@@crackhead4158 it’s really good for the most part. It definitely is one of the best options I’ve used. I’m short (5.5) though and not really fat but I’m stout (200 + or minus 5) . Sitting down my shirt gets hung and exposes the gun, it can be hard to get clipped on your belt, and tends to get caught when you take it off. It’s great while I’m walking, standing, or what not. It’s ok when I’m sitting but not great and is a little uncomfortable, but it I were taller I imagine it would be good. I carry with it at the 2 o’clock and 5 o’clock positions typically. Definitely get the arm for it, that definitely makes a difference. I still prefer my leather Amazon holster for carrying with shorts or if I carry in the front appendix area.
This video might have just changed everything for me! I own a lot of vedder holsters and I do mean a lot! I purchased two of them for my Springfield hellcat so that I could remove one of their clips and replace it with a ulti clip. One of them is set up for dress clothes now while the other one is set up for standard carry. That leaves me with one extra small clip that I am going to try to put on my Glock 19 holster that is light bearing! The long clip put my Glock 19 so low with the tlr7 that it was just too wide and long for me to comfortably carry appendix. I cannot wait to get home from work today and try this and I will report back!
It's official! I put the smaller clip on and I can say with all certainty that I can carry my Glock 19 appendix comfortably! What a difference!!! Thank you thank you thank you!! As someone who is vertically challenged it is a game of inches and this just gave me the small amount of room I needed!

New sub, Thanks for the well produced and informative video! I have the same problem as you with getting a full grip on my pistols no matter which brand of IWB holster I have tried. I have spend NUMEROUS hours on line looking at IWB holsters offered by NUMEROUS holster manufacturers and not only do their holsters all look the same but they all have the same issue, which is inadequate ride height. The short-clip shown in your video will solve the ride height issue for me...Why the Hell didn't I think of that??? LOL!!! Thank you!
I usually end up taking my holsters to a bench grinder/dremel anyways. I like to trim any excess material from near the trigger guard, much like they did here on yours. I also scavenge clips from any one of the hundred I’ve bought and didn’t like before I toss them so I’ve got options. Got one on the way and I’ll see how it goes, the black arch I prefer isn’t available with light bearing shell and their LB option is like 50$ more than the Vedder for essentially the exact same thing in basic black also.
I can think of better weapons to go appendix with a light attached. The Glock 30sf is a little chunky then add a light and maybe it's too big for the role. I can IWB with my m9A1 in a Vedder light tuck. It is comfortable and secure with the Vedder cobra belt. I wouldn't go with a light on it either.
I got the same holster for g19, it's pretty disappointing,it doesn't click when i holster the firearm, and when it's holstered i can fit my fingers into the trigger guard and can even pull the trigger. Still waiting for an email back from these fellas.
I have been on a iwb holster bender for the last year or so and staying around the $40-$60. I have several I like and a couple I love but I have issues similar to what you have discussed here. I bought a Vedder Light tuck for my P365XL with Holosun 507K X2 and it was supposed to be cut for my optic but I had to take almost a 1/4” off of it for the tigger guard to reach deep enough in the holster for proper retention. When I was trying to modify it to fit with a die grinder to make it fit, the die grinder slipped out of my hand and it grabbed the holster and slung it across my shop. Which I know is my fault for trying to modify it, my claw broke in the process. The area around the trigger guard snapped off on one side when I fell on ice in the driveway so I don’t use it anymore. I loved the minimalist aspect of it and it was the most comfortable one I had, but I learned from this also. NowI have a bench grinder with some super soft cloth wheels from McMaster/Carr that I use to fully debur the edges of the kydex if one has a rough spot. And it polishes kydex to an almost “melted” smoothness. I’ve been debating on which holster I want to buy next, I want to give vedder another chance because my first experience was doomed from the start, your video seems to show the company does care about their customers and is willing to do what is needed to correct any issues. Perhaps I should’ve contacted them in the beginning before trying to take care of it myself. Great content as always and hope all is well
I returned mine months back because the belt clip wasn’t aligned with the claw. It was also hard to grab the gun the same as you. When I would can’t the belt clip I could grab it, but it didn’t fix the alignment of the claw. The claw was not able to sit flush behind the belt no matter what.
Vedder does have a communication problem. I have sent a number of Emails inquiring about a holster they do not list for an HK. No response to any Email.
Yeah I thought I ordered a holster cut for a red dot sight. My pf940c doesn't fit with a Burris ff3. Luckily I need a holster for my other pf940c that doesn't have an optic

So something’s negative reviews are good and to see the company get a hold of you and fix that means everything. Now I can’t wait to get my 43x so I can go there and check out their holsters
I have a Vedder HK USP 45 Full size IWB..not many people if any makes an IWB for a usp..I also just got one for a Styer M9A1..mine was fine..but nice review
Just ran across this review (I went and looked at the original also). I ordered the light tuck holster. Luckily I didn’t have any of the problems your original one did as far as the mold shifting or the cuts not being right. I love my Vedder holster. But I do have the same problem you had with the clip. At it’s lowest setting, it’s way too close to the belt line and I can’t get a good purchase on the grip. Looks like I’ll have to order the short clip. Other than that, it’s made very well. I even bought their OWB light draw with pancake clips. Another well made holster. I also have their Cobra quick release belt.
36 year old first time carrier here. I finally got my cart permit in nj and my Vedder holster and belt in the mail. Holy hell carying is not comfortable. I thought it would feel smoother. Any tips?
I have a ton of tips. Are you a big guy? Borderline fat? Really skinny? What position are you trying to carry at? Size of your pistol? Carrying can change based on each of those questions. I'll try to help as I can.
I just received my 1st Vedder Light Tuck holster and am disappointed with how it fits and this video confirms my initial thoughts. The damned clip is so long the holster is buried too deep in my pants and I have to fight to clear the gun. I'll contact them and see what they say or return it for a refund. I also bought a G-Code Incog and it's fantastic but no light bearing options.
Check in to Werkz. That's where I have landed as my favorite holster thus far. But yea, I'm super disappointed in Vedder. I can only assume that the people who run Vedder holsters don't train from the holster often.
I had 2 stealthgear holsters and they were great. Problem is they they sweat u will feel it. If u have belly fat on the side it will curve your holster down. And last if fabric on the inside of holster rips stealthgear doesn't sell them. I don't think to buy another holster for $100.00 each. Lesson learned. I'm thinking of comfort. Does Vedder dig into your skin ? What about WE THE PEOPLE holster ?
I just ordered it. This was almost a year ago. They may or may not sell it anymore. I don't know. Have you considered We The People? They make good holsters and have light and optic-ready options.
Maybe you can answer this. I have the light tuck Vedder Holster. How does it feel when you appendix carry ❓🤔. For me no matter how I set the ride height⁉️ Just not working the way I want. You mentioned about clips. Could that be 1 to point the finger @.
Everyone is obviously different, which is why I rarely talk comfort or concealability. But for me, the ride height needs to allow me to get a full grip on the pistol. In appendix position, I also will wear my belt a bit looser for when I sit down. It could be a cross between those for you, or neither one. But that’s the best I’ve got with the information provided.
Do you think the lightuck causes wear on the firearm ? I know holster wear is to be expected but I haven’t heard many reviews mentioning wear on the slide or anything
Great review and I think you have helped me make my decision. Just one question are you familiar with the On Your 6 design holster and if so what is your opinion. It’s relatively the same as Vedder except for a few features which I don’t think would be a big issue for the money. Like $35 bucks. I don’t like the plastic clip for one thing on it. Please respond and thanks for sharing.👍
If you have a compensator on your gun would you need to order the flashlight option for it to fit? Or would it fit just like it would fit originally without a compensator?
Am I the only one nervous about the gap around the trigger guard to accommodate for the light? Not a vedder specific issue, all light bearing holsters I’ve seen have it
I have had some issues with different brands of IWB LB holsters for my Glock 23 w/ TLR-1. The main issue with how uncomfortable it is to sit down when carrying. I use a strong side carry (never cared for appendix) does this have the same issue or has anyone else not experienced this? Thank you
Will that holster fit with a NCstar weapon light? it looks like it sits about like the streamlight you have and about an inch past the front of the gun.
Doesn’t really help that you have gigantic bear claws for hands! LOL! Joking aside, it was a really great review and I’m a huge fan of vedder holsters as well.
Question: Where is the retention pressure on that holster? That is, the point of pressure on indentation that holds with weapon inside the holster. Is it on the light, like pressure on some point on the outside body of the light, which would be bad? Or is it on the inside of the trigger guard, which would be good? Thanks.
@@RTTGunsGear Thanks for the info. Wish there was another way to do it. But as long as the light is wider than the trigger guard (the inside of which is the best place to put retention indentation), doesn't look like there is any other way to do it, unless you put it on the back end of the slide. Looking for a holster for a G43X with a TLR-8 G. Vedder says they don't yet have one. But I'm guessing it won't be too long before they do, since they are becoming so popular.

I also have their Cobra quick release belt.
great holster but the clip is a big problem. Great for concealment but can't get a good grip on the draw.
What do you think about the Houston gun host
Never heard of her.
I had to order the short clip as well in order to draw without banging my finger into my belt.
@@RTTGunsGear Thanks I'll check them out.. I'm expecting them to reply with a link to their website and telling me to but the Short Clip.
RTT, what do u think is the best IWB holster for a Glock g26?
Have 2 of them. Thank you :)
I would not suggest We The People or Vedder. My suggestions would be Werkz, Tulster (OATH), or KnightFall Customs
@@RTTGunsGear thank u for the reply. I will look it those holsters. I never heard of them before. Again thank u.
How does this compare to the Werkz M6 IWB? What is your edc for IWB holster?
Great video as usual. Thanks !
Oh, the Werkz is a better holster in every way. Build quality, comfort, concealment, fit and finish..everything.
Great video, but if I could only have one for my P320 RXP XCompact with red dot
Where did you get the better clip?
From Vedder
@@RTTGunsGear I see it now, thank you
How did you get a light bearing vedder holster? Those aren’t on their website I think
I just ordered it. This was almost a year ago. They may or may not sell it anymore. I don't know. Have you considered We The People? They make good holsters and have light and optic-ready options.
I have one, and I like that the clip does not "BILLBOARD" the brand or the fact that Im carrying a pistol in my pants....WTP.ext..or T...
@@RTTGunsGear Thank you very much for your feed back 🤝
Do you think the lightuck causes wear on the firearm ? I know holster wear is to be expected but I haven’t heard many reviews mentioning wear on the slide or anything
I honestly don't pay very close attention to that unless there's a significant scratch or wear.
Something about Vedder seems old school compared to Tier 1 and Safariland.
Great review!
I would like you to compare this with the C&G holster pros and cons ?
Thank you for the review video
Well done.
If you have a compensator on your gun would you need to order the flashlight option for it to fit? Or would it fit just like it would fit originally without a compensator?
Excellent, thanks for sharing
Recommend a sig p320 45 holster ??
@@mwb5987 Werkz is the first place I look for any holster these days.
So do you guys tuck to the left or to the right?
Am I the only one nervous about the gap around the trigger guard to accommodate for the light? Not a vedder specific issue, all light bearing holsters I’ve seen have it
It isn't a danger
Great review as always. Thanks for the info.
How they can't fix the clip problem but they send you a clip ?
Maybe everyone else just sanded it down where it was catching their finger and never complained.
Quite logical, logical guy.
@@jagpilotohio Scott H, I must agree with you. Sincerely, Scott Harris.
That's a huge trigger gap for a gun with only a trigger safety
Doesn’t really help that you have gigantic bear claws for hands! LOL! Joking aside, it was a really great review and I’m a huge fan of vedder holsters as well.
Another great review thanks for sharing!
What they need to do is change the design claw is ridiculous and put more holes for different clips design a holster that works lol .
Question: Where is the retention pressure on that holster? That is, the point of pressure on indentation that holds with weapon inside the holster. Is it on the light, like pressure on some point on the outside body of the light, which would be bad? Or is it on the inside of the trigger guard, which would be good? Thanks.
Pretty much all passive retention kydex holsters that are lightbearing, retain on the light.
Did you have to get the short clip from someone else or did vedder send it to you
I bought it from Vedder
Did you order the first one on their website? Or Amazon?..
Website
Great review.
For what they are and price point, there are much better options
Like what???
Funny thing I had the same problem gave vedder a call she just told me to send it back for a refund, instead of helping me fix the problem. SMH
I'm wildly unimpressed with Vedder.
Have you tried “harrys holsters”?
I have three Harry's Holsters reviews on my channel dating from just a couple months ago to 5 years ago. I am familiar with them. I still have the Contender from Harry's that I haven't done a review on yet. Great holsters.
@@RTTGunsGear going to check those out right now !! Thank you for the info! Subbed
Your a giant dude, probably works well for us normal mortals 😆
I have not been happy with mine. I am an athletic build and i think their design adds a lot of bulk and harder to grip holster.
Yea...I never recommend Vedder to people.
Could you tell me where to buy short clip
Right from Vedder
I hate it when I can't get a good solid grip on things in my pants.
seems like a common occurence where someone reviews a Vedder light tuck on video, its bad, and they fix it.
I think the measure of a company should be on what they send to regular people
The first one I bought. They had no idea they were sending it to a UA-camr.
@@RTTGunsGear and thats the product the rest of us will get. I appreciate you leaving up your first review but personally, i dont like that you even made this 2nd review at all
edit: to be clear, i think your intentions are good since you mentioned what happened at the beginning of the video.
What do you think of we the people holsters
Good video as always brother stay safe out there much love from Texas
Who's this guy ????
Great review, wish more folks like yourself can convince other firearm content creators leave facebook and come to MeWe.
I wish I still had Facebook. But I am on MeWe now and Rumble. I tried Parler and it kind of blows.
@@RTTGunsGear I like parlor is it’s the Conservative Twitter and I’m glad I’m on MeWe, enjoy your content.
@@MHSMokeEater I've heard others like it as well. I had a profile on there for my citizen militia group and it got a whopping views/reach of 80 in two months. I'll consider making one for my UA-cam channel. If it doesn't get any traction, I'll just shut it down and keep talking smack about Parler..lol
im watching this video cause
ur fluffy body type.. as am i
After watching multiple videos I will never buy a vedder holster. Even after they fixed it. It looks like it was made in a friends garage.
After watching this video ran to my safe and check out my vedder holster to see if I had the same problem. Mind you I bought the same one you have damm looks like no problem with mine🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never mind, i have the same long clip now I gotta give them a call and get the small clip, this is after almost a year of it sitting in my safe, It didnt even cross my mind to check this. Thanks for the video
update, just got my clip and now the holster fits great im able to get a better grip now thanks
grind it
I had to do so much cutting and i had to move claw up make new holes ext. But now its great but definitely not worth the money if you have to make it different to run it well its the only veder i have now txc or t rex arms i have like 3 of each of those companies i think with holsters people just move on llod holster is crap if you have ever tried his he thinks its great but ist not i have many great holsters and vedar and llod are trash .
I've not used LLOD. I do like his channel. Holsters no Bueno though?
@RTTGunsGear I like his channel as well but his holster is junk .
Ehh not worth $75
Garbage my gun fell out 4 Times just walking in my house
Yea, sorry...Not that these are the best holsters. But if your gun fell out while walking, then that is a "you" problem, not a "holster" problem.
They didnt change clip Prob because not all of us have bear mitts.
People complaining about the tuck of the holster when it's on the name, this type of holster is made for fat people with gut, tuck the holster down under the gut and learn how to draw, tuck its not so you can tuck your shirt, it's to tuck the holster down amd have a more comfortable way to seat or bend down
Literally, it's for tucking the shirt.
@RTTGunsGear conceal means exactly what it says, showing the clip will give sway the concealment. If you see their photos thats why you can adjust the ride height of the gun, but ok, let's say it's for the shirt, but thanks for the video, looking at this brand holster right now
