I love all horses, but the Suffolks have a special place in my heart. My grandpa, many years ago, worked horses on the farm and in the woods. My favorite thing to do was go to grammas and gramps so I could go with him, whatever he may be doing. No trailer, just an old truck with a wooden body and he'd back up to a bank and load them on. The only downfall was, he had to be sure of a place to load and unload if he had a logging job. My favorite mare was named Diamond, she was awesome! Great memories and that is why I love your channel. Thank you. Beautiful job backing in the shed boys.
Yes, the backing these horses do, is amazing. When I had horses, I was lucky to get mine to back 2-3 steps!! They were not driving horses. Jim’s horses certainly have a lot of trust to back so far without seeing anything behind them. It amazes me each time.
Brenda, my wife loves your flower garden. Just beautiful. Jim you are about the best horse trainer ever seen. Love watching what the two of you do.
The time has gone so fast. I remember the video when we first met the baby red beauties, and here they are on the payroll. At least a heavy manure spreader doesn't stay so heavy for long.
I've always heard that the Suffolk horses were easy going, not very excitable. Glad to see those youngsters out and about. Hope y'all don't get flooded again.
Your garden, Brenda, is absolutely lovely with all of the fall flowers and foliage!!
Baren does really good job cutting grass.
Without a doubt, my favorite videos of the week are WHWJ !!!
These 2 brothers are going to make a very good team
Half Brothers
Now that's a very powerful 1 horse power mower.
That is a handsome team. Good boys.
Brenda you sure do work hard at making these videos, thanks so much.
Thank you Jim and Brenda. Duke and Earl are spreading the news😂❤❤❤❤.That is the best looking matched team and they do such a good job.
Duke and Earl are beautiful together ❤️
wow what a nice pair..they are so handsome together...super picture.
🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵Duke and Earl,,,haha ..youve both have done a super job..this was like a true visit today. very nice..hugs..curt and sue
Mower is a wonderful contraption wish I had one!
that beautiful Bree with that blond mane is just my fav.
All three horses did a great job. Adorable ❤
Duke and Earl looking good together. Seemed they were in step with each other. Baron looking sharp too. Another great video. Thanks.
The dream and passion of working with horses never die. I have a story; my aunt grew up with horses and raised a foal and all she did was ride and went in shows with the horse after many years her health went downhill and had to sell her beloved horse and could not ride anymore but the horse travelled 2-3,000 miles back to her a few times before that stopped and this is a good memory of my aunt, she has passed now many years ago. 🙏
Beautiful drone pictures.
Watching this video shows the results of excellent training that also included much patience, caring, and understanding. You should be proud Jim of your excellent work!!!
After the successful backup I think they are doing very well😊
Very impressiv picture seeing the pair backning the maneure wagon in place. Such a good job ❤❤❤❤❤
The colts did a fine job pulling the spreader! And it surprised me how good they backed it in the barn! I thought it may take a couple of tries backing in, but they did great on the 1st try. Didn't look like Baron even broke a sweat doing the mowing! Oh I love Abby's new kittens she got from the barn! There must have been a Siamese tom cat that bred with your mama cat since one kitten looks Siamese!😘 I love all the little black kittens that Skippy was playing with.
The garden bushes and flowers are lovely Brenda! What great footage of all the horses. I thought for sure Skippy would snatch that drone right out of the air! As active as he is he's sure learning to hold back! Even with the kitten conference!
I mow my yard with a European hand scythe. June is using Lady's tail as a flyswatter, pretty smart!
You have certainly had a lot of rain this summer. I love the sound of the horse and mower. Baron really has learned quickly ❤
Love those Suffolks! Look at how they put their shoulders into their work.
It is nice to see Jim patting horses of his and giving them a kind word or two ❤ Brenda is good at that❤👍. I can see that she loves those horses❤🎉
Wow, I been waiting to see this, exciting! step forward! way to go Jim! and Brinda! always a little nerve racking but exciting! Have a wonderful day.
THEY DID THAT LIKE OLD PRO's! Yay Duke and Earl and Jim. Billy tsught them well.!. And Barry doing so well on the lawn.!. I watch Vt Chnnl 3 News to see what the weather is like for northern. NY. Im so glad you were able to save your hay inspite of all that aweful rain.!.. thinking abt yall. Good thots.!. Hahaha Great natrations Brenda nd Jim. I loved droning a view of the grazing horses. Hope your weather clears up for ya!. God bless
They pulled together nicely.
Great show! Thanks. When are you going to start driving Bree. She looks big enough. Looking forward to her training......
Excellent well edited video. Lots of interesting topics and camera angles. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Bravo Boys on your first back up of the manure spreader ❤👏👏❤
Jim, you have quite the variety of well trained horses to use for all your jobs!!
The grass sure looks nice!
There is alot more traffic! I didn't think about it til you said something!!
Your garden is so pretty! Oh! Look at your flowers!! They're beautiful!!
Cool!! I'd love to have a drone!! Can you take pictures of what you see? Ooo!! It is kinda loud!! Haha!! No sneek peeks!! 😂 Love these videos!! 💕
It's like Baron is mind melded to Jim
Wonderful video! Duke and Earl seemed to work together well. Brenda, your garden is beautiful. Baron has certainly gotten to be a big boy! Always refreshing to watch. 😊❤
Thank you as always beautiful 😊
Jim I love your horses they are super cool so beautiful.
Thanks Jim! you're taking the nut and washer of your Mower Bar Arm that Holds the Mower Bar up, reminded me, that I needed to run a Die over my 7/16 " inch Natina Cours Threads. They got a little rusty from lack of use, and I had a hard time removing and put my Nut and Washer on. A matter of every day Matanane and everyone's safety!
I picked these 2 Mowers up a couple years ago, and I'm restoring my old Mccormic Deering Mowers back to usable. they have 6'FT. Mower Bars, and i picked up a pile of rusty extra parts. The wood is shot, the tongs were cut down for tractor use. : ( Quoting the US General from the Battel of the Bulge NUTS!
They are beautiful!! I love all horses. I think they are amazing special and deserve tons of respect love and the best care we can give. I fell in love with a draft team when I was very young. Patches and Dobbin. I could watch them for hours. Best memories ❤
#677 New pairs on fertilizer A ok back up Me thinks pretty good 🧐 I like airel shots now and then, other than an abundance of rain good farm day 👍👋
Great video! That's the largest 1 horsepower mower I've ever seen! Lol.
The red team looks good
bree is a beautiful horse
Hey Brenda, I'm glad your chickens move away when the mowing happens !
I'd hate to see them go legless and you have all those "drumsticks" everywhere !! Ha, Ha !!
Such a good boy. Baron can do anything..God bless..PRAY ON!!! ❤️🙏🌹
Beautiful Video. Love the team Jim you have such control of the horses. Also the equipment is always interesting such was used by my great grandfather in Kansas and its interesting to me thinking of some of the work he too must have done on their farm. If you recall my contact many years ago he's the one who got killed while working a team of horses when my grandmother was just three years old. Thanks for sharing love your entire family and the countryside.
Go Baron!!
The horses do so good working.
All the horses are beautiful, but there is just something about Baron. He is majestic. And Brenda I love your greenhouse area. It is gorgeous.
What pretty boys together
AWESOME VIDEO
Hi Jim + Brenda
Great video yet again, much appreciated for sharing,👍 up from me.Great to see the master @ work!would definitely be a farm I would enjoy to work on if we lived near but unfortunately I’m in 🏴 (uk) 😆
I really like the lawn work. Very nice the boys got along well doing the manure spreading. Lady and June were pairing in the field, nice.
Always wanted to cut my lawn that way & started to gain what I needed to but "things" happened. Wish there was a tiny home next ti folks like you with a storage shed I could rent with space to garden. Have looked but none I've found so just watch Y'all.
Greetings from San Diego, CA !! 💕🙏
Regardless of the excessive rain your garden remains beautiful.
The horse is very beautiful.
🐎🐎
Skip verses the drone 😂
The noise of the spreader does not phase these two at all.
Your flowers are beautiful, especially that hydrangea!! (Horses are beautiful too, of course.)
Brenda your hot house 🏡 looks amazing as does your garden. Skippy didn’t know what to do about that drone,it kinda scared him Lol. Anyway have a great week. From Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Brenda...you have to get a scooter!
What incredible your horse please show the world how many signal your horse understands please make only one video from this topic thanks
Your garden Brenda is looking awesome, beautiful👍🏼👌🏼. Was away on holidays, so trying to catch up on your videos. The horses are looking good. Will be interesting to see the two sisters in a year. 🤠🇨🇦
Great video an you have done a great job with the 3 colts❤❤🙏👏👏👏👏👏
very picturesque the horses the green fields and overcast sky
always love watch'in thanks for share'in ... God bless..!!!
Way to go boys!
great backing job!
Lol stay waaaay away from that piece of equipment!!! We have an Allis Chalmers poo spreader and it deposits poo from the front. Reason being that as the poo empties some weight and traction will still be on the front instead of the back where it would be drag you down the wrong way... I don't know it that makes sense but the makers were pretty smart I think. Haha naughty zippy!! Glad he doesn't want to really hurt the kittens
At 72, I can still say that my Grandfather, who had several Mules before he got his first small Cub tractor, would not believe you could get people to watch grass being mowed!
Duke and Earl did a great job "flinging the poo"!
I enjoyed the drone footage; Skippy, not so much. 😊
I love how Baron looks like he is high step strutting pulling the mower @ 12:30. Just has that look of yeah, "I'm the big boy and look at me doing my thing!" Duke & Earl did such a great job on the spreader today. I think those 2 will shape up to be a beautiful, hard working horse team, since there is no C names of horses in your herd, they will have to be known as the D&E Team! 🙂 Since you already have the B team. I love Bree's platinum blonde mane and tail, she is going to be a beauty! I also think Skippy had a growth spirt.
As always, love the content and please keep it coming.
This question is for Brenda. What is the bush growing by your greenhouse? Around 21.30. Thank you. My wife and I love the videos!!
it is a hydrangea
❤ Brenda, that pink bush in the corner of your garden is Beautiful, do you happen to know the name of it ?
Brenda,
What is the name of the beautiful bush by your garden? It has a pinkish cone flower on it. I kept seeing it while Jim was mowing. It is really awesome looking!!
Lady and bree looks much alike June looks alot like Baron. Is June still nursing? Thanks for the great videos.
Yes. That's a noisy contraption. Is Earl darker in color than Duke?
Hopefully, Jim wears ear protection when driving that NOISY spreader !!
Great video, as always. I look forward to every video!! Where's William these days?
Two scups was just right for them. Looked like they could do a few more loads at two scups.
Just a friendly FYI.. “SCOOPS” Have a great day!
@@lisadawn3046 Thanks I have bad eye sight
Maybe Brenda can learn how to mow with that mower using Ken since he is slow and steady.
when working with the manure do you get used to the ripe smell. I love your handsome boys, they are such well-behaved and easy-going horses.
Nice video! The Reds are all looking Good! The new Russet collars look great with their colors. What make and model is that mower? Tx!
Do you ever say anything to Skippy about chasing the kittens? He could easily kill them, even accidentally.
Thats an awesome team of horses.
Brenda what are you going to put in the planter box by the house with your A frame in it?
Sometimes I think you need a bigger spreader. You sure do to back n forth a lot to the barn! Wouldn't it be a little more efficient?
Oh " a perkins" you want a man who uses horses to become more efficient . Interesting.😊😊😊
@@chips4974 Ummm not what I meant... But nice try 😅
Jim is a smart man .His machinery the right size for his operation and paid for .Bigger is not always better .😊😊😊
Help! I've been following the B team since they were yearlings at their homeplace. Which one of the boys is a full bro to Baron? Can't remember. They both are awesome geldings!
How are the new collars working.
❤❤
Jim, (please excuse the bit of city slicker question) Do you keep track of where you spread manure so that eventually your whole field will be fertilized?
Yes😊
Brenda, what is the pretty blooming shrub by your greenhouse?
Did the problem with Earl stop where he wanted to lean back when he stpped
I can't imagine Jim's horses not doing what Jim asks of them. Shoot I bet he hook up June and Bree and do something. You need a pic for your calendar of Skippy and those black cats. lov you guys from down here in South Alabama.
How is the apple crop this year.
Does Jim work Ken at all anymore?
Chuckle, lots to mow. Baron could give dressage horses a run for their money with all the side passing he does. How do you get horses use to the clicky clacky of that machinery? Just amazing that they take it all in stride. That particular lawn mower, does it need a draft to pull? or can a smaller carriage horse pull that too?
The horse sanctuary from the air. What happened to Daisy?
Pansy is out with the cows
