I really, really hope the thing with Argenti swooping in to save people becomes an ongoing thing. Argenti being this "Tuxedo Mask" type character is so fitting and I want it so bad. XD
I hope it’s always impossibly convenient too. Like, I don’t even want an explanation for him appearing in the Nihility to save Aventurine. Literally they could say he just happened to be passing by and leave it at that and I’d be too busy laughing my ass off to have any objections.
Argenti really feels like a Protagonist of a separate series doing his own thing in our game. He keeps popping up in random places and saving random people and doing what he wants.

I said in another video so I want to share this to everyone, This is My Headcannon.
The Train that appears after robin supports us is NOT our Astral Express.
It's Legwork's Astral Express.
His friends, his crew, Razalina, Tiernan, and his first navigator, Falcon Amundsen are in there.
They answered his call, since we got the legacy of the watchmaker and harmony.
They're fighting Sunday to show what Penacony really is, a temporary escape.
But after that temporary escape, they need to wake up and move forward in a blazing path.
The Path of the Trailblazer.
That explains why the train is twice as long as the current one (Aha blew half of it up)

I love how in the finale, every streamer I've seen so far has basically reacted to Aventurine betting his life again with a kind of "Oh Aventurine, you're incorrigible!"
The story was amazing. Having even basic knowledge of HI3rd makes the story so much more enjoyable. Raiden Mei being her actual name, the reference to mei helping kiana while she was falling in both the "lament of the fallen" and "graduation trip" animated shorts, himeko's dreams, the HI3rd OST "North Wind" playing while when acheron was talking in her domain and "Why" while she was talking to the shadow, Sunday with mannerisms and traits similar to Otto but goals similar to Kevin, the entire story tracing the exact same path as project stigma in the finality arc. But even without it, the story srsly holds its own.
Yea, there a lot of fan service for Honkai Impact players. Amount of respect shown towards old game is much appreciated
@@theSeventhDruid Tbf tho, ShaoJi was originally a writer for HI3rd anyway, and DaWei basically already said HI3rd was his passion project. They knew what players would be attracted by the Honkai name, so it woulda been wierder to not include something at least. But the way they integrated it was great

Oswaldo Schneider (according to available lore) was the one who guided the other Sigonian tribes into creating a sovereignty recognized by the IPC, during which they sacrificed the Avgin & Katican clans by banishing them to the desert. Which as we know, eventually led to their annihilation. I am SUPER curious as to how Aventurine feels about him, and how the whole plotline will shake out with Boothill chasing him down. It also completely makes sense now why we got Boothill and then Jade instead of Sunday...Sunday was our Signora/another Cocolia situation, and Jade is about to be integral to the story. REEEEE this game is so good, I'm ultra-hyped for 2.3!!

A bit of context for Honkai Impact ost's that were used during Acheron name reveal:
2:18:44 track called "North Wind". Was used in chapter 17 during Raiden Mei mental breakdown before becoming Herrscher of Thunder
2:22:00 track called "Why". Was used in chapter 17 as a first phase bgm during Kiana and Mei fight. Also has second and third phase called "Never let you go" and "Enough"
This arc (chapter 15-17) was dedicated to Raiden Mei character development.
Not only is Acheron's name reveal one of my favorite things to happen, the music that plays in the back is the music used when Mei divorced with Kiana and took the pet dragon.

It's crazy that even though most people were certain what Acheron's name was, the reveal hit just as hard. Even to people that never even played HI3rd.
Sunday is such an amazing villain for Honkai Star Rail. And thinking back at all the scenes that display the qualities about him, I just noticed he has a lot of things in common taken from both Otto and Kevin put together that also defines him.
The most defining trait this three villains have is that despite they only have one single person they genuinely care in their life and don't have much regard for other people as they generally look down on regular folk, they thought of solutions for humanity as a whole trying to shred some sympathy to them while completely missing out on what they exactly need, specially about the weak who can't help for themselves.
However the solutions they thought have questionable actions and also involves the arbitrary/involuntary sacrifice that most affected would not be willing to forsake as it would ruins such individual's life and have disdain for people who want to fight for their worth despite the fact they think they are themselves above everyone else to hypocritically protecting their own interests above all else, inclunding the worths of the same person they consider even more valuable than their own life.
We got the best of both worlds. We didn't actually end up using our one-time Luofu calling card. And we still got to see Jing Yuan. 👍
when Boothill and Dan Heng forgot about Acheron, my first thought was that because she is a Self-Annihilator, maybe memories other people have about her would also slowly erased by IX
Penacony as peak! Although I was a lil mad the Dang Heng and Jing Yuan scene was just a big mindfuck. I really hope they team up in the future to kick some baddie ass!

I think this is the first ever mention of Oswaldo Schneider in a main story quest. I know he's mentioned a lot in sidequests and the lore stuff. I'm simultaneously so hyped and so scared. 2.2 was amazing and I have no idea what to expect of 2.3.
He was mentioned in topaz story quest i believe when adventurine first apears on a phone call with topaz discussing diamond and penacony
He was also name-dropped by an "apprentice" in an Occurrence stage within the Simulated Universe. So his name's been around, kinda.

@@eh9618and that is true, you can't confirm it, there are several cases in the Hoyo games where shared VAs were just coincidences. It is a very strong clue, though. But still, was it even necessary? Acheron being a Mei variant was pretty clear from the moment she was introduced.

In my honest opinion i feel like the entirety of sunday's problem is that he needs to get out of penacony more, meet REAL people in the REAL world, it feels a lot he's so used to living in a paradise where people run away from their real life problems twisted him a LOT

About "Emanator" confusion (BEWARE, OPINION, NOT STATED AS CANON!!!)
I believe that Emanators were the Lightning Lord and Dominicus as whole (the body that, literally, absorbed around a hundred thousand souls of the puppets of Order), NOT Sunday and Jing Yuan.
Otherwise Jing Yuan would be a Hunt character, just as Acheron (confirmed Emanator of IX/Nihility) or Herta (real one, not puppet, semi-confirmed/implied due to her personal meetings with Nous THEMselves to be the Emanator of Nous/Erudition) who follow Nihility and Erudition respectively.
It would be against the core meaning of being an Emanator (to be granted the fraction of power/blessing of an Aeon whose Path you are following) for Jing Yuan to be one (he wasn't noticed personally by Nous, otherwise, he would have been presented/mentioned as one of, for example, the Genius Society, moreover, he is still on the side of the Hunt).
This is genuinely my favourite location ever in HSR and absolutely my favourite TBM in the entire game. For Genshin for me, it's Fontaine, but here, absolutely Penacony. I loved every second of it, even if I struggled due to my characters not being the strongest and technical issues, I enjoyed everything I witnessed. I assume the epilogue will drop in 2.3 and wrap up a good number of loose ends that have yet to be answered, but this was honestly incredible to watch again. I can't wait to get more characters that have shown up thus far, Boothill obviously, but soon Jade & hopefully Sunday.. So excited!

Acheron saying its almost as difficult as resurrecting an Aeon.
This statement means so much more and it seems to fly by people, the fact that an EMANATOR who said this solidifies the theory of resurrecting Akivili through TB becomes so much more plausible
Only an Aeon can deal with an Aeon just as Acheron said, to deal with an Emanator, you need an Emanator to deal with them.

After playing the final battle, man. Hoyo really outdid themselves for the Penacony arc. I absolutely love Honkai Star Rail! I think my top 5 favorite characters introduced in this arc are Acheron, Black Swan, Aventurine, Boothill, and Misha. Dialogue could get a little long here and there, but the payoff at the end was phenomenal! At this rate, Hoyo please just make a Honkai Star Rail anime at this point! The game is awesome, but an accompanying anime would be stellar! ❤🌟

Does this mean whatever we did defeating the true "final" boss already happened also? Because Acheron proceeds to talk normally etc... I felt a bit odd at this scene as if Acheron did not like seeing us

i think that he can of course ask him for help, but it might take some time to explain the situation or convince them of the urgency. but the Jade Abacus is like a SOS flare. if it is used they WILL arrive as quick as possible no questions asked. also maybe Dan can't contact JY the normal way because they are in the Dreamscape, the Abacus might be able to work around that
