Pressure with micropin, then hotglue the Sumabi on there let it dry. and boomsydaisy. the problem is the zif socket has next to no pressure in the grip bumps and constantly u plugs itself. that or I used a pcs of old thermal pad tape.

So you didn't apply it properly, cure it properly, rammed your thumb into the screen and broke it.. is the result really the fault of the resin? 🤔

Well, for one thing you left it overnight in the dew which most likely ruined the structure of the chemical (s). I'm taking my broken screen in tomorrow to my metroPC store to see what can be done to fix it the right way.

Do I need to replace the thermal paste as well or can I just closed it back up without replacing it ?

Note that if your lens glass is broken open, you can then get dust and junk in your camera, so don't delay in getting it fixed. You also don't want glass shards falling in there, so probably want to use a strong vacuum. The lens glass is a critical piece and I found that without it you cannot focus correctly. Seems you won't be able to test until you have affixed the new glass. Order sapphire lens glass, not regular.

Thanks for the very clear guide, others never mentioned anything about no mess, no glue, no reassembly, no prying the glue off a battery and then having the glue the new one down, and never mentioning anything about alcohol, so thanks for taking the time to show the battery replacement process. no glue seems to be sticking to this screen. even the repair shop guy glued and it came right off after a week. i glued it back with bl7000 and it came back after 2 weeks or so. unfortunately this type of tape isnt being sold by any proper brand in my country.

Can you try this on a scrached phone with derp scratches?? Maybe this works cause this filler wouldn‘t even work on a broken. Windschields it‘s only for filling up cracks if the crack doesn‘t go through the whole glass.

@FromDesertTown down in the comments below has definitely hit the mark on how this resin applicator works. Also most of these come with a U.V light to hardened the resin as to how long ? Not sure, I would assume the longer the better also taking note when its completely dried and set so maybe 24 hours or atleast 12+ hours of constant exposure? Also, the suction doo-hickey is to push the resin into and fill in the crack completely if any small air bubbles get caught in the crack that will make it so where its hollow and when you pressed down on the screen and it cracked was because it wasnt filled in correctly.

Idk why you tossed that suction cup applicator tool. Now-that is an “integral” component of the repair kit. It basically forces the ultra thin glue/ fluid into the void and makes the cut look a lot less visible. I’ve used it on car windshields with similar cracks and the stuff really helps. I think I could have used more liquid, but I’m happy with it, and it’s been a few years since I did it and it hasn’t spread out at all from the original size of the crack.
