As far as covers go, Russia and Romania's version are the best of the songs that adapted the American opening song. Czechs version sounds like they grabbed two randos in the office to shout into the mic. And of course, Italy gets top marks for making their own theme song when they could've just done what every other country did.
My personal bets (from favourite to least) 1) Russian (great vocalists, sounding as it was performed by both man and woman, and passionate tone on the opening) 2) English (the original song that I can understand its lyrics, as well as the first opening that I took a liking) 3) Polish (great solo, later accompanying it with a perfect performer) 4) Hungarian (great duo carrying all of the opening without putting so much vocal range in the tone) 5) Danish (same as the Hungarian) The other languages might were good on their parts, but sounded like a failed imitation of the English opening in their native language (trying to synthesize the lyrics and the melody into the country's native language [which is hardly to be accomplised] and keep up with the tone of the opening [I can give them credit for finding a way to dub their song], putting so much unnecessary vocal range in several parts of the opening, being a phonetic choir similar to the English opening, and reaching a level of cringing yelling that sounds like a screech) And, of course, the Italian opening is on a different story and category on its own. It's one of the best original openings I would hear from an anime. Cudos to the Italian singer for performing it.
I grew up in Poland but i didn't watch this show all that much, mostly because it tended to resonate with people I didn't like, but I still liked the intro. Now, with a proper comparison I can appreciate it even more.

well you can compare the fact that is on another level...the other one has the classic basic strutcure of all the american cartoon/animes openings...the italian one is just good music overall besides being an anime opening.
French wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for the terrible synchronization of singers' voices. They just sound terrible together. They should have stuck to one and it'd sond great.
What I don't like is that, despite their legendary hostility to almost everything English, they didn't even translate "king" to "roi" even though it e.g. would rhyme with "toi".

There's absolutely no autotune, it's just the voices are unusual. The guy who sings the main part voices a bunch of characters. And nothing changes in terms of timbre. The syllables in the Russian version are perfectly in rhythm, and the mixing is done at a high level. I'm odd that you don't like it.
