I was a Boyscout and I realized 1 day my muscle memory had been tying a granny knot THIS WHOLE TIME!! Which is fine for camping and small applications but now I have to retrain myself to always do a square knot (what I thought I was doing) because there really is no reason to ever use a granny knot!

Maybe try raking with a stiff metal pronged rake and then run the magnet down the driveway again, good luck!

Simply - these water heaters suck: have replaced thermistors three times, have replaced fan once, have added factory provided foam sound dampening once, the 50 gallon model cannot keep up with demand from 3 to 4 people.... The list goes on. I know set my water heater on to High Demand simply to accommodate my wife and I. Will be replacing the unit (second unit) shortly.
Thanks for sharing your experience. They probably should send a technician to put brand new parts in everyone they have sold. It’s not like you can easily remove it and take it back to the store.

This isn’t a charger issue it’s a utility issue. I’m on a time of use program with my utility but first of it’s peak time doesn’t roam around. Off peak it midnight to 8am all year. That they are adjusting for time of year must mean you have a lot of electric heating by you. And for that kind of astronomical rate increase then your utility isn’t very well resourced capacity wise. On my program and others on neighboring utilities are very similar to a 7 cents per kWh off peak, 13cents intermediate and 20cents at high peak. I’d switch to candles if I had to live by you.
Thanks for your comment. I received a notice that our power company was going to a time of day schedule. I could not see any specific info on how I was doing during the peak time and found out since we have grid tied solar it did not apply to us. It made my wife happy, but they should have let us know.
Why does hot water need to be heated? Inquiring minds, and all...
Thanks for watching. If you can give me some more detail on your question I will try to answer it.
Great video, simple and to the point.
Thank you.
Make sure you have enough air flow through the heater. Restricted air flow will blow those thermistors.
Thanks for watching and your comment.
Well done. If i may i would like to use your video in my lessons. What your demonstration/experiment clearly shows is how a bullet reacts with crosswinds. You have extremely well presented the evidence that the magnus effect is what deflects a bullet from its reaction with the crosswind and not the wind alone which pushes the bullet. If you did the experiment with the crosswind and compared with and without the spin you would see the effect of applying the crosswind greatly changing both elevation and an increase in lateral movement left or right depending on direction of the wind
Thanks for watching and your comment.
There was a bad run off thermistor which is why they are a different color

We H.A.T.E this hybrid water heater. Would not recommend this model and type. Constant error codes, nobody can work on them, blows cold air in garage. Hate hate hare this machine. Will be swapping back to regular electric water heater as soon as I am able. And just for the record...it is 3 years old installed in new construction. Nothing but problems.
I can appreciate everything you said. Rheem needs to modify their design if they haven’t done so already. The blowing cold air would be the case with any water heater running in heat pump mode and this is why some people run exhaust ducts out of the house. I wanted the heat pump not only for efficiency, but it doubles as a dehumidifier for our basement we are digging. You can save yourself some grief by simply using the controls on the unit or the Econet app and run it in “electric” only. It is a perfectly good and capable electric resistance water heater in that mode so no need to replace it.
Yes, we have taken to running it in electric. Had to convince hubby it is fine to do that....because the manual says to only run it in electric during maintenance. Did I mention I hate this machine? Also used a shopvac to blow out the condenser line that was plugged and causing water to back up. Does you filter ever freeze up solid? Ours does all the time. Usually get an a006. Can't even pull it out, it is full of ice. Just an awful, awful, machine. Had to replace condenser motor and thermocouple 6 months after install. Searched 400 mile radius for someone to fix it. No such luck. Begged a friend ...hvac experience ... to change the parts. Hate this machine. 😒
@@debbiebecker2696 When heat pumps work properly they save a lot of electrical power compared to standard electrical resistance water heaters, however, in your case for your emotional and mental well being it may be worth replacing it with a standard electrical resistance water heater. If you haven’t spoken directly with a Rheem technician I would recommend you do before totally giving up to see what they can do under warranty. Good luck. I understand your frustration. There wasn’t a qualified repair person near us either so I did all of my own work. The local Home Depot’s are selling a lot of them so it also may be worth talking to one of the Home Depot plumbing pros.
As easy as that.❤❤❤

It happened to us. Now we can’t get hot water. Is there fix?
Can you give me more information. Is your problem due to a plasma ball affecting the solenoid switch in the faucet like I had or did something else affect it. Since the handle will manually over ride the electronic switch make sure it is fully closed in the electronic position. Alternatively you should be able to manually over ride it by moving the faucet handle to the right and up or down for hot or cold water. If you can’t get hot water in manual you probably have some problem with the faucet. Make sure you didn’t forget to turn on both the hot and cold water supply lines under the sink.
That's awesome! Thanks! Was trying to figure out how to make ropes stiffer for use as a flip line for climbing trees!

This has helped me a great deal. My hands were cracked, sore, with open cracks, it was painful to just close my fist, I decided to give this a try because we all probably have these gloves around the house. Thanks for doing this. I have had chains on cars for years and these are not the easiest to install. I put these chains on my Cybertruck yesterday just to get some practice. Once you connect the blue cord behind the tire its critical to have the chains centered (easier said than done). I had the blue cord too high on the back tire so the chains first hung too low. I think you had the opposite problem. It looks like you had the blue cord so low on the back of the tire it was impossible to link the red clips on top front of the tire. But you got it done with the chains centered and mostly on the rubber.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.

An other option is latex tubing. It is used to do very much the same thing but to hold lure together. You can put a slit in the wall close to the end and use that to create a loop in the end of the tubing to wrap around the end of the temples (arms). I got some good ideas.
Thanks for watching and contributing your idea.

So did your copper rot out yet r o through copper usually eats it up with in six months to a year
Not yet, but you are correct about it being a potential problem.
I thought the visualizations are not used by FSD and just because something doesn't show on the screen doesn't mean that FSD isn't aware of it. Still interesting to see how the current camera setup works. Also wish it had a bumper cam on each side.
The very fact that we don’t know what FSD sees through the cameras is a problem because it causes mistrust and anxiety.
Good job with this video! You are asking questions we all have about Tesla's ambitious plans for autonomous driving!! In their defense, I'm quite sure the cameras can see further than what is rendered on your screen. (That's just a limitation of screen real estate!) I really agree with your idea about Tesla adding more cameras to the front bumpers. That would make me feel much more comfortable about the car making unprotected left turns in to speeding traffic. I know Tesla doesn't want to use radar or lidar to keep costs down, but at least if they added three cameras to the nose, left, and right bumpers, I would be much more confident in their Robotaxi plans!!
Thanks for your comments. I want Tesla to be successful with FSD. Another concern I have is the large tree not rendering as a tree. If you are driving on a highway and a situation develops where you have to make a quick maneuver to avoid a collision with a vehicle and you have the choice of going off road and hitting a large tree or hitting fence posts you should take the fence posts since hitting a large tree at highway speeds is likely to be fatal. FSD will have to rapidly make those kinds of decisions, but it can’t if it doesn’t even know a tree is there. Since the cost of lidar is significantly lower now than when Tesla first seriously began developing autonomy they should consider adding it. If the traffic renderings had the position and velocity of every object that the car could encounter it would help alleviate the anxiety we now have since we have no choice, but to assume FSD sees everything and will react appropriately.
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
Why not leave those samples out in the sun for a while, and then use an IR thermometer to find the one that stays the coolest?
That is a great idea! Thanks
I think I'd shy away from IR on this unless it's done from the bottom. The difference here is probably small, and when looking for the item with the greatest reflectivity you inherently are going to get a lot of deviation of the emissivity of the surface.

Wow! I thought maybe you put a decimal in the wrong place or something, but no, you didn't. $13/kwh for the highest hour of use during peak hours each month. And the peak hours change with the seasons. Totally confusing, impossible to program in advance. This really seems like a classic "gotcha" penalty. Good job, Blue Ridge Electric Co-op, you have earned this years Grinch award.

Is it the PVC conduit all the way to the house? If so, how deep did you go with it?
Yes, 1 1/2” PVC from the charging station pole to the breaker panel box in the house. I buried it a minimum 18” deep. I used larger conduit than necessary in case I wanted to pull some more cable in the future. It is reduced to 3/4” PVC at the charging station pole. It is important to use the wet rated THWN cables because if the conduit ever leaks the water will probably stay in it.
Thanks for the heads up. I have a relative who is in the process of putting a charging station in, so I'll advise them to check all features including the double bump to avoid the higher rates on their power bill.
Thanks for watching and your comment.
Was that double pump in the manual?
I found this way down in the app help menu after I learned about it. I had not seen it previously. “How do I charge right away if I’m on a schedule? If you have a charging schedule set and need to charge immediately, just plug in, unplug and plug back in within a few seconds to start charging right away.”
