This was their first video on MTV. If it were done today people would say it “broke the internet”. It was such a big deal as they’d been around for several albums before doing their first video. It’s truly a powerful video.
When they were billed to play it live during the Grammy's people were gathering at friends homes to watch it together. Man, those were the days... lol
This is the best version and I just saw this for the first time
The best live band i've ever seen. They never disappoint.
They are a miracle.
"Creeping death " or "Fade to black" live in Moscow is a must. That was them at there best. James voice and the band collectively doesn't get better than that.
Check out their Seattle 1989 set of ONE. HELL That whole Seattle 1989 concert was EPIC
Fucking awesome! It's impossible not to get the chills when he screams, "sticks in me". Gets me every time.
Great reaction from 2 cool cats......awesome channel, and yea METALLICA kicks ass-keep going!
Fade to black is a must to react
Really underrated vocals from james 85till 89
Fade to Black or Harvester of Sorrow next please. Rock on friends 🤟🤘✌️
They are amazingly good live. You will love it.
OMG I have never seen this video. It is such a legendary performance. So much energy. Mind blowing. Speechless.
The Kings 🤘
🔥 🔥
🤘💀🤘
They never disappoint when they perform this song. They have so many epic performances of One. ✌️❤️🤘🏻
Now you’ve opened Pandora’s box! Time to get into more live MetallicA!!! 🤘
Beautiful reaction! I've seen this performance hundreds of times and I still got chills...but many others deserve too. So more Metallica please!!
They performed this song at the 31st Grammy Awards and at the 32nd Grammy Awards they won Best Metal Performance for ONE. Not a bad track record at The Grammys either, 23 times they've been nominated with 9 awards to their credit. KINGS OF METAL!!!!
The undisputed and unmatched Kings of Music strike again 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘…..best band ever witnessed on the planet. These guys are the definition of (living) LEGENDS and TITANS. 41 years of dominating and ruling…and to this date they sell out every arena worldwide no matter the capacity faster than you can spell the word music…..thank you, Metallica 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
Don't get me wrong I love Metallica, I am huge fan of the band and have been since I first heard their music as a young child... In fact you could say I was born to be a fan, for my D.O.B, July 25th 1983 is the exact same day that Metallica released their debut album Kill 'Em All.... That being said I fundamentally disagree with your opinion on Metallica being the best band... Again they're an amazing band I definitely wouldn't be the same person I am today if it wasn't for them... But they are definitely not the best band ever... Don't get me wrong they're definitely up there... But I mean c'mon, better than Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin? Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble? And as far as Metal goes I would even argue Slayer and Pantera even Iron Maiden have better tone and musicianship and in particular Pantera and Maiden have a waaaaaay better singer, but I personally would rank Metallica higher as a favourite because I was a fan of them first... But not the best band ever...
They've been giving me chills since the early 80's.
Great band, Great song! And don't forget our veterans and the sacrifice they gave to make our country and the world a better and safer place!
Chills are a good thing. Great reaction!
She said “so far so good” lmao
To get the full context of the song do the official music video. It runs with movie clip "Johnny Got His Gun."
“…And Justice For All” live Seattle 1989 is one of my favorite live performances of Metallica I’ve seen
That was next level of greatness. 🎸🤘🔥
JAMES SAID ONCE "I DON'T LIKE TO SING SHIT". METALLICA ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY WITH AMAZING MUSIC THAT SPEECHES ITSELF. GREAT REACTION GUYS!!!!! 🤘🏼🎶
I need this for a SuperBowl Halftime show 🤘
Another great live Metallica performance is "Disposable Hero's" in Mexico City, you will shit!!
You should check out the Seattle 89 version.. you will love it... its more aggressive.
Have you watched Seattle 89? Mindblowing concert!
There are very few bands that utilize two guitars as well as Metallica. That’s especially true in this song.
That Nimes show was one of the best shows they recorded.
Now that we're dead is a newer song it's really good
One by Metallica is such an awesome song 🤘🤘
The official video for this is totally amazing!!!
Great reaction / review as always.
Y'all be safe
The live in mexico city and nimes france are both great concerts to watch if you wanna check out full sets of theirs.
Love watching new fans experience the greatest rock band on earth. Great find, this video is perfect
watch the video of this song they did with the San Francisco Symphony. Its beyond epic
This Performance is absolutely the Best, But She needs to watch the Real Video next.
This exact live performance got me into Metallica
lmao love it you two!
CREED with arms wide open Brad and Lex popped out hello they was looking at these comments and listening to y'all doing crazy good looking woman damn right
blackened from that same show is worth checking out too
I was in Nimes Arena for this show. :)
This song is Epic. You guys should listen to…
1) No Leaf Clover- they did with the San Fran symphony. There is a music video for it too
2)Hero of the Day- also w. Symphony
3) Bleeding me- w. Symphony
4) Master of Puppets w lyrics
5) Fade to Black w lyrics
6) The Unforgiven w lyrics
There are so many great songs!
Amazing
I luvs ya luvs em mama kin :)
Nice to see young folks fired up for great music.
Master of puppets Seattle 89’
Goose Bumps.....
Check out Ride the Lightning from the movie Through the Never. In my opinion, the best of Metallica in a live concert is just the background things going on while the music playing live.
There first record releast 1982. They wes like 21 yrs old.
Jesus William Henry Christ... If they love the live stuff I wonder how they'll react when they listen to "Tribute" -Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads? Particularly Suicide Solution. First time I heard that I was stunned into disbelief.
Great song. But that music video they made (their first One :P) really helps illustrate the story of the song. The futility of war and the torture (or as Plant sang, the Woe) of aftermath!
I remember reading somewhere that the One albums tempo was slowed down, this is the properer one?
React to The Day That Never Comes by Metallica live performance!
I LOVE YOU GUYS
can you react to Silverchair - Tomorrow live MTV awards 1995
long intros, so worth waiting for
React to ANYTHING from "Live Shit Binge and Purge" or "Seattle 89" Battery and Creeping Death especially..........theyre the only band thats better live then on album and their albums are masterpieces
♥️
Your woman is such a such such a delight for the eyes I I'm not saying
Now give the young lady a taste of Seattle '89 or Moscow '91......back in their "prime". The energy level they give the crowd and then it's given back....it's a never ending cycle of bad-assness (is that a word?).
Great vid, you guys!
Check the cover of Metallica's song "Master of puppets", by the "a capella" group Maytree. It will leave you with a smile for the rest of the day.
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
You you both please react to Blackened 2009 Nimes live .
If you guys are going to react to more live Metallica, Nimes is the one to do imho. Amazing concert, amazing location, not to mention the history of the stadium
There’s nothing like live Metallica.
If you get the chance, don’t miss it.
Ernesto white boy here
Thank God I saw them early. Not near the band.
React to Battery live 1989
Lars is a great drummer!!! You guys have to listen to “ the day that never comes” from the same show!!!!
I often see metal fans saying he's mediocre at best, but honestly I don't know enough about the technicalities of drumming to know how great he really is. I just know it's always worked well for me.
PapaQ Your first clue is never to listen to what others say , judge yourself Lars is playing with the song and is a great drummer!!
Holy crapa raiders fan and Metallica did e just become best friends ddo me a favor check out golgatha by wasp
You need to do Megadeth holy war/the punishment do
Oh yeah how great is that woman that's sexy oh yeah
For me the old live Metallica is way better then now days Metallica for reaction. Next time try something from
Seatlle 1989 or San Diego 1992
I think you should think about some driving and crying brother driving and crying you would like rock and roll this is the s*** brother this is the cola Bud driving and crying Fly Me Courageous that's what I'd like I better not say that but the song is called Fly Me Courageous I bet it'll rock your woman's
Amazing performance but if you wanted her to get the deep meaning of the song you should have watched the official video, she seems to have no clue what the song was about and that’s understandable with a live performance
Your lady is hott for James hetfield. It’s ok man
It's amazing how Lars has absolutely no concept of phrasing or tempo after nearly 40yrs of being a professional drummer.
Guy must be doing something right 🤷♂️
😂You’re not wrong😂
@@spjunkies yeah the guy mixing in the studio is fixing his lack of tempo
Ice Nine Kills - Farewell II Flesh
Maybe explain to your wife it's lyrics are based on the horrors of war
I wish everyone would stop reacting to videos. Just listen to the music they cut a portion out of the song for this version
Glad James is performing well again. Good on ya bro.
Actually I don't find this performance great but then again they never were able to play this song live satisfyingly (basing it on the original ofc). Tempo is always way too high, the notes are never delayed, it's just "get up as fast as possible". Till today I still don't know why because it's actually my favorite Metallica song album, but live it's always to me a shit show, I mean it's not terrible but it's not what I expected :P
Will you ain't listening! I SPECIFICALLY TOLD you to listen to Ride the Lightning from Metallica. NOW you play drums so appreciate real skill.
Metallica is ridiculous live . Watch them in the 80s !
The 1st 4 albums in the underground before they were discovered are timeless everything after that is garbage
I've been to 50 concerts second best concert ever only Stevie Ray Vaughan was better
SHE DOSNT GET IT
which concert is this and the date please
