. laundry room floor in preparation for installing porcelain tile. This was a challenging project for two do-it-yourselfers. Planning well ahead of time is mandatory because of the short working time of the leveling compound. I also show how to prepare the floor before using the LevelPro. The laundry room is in a house built in 1947 so nothing is square, plumb, level or true. It had hardwood on top of 1" x 6" oak diagonally placed subfloor boards. Areas of the floor were as much as an inch low. If you are thinking about doing this yourself it will be well worth your time to watch this entire video to see what you are getting into.

Damn good video. Pouring this stuff requires so much preparation and effort. I'm glad you showed the imperfections at the end. I used a putty knife to scrape away the un-mixed pockets on the surface.

a job very well done. very professional. you obviously got some good advice, did or do this for a living, or just studied this like it was the bar exam.

Thanks for watching and your nice comment. This actually was the fourth time I have done this, but only for our own house. One of the reasons I like to do these videos is that I always review other people’s videos and online information before starting a new project. Sharing what I learned plus my own contributions is my way of giving back.

How many bags did you use for that area?

I could not remember, but I was able to look at my video and I had eight bags and eight buckets of water lined up in the porch and ready to go. That was the fourth time we had done a levelling project like that and running out of material in the middle of a levelling project is a big problem so I recommend buying a couple of extra bags. You can return them to the store if you don’t need them.

This product is terrible, I used it and it did not self level, it set up within 2 minutes after pouring it from bucket after the 2 minutes of mixing. Followed the directions to a T and it was not fluid at all. Waste of money and time
