- Hey folks! Last week I did quick tutorial on replacing the screen of a LG Aristo 5 and LG K30. Today, I'll be doing a full tutorial and walking through every step to successfully replace the screen on this LG phone. Hope you enjoy!

How do you turn on proximity sensor pn astro 5
You can't turn the prox sensor on or off. If it isn't working, either it's a bad connection to the board, or a torn ribbon cable.

You tried this repair and it isn't working?
I have a queston the top of my aristo 5 is un responsive like i cant use the slide down menu but if i turn it sideways i can use the slide down menu also my phone dosent 360 rotate it only goes up and to both sides if i flip my phone upside down it dosent do any thing it stays right side up any tips or suggestions
The first issue you're having is a bad digitizer. You would need to replace the screen o fix this.
The second part... I can't remember for sure on this specific phone, but many phones won't rotate a full 360. Most will only rotate to the sides or right side up. If it's properly rotating the other ways, then I would guess most likely it doesn't rotate 360.
I bought a replacement glass digitizer screen online for my lg aristo 5, and it is clear, with no black backing. Does it matter if it isn't black backed?
Yes the black backing is actually the lcd. Replacing the digitizer alone is extremely difficult.
They sent a little tube of B-7000 glue with the screen. Would you guys use it ?
I assume it's to use instead of tape.
Yes you can use that. It’s a little unwieldy. Also I think it takes a couple of days to fully cure.
Can you use the uv glue for this phone repair?
I don’t recommend it. UV glue is meant for adhering glass to lcds. Not the whole assembly to the frame.
Question do you know how to fix the problem where the system says power supply and usb options long story short that basically prevents it from charging and i got no clue how to fix it so remove the back and battery swap when it needs charged is about my only option at the moment
So the charge port doesn’t work?
Oh hey sorry it took me a month to get back to you basically the phone decided it wanted to try and charge other devises regardless of where it was plugged in if it was plugged in turning it off to charge it worked when it didn't automatically turn on the phone i don't know how it started or why it finally decided to stop doing it but im good now sorry for not noticing you replied earlier
I have a bunch of aristo 2 phones and the thing I run into is battery bloat. I'm looking at switching to the five no problem but I'm worried about the battery not being replaceable. Any issues?
The battery is replaceable. Just not conventionally. It does require disassembling the phone. Battery bloat shouldn’t be such as issue as you’re having. Are you leaving the phones in the heat? Or leaving them on the charger when they don’t need to be charged?

If it’s for phone farming then the 5 might not be the best since you do have to take it apart to replace the battery. Unfortunately most phones are being built that way now.
@@JoeDoesStuff nonreplaceable batteries is definitely an issue and the older phones are simply not working well enough. So I am digging around anywhere I can find some solutions. Thanks for your answers, much appreciated.
