I absolutely love Warner Archive as a label. No overpriced fancy packaging just top quality restorations of classic films in a slim case. Perfect. I love them & Criterion for not getting dragged into limited edition nonsense.
I was tempted to pick some stuff during the recent sale but, man, there's just been so many sales everywhere. Sometimes you just need to close the wallet and say, "Next time, baby." Nice video. Good recommendations!
The scene in A Day at the Races where Chico tries to con Groucho into buying racing books, is absolute classic Marx Brothers. “Get your tootsie frootsie Ice Cream”
I really wish Warner would release the complete classic Looney Tunes catalog (even sans the censored 11 if necessary). There are so many great cartoons that we still don't have on physical media.
Straight Time is an incredible film. I imported it the minute it dropped, though I see it's available in the UK now which is great for UK buyers who can now discover this criminally underrated gem. It was top of my most wanted titles on BluRay for years before it finally came out. I even emailed Warner Brothers at one time & asked if they have any plans to release it, they never replied to me though the lazy gits. 😂
During the MovieZyng sales, I always put in 50+ WAC titles into my basket then spend a few days (painfully) cutting them down to 9 or 10. The fact is until Warner Archive UK start doing sales of their own, it will be cheaper to buy from MovieZyng's 4 for $49 sales. Plus, they always have 400+ titles on offer, which is a far far bigger choice than what we can buy over here (still waiting for Reflections in a Golden Eye to go down in price ... somewhere). Thanks for the future tips. This time I ordered: Action Jackson, Stage Fright, The Frisco Kid, The Gumball Rally, Before Night Falls, The Devil Doll, Camille, Bronco Billy, Damn Yankees
I remember the days when BBC used to put a filler WB cartoon on, I would be glued to the tv. One night BBC1 programmes finished early and they put a WB cartoon on at midnight before closedown! Nowadays BBC isn't worth watching but in the past, good days.
I bought my most treasured Warner bros archive DVD remains Preston Sturges Miracle of Morgan’s Creek. It is an absolute treasure of a film hilarious and heart warming one of his best. I think there is something weird as far as licensing as it was not included in the DVD boxset that came out at the same time. Sadly it did not get the Criterion Blu-ray treatment that many of the PS films got a few years back and sadly seems destined to remain DVD only.
From Warner Archive I recommend The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm...a 2 disc Special Edition that looks amazing...also with very interesting special features...
@@ElliotCoen Right, I thought I’d missed out on a Warner UK sale as you run a British channel. Fortunately I bought lots of the HMV Premium WA titles during their 2fer sales. Great Blu-rays and nice to see them coming to the UK since the HMV licensing deal expired.
Unlike many US retailers, Moviezyng delivers direct to the UK for the equivalent of £12.22 for each disc (including postage) during their WAC sales. Anyone who likes what Warner Archive offers should take advantage

When Groucho has Margaret Dumont on the examination table in Day at the Races, i loved that she had to be a really good sport to get through this.

Warner Archives Blu-ray are always high quality but the sale was only in the U.S., right?
I believe so but they’re region free and shipping can be reasonable unless you buy a boat load!
