You always need to put liquid in a pressure pot, if its too wet at the end, put it on the saute function with the lid off and it will reduce down quite quickly :)
When I make a Chilli Con Carne in my Ninja 15 in 1, I only use a tin of Chopped Tomatoes, and half fill the can with water and add that to the mix.
I don't like Casserole/Stews, Curries and the like swamped in liquid.
Good to see recipes for the pressure cooker, loving and learning from your videos. Many thanks.
Our pleasure!
Thanks for all the cosorie recipes always easy to follow
I’m loving my Cosori pressure cooker ! I use the steam function for 3 mins to blanche vegetables for freezing (i add hot boiled water,to speed up the preheat) . As i am on my own,it means i’m not wasting anything and can buy the 3for 2 offers 😁I am waiting for you to make a steak or steak and kidney pudding in it ,pretty please with a cherry 🍒 on top 😎💖
Most recipes for the pressure cookers that contain tinned tomatoes tell you to put the tomatoes in last and dont stir.
That chilli looked lovely 😊😊
It doesn't make any difference in my opinion.
Absolutely fantastic Martin and Sharon another great winter warmer 👍👍👍👍
Thank you both, another amazing meal. You Two make my life easier.❤️❤️❤️❤️
We all love Merlin x
Well I’ve been watching your videos using the Cosori pressure cooker and this Chilli video has convinced me I need one of them in my life! Top of my shopping list I just need to find a good deal …and thanks for the demo as ever 👌😊
Check our Amazon link below the video.
Mine is arriving on Sat! Can't wait, already planning recipes to try in it. Stacy's channel sounds good, I loved the scones she made, Vegtastic mum, is also a winner I adored her recipe for cheese scones.
I’ll do that now!! Thanks you two x
Sugar works well to temper the acid in tomatoes. I have also used brown sugar, gives an enriched flavor. Well guess what I will be making tomorrow, with corn Mimi muffins.
Dark chocolate is quite a traditional thing to put in chilli it's to balance out the acid in the tomatoes. I'm a tight wad and usually substitute it with either a drop of honey or a bit of sugar as that does same thing.I always think chilli needs to be made then left to mature in fridge a day or 2 before reheated and eaten and then it's perfect. The pressure pot is a winner in our house thanks for showcasing it xxx
chocolate or coffee in chilli is good
Looked good definitely going to add chocolate 🍫 next time I make a chilli
I do my chilli con carne in a big frying pan, not got my head around a pressure cooker yet, I always think once that lid goes down you've lost control of your dish. I planned to do a chilli tonight but changed it to a Keema curry instead with infused Basmati rice :)
Hi both...thank you once again for a lovely recipe, I was expecting you to add grated cheese on the top, knowing that you both love cheese, i put it on ours, yum lovely lol
Big hugs to you both Sue & Ben (Woodhall Spa) xx
Yes, i would as well.
If it's too hot the following day, a dollop of cool yoghurt helps tone it down. Great video, I hope youngsters come across your channel, it is so easy for them to follow and learn how to make decent nourishing and warming meals that don't cost an arm and a leg!
Omg that looked like a delicious chilli ❤
I always put dark choc in my chilli. It gives it a nice kind of smoothness Don’t know how to explain it. . A nice winter warmer. And 10 minutes is amazing. I like it over plain Doritos with melted cheese on the top mmmm. Thanks for the video. I’ve bought dual Ninja and a 15:1 because of you lol. If I buy any more I won’t have any room in my kitchen ☺️. That pressure pot does look good I must say ☺️ 🤔🤔🤔
That looks delicious. A dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt on top will take some of the heat off, if it's a bit too spicy tomorrow. Certainly a winter warmer for adults only!. Yum.
Hi Martin and Sharon, another taste sensation. It's good how it looks so quick, even if you were coming in from work and having to cook it it's not long to wait
M&S I’ve just cooked that chilli absolutely Taste Sensation but unfortunately Martin I live on my own and haven’t got a Sharon to hold me up 🤣🤣🤣love you two fellow Londerners wallop
Looks great. I have a Ninja Foodi 15 in 1 and always add some stock so it comes to pressure.
The chocolate idea is from Mexican dishes they use it in a lot of cooking .
Ohhh have to try this! Thanks Sharon and Martin 😊
Our pleasure!
Looks realy tasty yum yum ❤
Thank you 😋
Cinnamon is very good as well.
Why didn't you saute the mince and onions in the pot first then add the tomatoes so there at the bottom of the pot the n add allother ingredient on top , do it that way and never get the burn warning.
Oooh chocolate, fancy!
Thanks both for the recipe 😊.
I believe that tomatoes and tomato puree are not a pressure cookers friend and should be left on the top and not stirred in. I dont know why its just a thing.
I love the the way Merlin wanted to help Mum and Dad with the cooking he's a beautiful boy.
Just cooked this, absolutely delicious! Thanks you gorgeous couple..❤❤xx
Delicious 😋 Beautiful Merlin ❤ xx
Love my pressure cooker thanks to you x
That also works good with cubed steak
Oh yes 😊 loving your chilli and defo need to try adding some dark chocolate at the end, thanks for sharing. Aw Merlin he’s a bit of a tryer that one with those big eyes and waggy tail, love him 😅. Love the pressure cooker especially at this time of year, Jan ❤xx
Thanks so much Jan😊
Try baby frank with it you might be surprised ! my grandson loves sriracha sauce 🤪
Hi Sharron and Martin that looks loverly great watching my two best people on you tube brilliant x
Thanks so much
Looks tasty!…💖
Three beans in chilli sauce I use, but very nice indeed!
Looks delicious another tasty meal brilliantly done guys.
I’ve put coco powder in my chilli for years just a spoonful , that works just as well if you have it handy . Does the ninja 15 in one have a pressure cooker ? There are so many of these things on the market I’m starting to get confused . The chilli looked delicious .
An M&S Con-carne. Additive free! 😋
I got to say it amazing looks delicious.
Thank you very much xx
We put a small handful of Fritos corn chips in a bowl. Ladle the chili in then top with diced raw onions, sour cream and a little hot sauce if you like it hotter. Yours looks easy and very good. Thanks.
Chilli, one of my favourite meals
OMG Merlin is absolutely gorgeous … soooooo handsome ❤️❤️❤️
I had that burn message come up once when I was making a beef stew but silly me had put oxo and a bit too much gravy granules in it and it didnt like the thickness of the gravy.I stirred it as wasn't burnt and likd you added more water and it was fine. Now for stews I but far less bisto in and thicken at the end when lid off using saute function.
I noticed this comment is from seven months ago Sarah so I’m not sure if you will get to read it however I wondered if you meant you don’t actually use any thickener at the end now but reduce the fluid by just using the sauté function instead??
I have Chilli Con Carne on the menu for next week - I will try the chocolate in it! Thanks for the tip - it sounded lush 🙂
It's so good!
Love you two xx amazing couple 💜
Another great video ❤ Yep, always need to add a bit of liquid to a pressure cooker.
Looks lovely, I always put dark chocolate in mine as it makes it unkjeous ha ha don't know how to spell that, but it's lovely ❤x
Looks lovely xx💜
After watching you do a few things in your pressure cooker we are definitely gonna get one, I couldn't warrant spending £200 odd quid on a Ninja 15 in 1, but sub £100 for one of these definitely worth it 😀 I'll make preparing more healthy meals a lot easier for a working family 😊
I have bought on eBay the kings 3l pressure cooker
Love chilli thanks tip of dark choc iv cookinb one i pick up by mistake. Thanks doing it wkend in my slow cooker. Cant wait to see traceys channel 😊x
Ohhhh that looks good, taste Folks🎉😊❤
I'm pleased to see you are using Uncle Ben's rice.
The company belongs to Mars.
Hi Martin thanks for doing a video on this👍, it's seems that you too ended up with the no pressure and burn warning as I mentioned in my email to you when I try to cook it in my Ninja. I will give it another go and maybe put alot more liquid in to see if that helps. Also I will try it with the chocolate as that sounds like a great addition. All the best to you both.
Yes, that's why we showed it in this video because of your email.
Yummy 😋
Exactly the same thing happened to me when I done it LOL Great Video Cheers
😁
Great video again love chillie hope u all ok ❤❤
that pressure cookers pukka eh! I do a dorito and mash crust on my chilli sometimes that's nice, proper job folks! X
Add some fresh cream…….another dimension….😀😀😀😀
Always tastes better the next day 😋 🥂🌹
Yes it does!
Hi guys 👋In a previous pressure cook chilli con carne review, you browned the meat and onion first, is this different?
It makes no difference really.
Definitely going to try this, though possibly without the baked beans - I bought a Cosori after watching your initial review and so far I like it. Just wondering, have you found a glass lid that fits the Cosori pot for steaming and the like?
No, we don't really steam like that.
@@butlersempire Oh well, thanks anyway.
Just in case anyone else should ask, I have discovered that the 5.7L Instant Pot lid fits. Not cheap but widely advertised.
Love seeing you two doing this sort of stuff. The dark chocolate doesn't taste ? I saw a video about someone doing a stew and he put a Grapefruit in it and said the same thing it just added to the flavour, but you couldn't taste it. Am determined to get one of the original Fujitsu air fryers you did at the start of these, just a question of time. Thanks :)
Looks darn good..just got a flash of Merlin..kiss on his head from me.
Use the low fat mince as well . The higher percentage fat stuff is a bit grim. :).
Hi guys
If the chilli or a curry is too hot from chilli powder a bit of lemon juice mixed in will cancel out some of the heat. 👍
Hi both..with weight in a person,deffo geans Martin...i suffered 5 ft 13 stone at 13 years of age..Now im 50,,5 ft 11, 12stone 3,never counted cals,fibre,etc.. I just when im hungry m8. And if its in the fridge bonus😂,but fact,eat when hungry 🎉
Good stuff
how's about a nice French onion soup with cheese and croutons
Another winner Sharon and Martin ,a nice bowl of chilli would do Lee good . Loved the Halloween special ,it was brilliant thankyou .
Lynn here on Hubby's phone mines playing up 😏, Hi Martin and Sharron 😊, this one looks Very tasty 😋, tell me Im nosy , but might I ask what you both did for jobs before You Tube ? and another thing bugging me is , how many children do you have have? I know you have Tracy who lives in Scotland right ? But who Baby Frank ? And who lives in the same house , I'm very puzzled 🤔, sorry to be so nosy , it's just one of those things that bugs you if you know what I mean , Take Care you lovely people see you in the next one XX❤
I was an electrician and Sharon Had a few jobs, but mainly part time. We have 3 children, Gary (Project Man) Tracey( in Scotland) and Jimmy who lives with us with his Fiancee and baby Frank.
@@butlersempireLynn again, Thanks for putting me in the picture, 👍
Martin you are a great content creator.
I like chili with baked beans No red kidney beans lol.
I loved your Halloween special Sharon you were very brave
Thanks so much
Awesome. I don’t add baked beans and there is no need to pre cook the mince. Still ok looking tho’,,,,
Have you heard from Lee? I have been worried about him from across the Pond.
Yes, he is a lot better.
@@butlersempire Thank you so much for the info !
He can smell the mince.
Carne ? (Can’t he) 😂
Stuff the chilli, can I have merlin❤😊
If it is too hot put some yogurt in it…………😮
Where’s the pink stuff…
I love your vlogs, but I see you've started shorts😮. Not for me as I find them a tease. I'd rather wait for your vlogs. But that's just me. Sorry.❤
Shorts 😖😖😖🙄🙄🙄🙄😳
Put the tomatoes in last and don’t stir them
Guys why not come to Glasgow. Xxx
An American lady on youtube with a pressure cooker says to always start a recipe with 1 cup of liquid, otherwise the "burnt food" error can be quite common? Not directing anyone to that site because I am team Butlers. Trolls note, I am not free loading, scrounging or gaining any benefit before you start! Just trying to help and contribute.
I love the faces Sharon makes ,chilli looks tasty
if it's too spicy tomorrow top it with plain yoghurt :)
i've started topping anything spicy with yoghurt because it's awesome and tastes fresher than sour cream :)
fantastic dish😊
Absolutely 👍💯 we love seeing Merlin👍👏 and Dougal❤❤❤❤❤
Wow?? Dark chocolate??? If I haven't tried it then I can't comment. I'm sure my daughter will give it a go be something new to try thank-you both
Next day and more in wrap's, and a salad.
Love your doggie Merlin, he looks so cute, recipe looks great, and I will definitely be subscribing to Tracy’s channel, as usual a very entertaining video.X💕🏴
Thanks so much 😊
Lovely grub. Creme Fraiche will always be your saviour if it's a tad to spicy! I agree... most meals are always better after 24 hours!
Absolutely!!
I can't wait to try this and some good tips in the comments as well.
