You didn't show echos tho. I'd totally build him using the moonlit set with turtle echo as main. Spam his skill then ult>echo skill>outro and he will be shielder/buffer too. Also the turtle bell shield scaling from def which he already scales off.

I use my C4 Yuanwu with my Yinlin and Jianxin. Double shields and double these HANDS BEING THROWN! Give Jianxin shield turtle echo, mark boss's with Yinlins forte and Jianxins wedge, watch her dance in the storm while taking zero damage!
Sorry if it's a dumb question, I don't think I ever saw it explained anyway. When enemy toughness is reduced, do they take increased damage too or some other effect? Or is just to make them stop zip zapping around the map?
Ironically Yuanwu does worse without 2 main DPS and Yinlin isn’t that due to her damage being spread out. He does better against bosses with Calcharo than Yinlin. Encore and Calcharo are more important against bosses while Yinlin is more for spreading out dmg.

I think you missed his full support role. You equip him with Originite: Type IV. Then he heals on basic and give the whole party 15% att from the healer set. 1 sec field time every 12 sec. His build is pure deff and ER if you want to use his RLb for extra break. It doesnt affect ToA timer so its kinda fine. at S6 his 32 % def buff will make him OP for any def dmg dps.

Yuanwu isn’t the greatest… until you get his 2 passive skill unlock enables everyone else to have stronger vibrations break aka causing the enemies to break down more often.

Yuanwu is echo-friendly especially all his abilities except basic attacks are lean towards defense stats that we commonly earned from absorbing echoes

Yuanwu is slowly becoming s tier for me. Easy Vibration dmg is underated and gives way to any character with any wpn type becoming viable
yuanwu isnt bad omg. he's a frequence breaker aka toughness. he literally gives you 2 or 3 more free damage phases like

On paper it looks like Taoqi works very well but I havent leveled her yet...
since the start of the game when i see off-field coordinated atk + increase vibration strenght shred = god tier

My Yuanwu is S6 and he is a top tier character. Partner him with Yinlin and 1 more dps like Havoc Rover and they obliterate any boss 😂

He kinda sucks without sequences/cons. Yinlin made him a lot better, but he's still decent without her
If you know how to play the character, you can try different combos and sh*ts to make the gameplay funny despite the button mashing
