Southpaw is a movie that feels like it was made for me. From the director, to the writer, to the star, and the music. And since it's release in 2015 it has been one of my favorite boxing movies.
"cinema. pure and simple." - Mike Tyson
Mohammed or mike
@@JoeHeart-l7x Mohammed is hard to be topped.
@@JoeHeart-l7xbiggest name under mikes resume is a 40 year old Holmes Ali beat the best of the best in the best era In heavyweight history and most of it past his prime and wish Parkinson's
"Ciythamin" - mykth tythson
@@Man-of-Steel674 true but Mike a legend in itself I mean Mohammad fast Mike is going to the gym technique and not fully evolving into a human and keeping his monkey strength for lack of better words
This movie is easily one of my favorites of all time, I’m glad I’m not the only one still talking about it.
This is my favorite boxing movie also. Especially since Eminem did the soundtrack too.
Antoine FuqYa! Definitely underrated director
I love cinema
I agree Tex, one of my favorites
I Am Pheomenal!!!🔥🎶
Movies like the first Rocky and Creed didn’t resonate with me the way this movie did, cuz at the end of the day rocky and creed had support and love from fans and loved ones but Billy, he lost everything. His friends and family. He had no one and the story of redemption just makes me relate so much
I've misses your videos, bro
Eminem and other rappers acting performance are servly underrated because it was long ago like ice cube actually do a review on boy in da hood or Friday I think you'll like it
The Mike Tyson quote in the beginning cured my depression 👍
Raging bull is awesome
Also Eminem was supposed to play Matt Damon's character in Elysium.
Man just turning down roles for the hell of it. I respect it.
If you like martial arts movie's you should check out avengemt with scott Adkins, its a banger 👌😤
Have a blessed day ✝️
The first hollywood movies I watched were martial-arts/fighting ones and despite only having remembering few frames from some of them from my childhood I remember them to be good times. Except for this Amber Herd movie called "Never back down". The main male protagonist was and the coach was great but the American college life bit with the Naked girls kissing in indoor pool and the fact Amber Heard's Character being tossed around between the Main Protagonist and the Antagonist made my stomach turn. I am not a prude but that was way to yucky for 13 y/o brain.
I thought I was the only one who remembered that movie 😂 It actually got sequels believe it or not.
@@TexYTOh lord 😂😂
And I really have to proof read my comments 😂😂
You spelled Rocky 3 wrong
You misspelled 4, common mistake
too bad that the movie's title has been ruined for me by a youtuber with the worst opinions ever
Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?
Sorry brah That movie sucked. Mediocre at best. Go watch Gladiator or Diggstown
Disagree but I respect your opinion. Also Gladiator is goated
Southpaw,Rocky 1 and Creed 1 are my favorite boxing movies.
Would definitely recommend checking out *Megalo Box* it's a dope anime that blends the Sci-Fi feel incredibly with Boxing🧑🦯
I've seen it but haven't finished it yet. It is good from what I've seen so far! 😤
@@TexYT you should continue it then!
Mike Tyson was wild in the 90s bro. And yeah as a longtime martial artist, I always liked Southpaw too. Felt that the drama of how Billy's wife got shot was a bit contrived, but then maybe that's the point of the movie. Getting your panties in a twist over menial shit often leads to absolutely devastating consequences. People getting into fights over nothing, one guy getting knocked out and landing unlucky, stuff like that happens all the time and gets people killed and others locked up for years. Tons of regret over things that could've been so easily avoided. Yeah come to think of it, that's actually solid writing in this film.
Review the equalizer trilogy please
Antoine Fuqua is one of those guys who's consistently good, but not regularly discussed. And I honestly don't know why.
really liking the experimental content you got going would love to see you talk about your favorite films
As someone not into sports but the occasional sports anime, this does seem pretty interesting movie.
What about warrior with Tom Hardy?
Don't worry I didn't forget about that one. 😉
Funny seeing films of true cinema and then you have Snyder films in there and it becomes muddled
Good video, very authentic deserves more viewership
