He must be a magician, I never saw the bowl.
Guys, not every fade has to be stretched out and light towards the top. I see that a lot of European barbers tend to leave more weight towards the top, and to be honest I like the look a lot. It is mainly to keep a square shape, and to keep enough length on the sides so that they lay down in a classic manner. In this instance, Dave has cut a heavy/weighted fade on the guy, and fair play because it actually suits him. There are going to be different types of cuts depending on where the barber is from and what he is accustomed to. So leave it, you don't have to bicker all over beardbrand. Not everyone wants some stretched out fade that leaves no length on the sides. Good job Dave.
Tsetsenbat Mongol you my friend are educated 👌
There actually is fades with length with a good fade this isnt a fade this is just a guideline
I can agree, such fades are very popular in Germany ❤️
coming from a UK barber, most of clients i do that have a skin fade will ask to have a heavy blend opposed to a regular fade and i assume a lot of other UK barbers will say the same, so don’t hate the barbers work he was most likely following the clients request
Bro the sucks.... Period!!!
I would’ve cried if my barber ever did this to me
Awesome interior design of the shop. Love the decorations. And Outside by Staind makes it even better !
I liked this cut
So many haters commenting, I’m sure most cannot executive a skin fade this clean, while still maintaining such nice shape. Great video, great haircut, great channel. Loved it.
Nice trim. Fades look so much better when there is more weight on the top, to everyone criticising his haircut, not all of us want our head looking like a fucking oval.
BillyBoy92 I prefer weights with more than weight at the top. It grows out better and doesn’t pop out as much.
Instablaster...
barber: "what you want mate"
guy: "gimme that WW2 fam"
Honestly I never see a good fade on this channel
tbh starting to think english barbers are wack
Je To really they're good. Mahesh is the best from the group.
literally, i only let this turkish guy cut mine!
I don't remember this being a fade. Well at least in the traditional sense.
Oh god, we have a whiner on UA-cam.
Legend still has it hes still tryna bald out the first guideline
the bulk is still there bro
DHANUSH BABAN and the guidelines too lmao. Christ. I'm not even out of barber school and can fade better than this.
Avery Lord i love cutting hair but parent aint supportive im not and expert but i believe i can do a fair fade 🤓
Dhanush Baban that’s the point son
The point is the cut sucks
Why is there so much hate on this cut? Each to his own. The fade is not as tapered as most prefer, but there is some tapering in the cut. I honestly think it works with the super long top. I like the stark contrast.
Because the barber fucked it up. Seriously, look at the client's reaction and facial expression 😂.
Barber shouldn't have left so much guidelines and dark spots. He also left WAAAAY too much bulk at the sides and top.
Mans walked out like a fresh Kim Jong Un
He left WAY too much weight above them fade lines. Literally looked like Jamie Oliver with Kim Jong-un’s wig on. Wow
Jamie Oliver lol 😂
🤣👍
LMFAOOOOOOOO
Hahahaha made my day 😂
Poor guy lmao
8:14 GOT EM!
I had a feeling he was gonna do something bc he was looking at the camera.
That is not a fade, you could turn him upside down and use him as a cereal bowl. I’m not saying I cut hair perfect but I wouldn’t let a paying customer leave my shop looking like that!
u did it perfect
This is a european style fade. In Germany where I come from this is the standard. The American type of fade with less contrast is not as popular in Europe as this style of fade
@@TheSPFPR SElow this is 100% true dude, I love this style I don't like the less contrast fades :p
fr it boosted my self esteem 😂😂
I like both styles 😜
He went from looking like a substitute teacher, to a convict lol
Lmaoo
@Beardbrand constructive criticism ... You guys taught me great things when it comes to cutting with Shears.. if I could help this barber, I would say to bring your bald guide down some and give yourself room to blend all your guides evenly.. you can still create the same beautiful silhouette you created but it would have been a lot easier on the eye.. especially when you showed your client his haircut from the back with the hand mirror.. however there are great things to learn from this video.. keep up the great work barber.
I like fading my hair like this, I think it looks better than stretched out fades, why people hating though
Use the 1/2 clip and go an inch higher and clipper over comb and fade it again with a low lever clipper
Best skin fade. Seriously!
Such skill to do such an amazing fade in such a small space... goes from skin to full hair in little more than half an inch... thanks for the detailed educational commentary too... love watching this guys tutorials and work
I guess a comb over “pompadour” is a very common hair cut in the “uk” . Different style of cutting , can’t knock it from them . Always good to see different styles . I also agree with the way they blend the “fade” some of them leave a visible line but I guess that’s how they were trained . .
I liked before hairstyle (Just a personal opinion) !
UK has the best shearwork US has the best fadework, now trying to find someone that can do both...priceless
Come to Greece bro.
Chris bossio
Chris bossio is the best barber on UA-cam. Hes a beast
360 jeezy is better than bossio
So is S Craft Blendz
european style fade i respect it
Mate, I completely missed you at barber connect otherwise you'dve been first choice to get a tidy up!
This barber has a permanent sniffle. I think he's cutting more lines than just the ones in his client's hair.
I don't think he was happy
Pull-Up Then! Haha he reacted the same as i always do when i dont like it, its already done so why would u say u dont like it.
Its way easier to just say: yep look good and walk away and cry at home
That's just English politeness
Fade looks wonderful
Looks like Jamie Oliver, just me?
A little bit, yeah!
- Jack
Was thinking the same thing😂
Was just about to comment this 😂😂
Love your cuts bro ive been trying to practice more on them but keep it up man this help people like me that want to learn these things as a profession
Great job mate well done
looked better before...
I actually like this
Love this barber!!
Anayet Chowdhury me too he's nice and asks the client before he would do anything significant.
Dave (the barber) definitely knows his stuff!
- Jack
People out here judging.. im a barber myself and the fade that he did is one of the hardest fades to do.. because there is still so much hair on the sides. If u take the bulk of the sides it is much easier to blend that. So I think he did a good job.
PrinCipeReGa lol just put the first guidline and thats pretty much his fade
The cut is shit, absolutely hate it, way to bulky, cant even call it a fade, idk what this guy charged but probably somewhere around $30. My barber does a better job for $16
Less head hair videos, more beard videos!
We've got a video about beards coming out tomorrow
- Jack
Fire cut man, also my brother, if you want to wear some great sneaker for standing all day try Asics Nimbus, im a barbermyself and they are magical. Awsome break down with the skinfade, i like everystyle and you got style homie! I understand you dont cut much of the partial ridge area cuz his hair will fling up. So great work man!
people seem to not under stand that fades drop fades and weight lines differ from client to client and cut to cut. one thing is not better than the other, they are different. As a licensed Master Barber i can tell you that this is the problem within our industry. People arguing about what real barbering is when it isn't just one thing. this is why cosmetology is charging 78$ for a regular cut and there are shops in the us still charging 25$ That is an actual traditional mens haircut just like a high and tight, or a flat top, all scissor cut pompadour etc etc. Stop hating
Well said
Adoro sus trabajos y los sigo en todas las redes. Ustedes son impecables y super prolijos a la hora de realizar los cortes! Me encantaría ir a su país a perfeccionarme más en barbería!!!
Just because there's a heavy weight line, does not mean it doesn't qualify as a fade. Just because your barber fades your hair a particular way does not mean it's the only way. If you don't like the way the barbers cut hair on this channel, simply don't watch it. People and their one dimensional thinking.
Awesome job! Love this. A lot of men come in the salon and are wanting this type of skin fade nowadays. Haters will always have something to say. ❤️
A word of advice.... when ur blending. Use ur corners of the blades not the entire thing that’s why it is hard for u to take off your guidelines. I’ve noticed that the barbers here at beard brand. Have amazing shear skills and beginner fade skills.
Only thing that matters is the client saying ‘very happy’ too many barbers cut hair to show other barbers and not to keep the clients happy. It’s more of a high zero blend into bulk more than a skin fade but either way, guys happy with it ‼️
i can fade better with a spoon
Now THAT would be interesting to see
- Jack
😂😂
Another keyboard warrior try setting your own channel up than leaving negative comments or don't watch and probably there are cuts you can't do as well
@@H_F2023 we call you a keyboard warrior it's free speech so if u don't like comments don't reply
Shut up, yankee!
Fab fade love your work
Tracey Thomas do you have the vision
I want this exact hair cut what's the name of it? Or how can I tell my American barber to do it?
Carlos Quintero Same here. Have you been able to get an American barber to do this? They all tend to hate it lmao
its not even blended its like a big bulk u guys just blending the first line
Bro theres 3 lines in his head. I'm just saying, you guys need to fade more.
Albert Guillen nah he straight
Nice cut mate, smooth on long hair tht why the side looks dark, probably my reference channel
the top was def cool no doubt about it but i feel as if the fade just doesnt look right. maybe if he started the fade as a low skin fade? idk ive just been seeing a lot of fades from Europe looking are such short blendds or not blended at all. someone tell me im wrong??? sick scissors work tho!!!
The fade is too sudden, goes straight from skin to dark
If you get a thick side part will you ever be able to grow it completely back to normal ?
this type of hair is so hard to cut, also guys i have a question, is there any difference in length when you cut with 1 open or 1 1/2 closed ?
I feel this fade could have used a little more blending from the bottom guideline, however I understand that he wanted a tight fade with a little weight at the top. With that said, well done.
Handing out straight bowl cuts. Nice scissor work tho
Great cut hair texture looks very similar to mine
Good job mate!
Fresh boi fade
great video and good look with fade 👍👍
Very good job!
Excelent fade Bro. 🇻🇪🇻🇪👊🏾
You can still see the guide line that needs to be faded more and trimmed more overall it’s good haircut and good hairstyle 👍🏽
Love your cuts learnt so much are you at barber connect 2019
Nice fade how long do you guys allow for a fade time wise 👍🏻
Nice cut. 👍
Can men with thick hair get a slicker look? For example, Tom hardy in the movie “legend”?
Gentleman fade. Proper style. I prefer this look over some other stretched out fades. This is style, not swag.
Damn. I’m confused. I thought this haircut looked dope😂 then i read the comments. Someone send me a link of a good skin fade!
It is dope man but he shoulda spread his guidelines a little more and some people don’t like that much length left on the sides they’d rather have it all cut shorter/Blended all the way up but it’s all up to your preference I personally think it looks good that’s the style he went for
Lo Celso yeah i like it too bro lol
Lmao I’m glad I found someone else who thought it looked dope! This is the type of fade I want but barbers in the US just don’t like it 🤷🏻♂️
Terrible fade
Maybe if he stood still and turned the chair towards him, but wouldn't want to lower himself to cut like an American lol
Worst fade
Creo que necesita más cliper over comb o lo que sea para que se vea mejor.
La neta jaja
@@WigManPhil but yet 95% of barbers here in the states put all these UK barbers' work to shame lol what's in the water over there that these guys refuse to blend hair properly
8:15 - DAMN IT.
Guy getting the haircut looked gormless all the way through
LOL and he posted this video. Oh mannnnn
I wonder if the clients checks out this videos
That is really really bad
That moment when the before looks better than the after.
Hey bro awesome 💥💥💥💥outfit
8:52 “were not gonna spread it out” i don’t understand this move, the blend wasn’t terrible but the minimal spread just made it look so clustered
The silhouette looked good, but I would of stretched out the blend more. Up close it shows a good fade, but from a distance it'll look like a bowl haircut with that much weight at the top.
Why do these British barbers always do really compressed fades? I see they don’t have a lot of gradience to them
at 6:55 what kind of clipper is that? is it essential for a fade?
I might be the only1 in here but i really like the haircut although i can't call it a fade
their “fades” doesn’t look like a fade bc they’re guidelines aren’t big enough
You gave that guy a mean chili bowl. No real blend on the fade. I was more interested in the guy that was cutting next to you. Your shear work was really good and you have a very nice aesthetic way about you. Must be the only reason your on the channel tho. Work on the fade and balding faster and you would be on the top of the game.
good job !
The fade was ehhhh 😕 I feel like barbers here in the US are better at fades and clipper work and UK barbers are better at scissor work
The turkish barbers over here are on point with their fades man trust me 👌
What brand is the clipper holder hanging to the wall
I think this fade is nice for men who have a thin hair or like very strsight hair more like asian
The guy's hair is thick and straight which is basically every asian's hair. The barber understands the hair type and how the side hair behaves as it grows. He has to leave it longer in order slick it back.
It's the client's choice but he looked better before. Just needed to tidy up the neck a little bit.
Indeed
Y en qué momento empiezas a desvanecer las líneas que terrible fade
What is the name of the blue comb at the end?
I think everyone agrees the fade had the cramps too tight not a tight enough blend to carry the fade trough properly through to the top great techniques i will using but the bald line should have veen set in lower to give him room to work ive done this. Apreciate the tips and tricks with thinning shears still a struggle for me personally.
By “point two (0.2)” do you mean ‘use the half guard’ and by “point two five (0.25)” do you mean ‘use the quarter guard’?
These terms maybe common but, unnecessarily confusing for some people
Just probably suck at math
What is skin fade
Perfect tecnique haircut,good channel👍
I understood that he was trying to keep a lot of the length and bulk on the sides but that fade was not ideal. As a barber yes, we have to give the customer what they ask for, but there would have been no harm in taking even a bit of scissor over comb on the sides to graduate that from being sick a thick hard line and maybe even taking the fade ever do slightly lower would have helped significantly. It's always better to start a fade lower than you want it to be
The haircut likes a Kin Jong Un.
