      I didn’t see any 1/16 gaurd play ? Is this a certain type of fade? I see a lot of British barbers leaving that area darker. Is it to leave a dark shadow line in between the 1/16 and half to 1 1/2 ? Asking in Behalf of my barber techniques !

      BRICKBOWYSKREW PRODUCTION Lots of old school/foreign barbers tend to fade using only the 1 and 2 guard. You can finesse a haircut with only 2 guards or even 1 guard it all depends on your technique

    Came onto the comments to check out if any one called out what trimmers they are and all I see is a bunch of dudes who don't even cut hair criticizing the hair cut. People get this cut constantly and it's not your hair. Let's stay positive in the industry and build barbers to be better instead of talking mad shit.

      For high end barbers and customers thats a fade. For us in the hood we want a faded fade with exaction. We tend to ask more. Same with money... We buy all the Gucci, jordans pay mad money and be broke. Yet they buy 12 buck shirts, but live a rich life. We in the hood expect a perfect hair cut for $15 bucks. That hair cut he gave is no less than $45 bucks. It's just life! It's not fair but it's life.

    Good cut, I don't get why people are hating on the parting, its not that bad and hair is a choice anyway.. One thing i'd point out is to stop cleaning the razor on your own skin.. its not healthy or professional even though a lot of misinformed barbers keep on doing it. We barbers cut people even on the microscopic level, hence why redness at times and no cut.. It's really unsanitary for both ends and could be fixed by just cleaning it somewhere else (tissue, towel, etc..)

    He knows what he's talking about and has great knowledge but it just doesn't seem to be applied, the fades are never actually fades because after the zero he goes straight into a 0.5 after his guideline, depending on the hair type he should go from a zero with the next guideline being a 1 or 1.5 then fading those two guidelines with a 0.5 it would create a better fade otherwise it's pointless creating a guideline with a zero only to push the guideline further up with a 0.5

    • @carleymukai5243
      @carleymukai5243 6 років тому +2

      All barbers fade different, some prefer creating guides up and then fading up, some prefer cutting the guides up and then fading down, and some don't believe in creating guides. Most barbers know that the fade will rise because you're cutting shadows and taking out the bulk. Hence why he started at a mid to make it into a high fade lmao.

      @Mike California Its not that UK sucks at fading, it's the trend over there to have bulky hair cuts with lots of texture. They like more of a shadow to their hair cuts vs Americans who like more fade/gradient. It's a style and how a different country does haircuts. There's no need to be rude just because you don't like it, that's childish.

    Is there a story behind all the skin fades? How did the fad become so big in Britain?

    I like this barbers style, but what about the barber next to him? In the time this barber does 1 client the other barber does 2. I tell the other barbers I work with to take you’re time, the details really bring out the cut.

    what happens when you plan to let it grow for a year after a skin fade? will it look weird as hell?

    • @Beardbrand
      @Beardbrand  5 років тому

      Typically, if a skin fade is done well. It should not look strange as it grows out.
      That being said, you may want to get a trim every few months to help everything even out as it grows back.

    That fade needs more grey to give it a better transition.
    Except that, very good scissor work.

      SIMONE PERETTI Lmao for real. As a barber they’re the worst clients to deal with and many other barbers I know agree. And they expect a 5 star service for cheap and they don’t even wanna tip on top of it and most the time they come to the shop smelling musty asf 🤷🏻‍♂️

      I could jump in here and say well premium prices bring premium customers, A quick google makes it impossible to say, their prices are so reasonable its shocking when we see the end results. Cut & Finish will cost you £18, restyle £25.
