I wish this was longer, superbly fascinating, I want to know more about the behind the scenes aspects of the movie. There are very few authentic and home-made depictions of the civil war that West Beyrouth becomes more of a gem with age. I think the more years pass the more culturally and politically relevant the movie becomes amongst Lebanese people like myself.

This movie is a hidden gem, both for non-Lebanese and especially for Lebanese. West Beirut has aged like wine. Especially now after the revolution and the August 4 Blast, seeing how Lebanon hasn't gotten any better than it was since the civil war, it's so much more powerful.
